  1. Persona 4 art book sounds really cool! Never really thought about it before, so here I go. I own the following pieces of game merchandise: - Dark Souls art-book and OST - Dark Souls T-shirt - Black Ops Medal (comes with Hardened Edition) - Black Ops 2 T-shirt - PixelJunk Monsters T-shirt - Silent Hill 2 OST - Silent Hill Downpour OST - Two Worlds 2 OST (the publisher/developer randomly sent it to me with the game)
  2. I was among those affected when the Sony PS3 accounts got hacked and people's information was leaked back in 2011. Had to phone my bank and change a load of shit. Was a pain in the ass.
  3. The worst game I've ever played is Solbrain Knight Of Darkness on PS4. I had to review it a while back (think my review is the only one on Metacritic). It was so bad, Sony actually stepped in and pulled it from the PSN! What's the worst game you've ever played???
  4. Honestly, I miss the old cheat codes of yesteryear. Surprised how few developers use them in their games nowadays.
  5. Best combat, huh? I'd probably opt for the Soulsborne series. I love how fluid and rewarding it is. Also, not sure if this counts, but Call Of Duty's shooting mechanics are tight af. Oh, and Octopath Traveler and Darkest Dungeon's combat is my favourite in the turn-based realm.
  6. I'm currently playing Aliens Vs Predator (2010) MP, COD: Black Ops MP, Into The Breach, Bad North, Dungeon Travelers 2, Mass Effect Andromeda and The Golf Club 2019. Pretty eclectic mix there!
  7. I'm a big fan of JRPGs, niche Japanese indie horror games and classic tile-based dungeon crawlers. Hoping for a few to come over to the west and launch on Switch/PS4/PC *fingers crossed*
  8. Resident Evil VII is awesome in VR! I also really liked Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood (PSVR only though I believe). It had an insane level that involved lots of giant spiders that really got under my skin! Oh, and THUMPER. Don't forget THUMPER!
  9. Mine are LIMBO, INSIDE, FTL: Faster Than Light, Darkest Dungeon, PixelJunk Monsters and Hotline Miami. Have I missed anything? What are yours?
  10. ICO's a great game from an incredibly talented developer. In my opinion, Shadow Of The Colossus is superior, though and I'd recommend SOTC over ICO, personally. I love both game's art-styles, vibrant dream-like worlds and subtle 'show don't tell' storytelling. Amazing games.
  11. I'm a bit mixed on it. On one hand, I really the dig the cheaper price point, the inclusion of cloud saves and the inclusion of a bunch of SNES/NES classic games. And then on the other, I hate the idea that Nintendo will delete ya cloud saves if you don't continue subscribing and you'll lose all those classic NES/SNES games. I really would've preferred to just buy the classic retro games for cheap than to have them used as a sort've "ransom" to make you pay for their online service. Still, it's very cheap - particularly compared to the other competitors - which irons out some of my disgruntlement. Wanna try it for a while before passing my final judgment tbh.
  12. I used to play the series religiously when I was a wee whippersnapper. After hours and hours and hours I finally took Cardiff City to the Premiership. My bro's friend was around one day and thought it would be *hilarious* to delete my progress. I legit cried when it happened. Never touched the series since.
  13. There are a few super relaxing indie games that spring to mind: Flow, Flower and Journey (all three are by the same awesome dev). I also find Skyrim pretty chill, as well. Just walking around Skyrim is super meditative and calming. PixelJunk Monsters is also a pretty relaxing game on PS3/PS Vita. A new one is out for Switch/PS4 too but it's not quite as fantastic.
  14. I thought the first one was pretty funny. Not seen the second one yet.
  15. Also, Euro Truck Simulator must be *super* dull. Surprised it's got such a hardcore following tbh.
  16. It tends to depend on the game tbh. I actually save really often in games like Fallout or Skyrim because I can't bear re-doing a stretch of games after being killed or hitting a bug. Ideally, games should autosave often. That said, games like the Souls series don't need frequent saving. A big part of the risk/reward element of the game relies on the constant threat of losing a ton of progress. But, yeah, that risk/reward feeling isn't for everybody!
  17. I'd say Mario Kart. Such a fun party game/drinking game, haha.
  18. PSN, eShop and Steam Sales are always handy for picking up some bargains. CDKeys is pretty good for some cheap DLC packs/PSN Vouchers. Also sometimes check HotUKDeals if I'm interested in picking up a new AAA game at launch to find a good deal.
  19. AvP (2010), some of the older CODs and Killzone: Mercenary on Vita all have a surprisingly impressive sense of community even though they're fairly "old" games. Met lots of people playing AvP, moreso than any other game.
  20. I actually use my PS3 as much as my PS4 at the moment. The free online play for PS3 is a massive boon. I can see myself keeping the PS3 for a long while yet.
  21. Yep, for sure. Nostalgia is not inherently a bad thing. But, yeah, leaning too far into nostalgia for nostalgia's sake can backfire. I think most Nintendo franchises are naturally nostalgic properties. Most people played Ninty's games growing up. I guess I just felt that Super Mario Odyssey felt a little too long in the tooth for me. It seemed to resonate well with most gamers, though. Plus, take what I say with a pinch of salt as I haven't beaten the whole game yet. I just wasn't feeling the first 5-6 hours. Need to give it another try...
  22. And that's without mentioning Detroit: Become Human, Uncharted 4, Heavy Rain, Journey, Spider-Man etc. It's an amazing system with a phenomenal library.
  23. Get a PS4. Bloodborne, God Of War and The Last Of Us are some of the best games of the generation. Do it!
  24. The trailer looked really cool but the general scuttlebutt about the game is that it's pretty underwhelming (reviews have been mediocre, for the most part). Will probably check it out in a sale when it's super cheap. Great premise, though.
