  1. I usually play COD campaigns on Normal/Hardened, but if I haven't got much time and want to breeze through it (maybe there are lots of other games I want to play at that time) I'm happy to breeze through it on Easy. Everyone's different, though, I guess.
  2. The last new games I picked up were Bad North and Into The Breach on Switch. Both badass strategy games, though Into The Breach is a hell of a lot deeper. Need to get Spider-Man at some point, too. Maybe when I see it in a sale.
  3. Telltale made a Game Of Thrones game but it's definitely one of their weaker series. I agree, though, some kind of Oblivion or The Witcher-esque Game Of Thrones RPG would be dope as hell.
  4. I love a mix of genres tbh but I often gravitate towards RPGs, horror, FPSs and experimental indies. I'd give any game a fair shake, though.
  5. I'm sure Ready Player One would lend itself well to a video game thanks to its plethora of pop culture nods. Also, Stephen King's IT, The Shining and The Mist would make awesome horror games. On that thought, why the heck hasn't there been a proper Stephen King video game adaptation??
  6. I've spent a ton of time on both but I naturally gravitate towards console gaming for convenience and because that's where most of my friends are.
  7. I play mostly on PS4 and Switch, but I occasionally boot up my PS3 for online (it's FREE!) and PS Vita for an indie/JRPG.
  8. I think TT are a super talented developer but their engine is definitely antiquated. Loads of gamers' saves got eaten in Tales From The Borderlands, for example. Those sorts of bugs are unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of their games and I loved TFTB, The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and even enjoyed the first season of Minecraft Story Mode. That said, TT need to invest in upgrading their engine and giving the backend a polish. The engine has been showing its age for a long while and the longer they leave it, the more people will bounce from their games and not come back.
  9. Last weapon I used was a pulse rifle in AvP. I think I'll be okay as long as I've got access to an unlimited supply of ammo lol
  10. Honestly, I'm pretty worried about Battlefield 5 this year. That delay is only going to make things worse.

    Post your specs

Off the top of my head, mine's an old ALIENWARE x51:- Intel core i5 cpu Nvidia GTX 660 1.5GB 8 GB DDR4 RAM 1TB HDD 7200RPM Yeah, I think I need to upgrade it...
  12. I know Nintendo do this, but didn't realise Sony did. Is it just a US thing? Us Europeans always get stiffed with stuff like this.
  13. I picked up Friday The 13th: The Game without realising it didn't really have much of a single-player component (I don't have PS Plus atm as I'm a bit broke -- when I fancy playing online I just end up booting up the ol' PS3 to get my online fix). Long story short, I was really disappointed with my purchase of F13th The Game. I'm sure it's fun online, though. Dead By Daylight is supposed to be pretty good. But my favourite horror games of the last few years are more single-player experiences like Resident Evil 7, Outlast, Detention, Lone Survivor, Silent Hill 2 etc. Not sure if those count, though! 🙂
  14. Yes! I love RPGs. Any mobile ones that are worth pulling the trigger on? Ideally on iOS?
  15. Aye, God Of War is gonna be tough to beat, for sure. Red Dead 2 is a likely candidate. Just wish I was more into the western genre and Rockstar Games in general, personally. But I'm sure it's gonna be amazing for those looking forward to it.
  16. Ashamedly, I must admit that I've not played a Valkyria Chronicles title yet, but I only hear good things about the franchise. I love its watercolour painting aesthetic. Must put it on the to-do list!
  17. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really enjoyed both Alien: Covenant and Prometheus. What did everyone else think of these sci-fi horror flicks?
  18. Man, I'd be all over an N64 mini. I have SNES mini and I love it but truthfully the N64 is a console that I always wanted but was always too broke to buy. I'm sure Ninty will release one, one day.

    Xbox One X

Aye, I 100% agree with this. If MS had a decent library of games or had some really notable games in the works for the Xbox One then I'd consider it. Unfortunately, it really looks like MS is simply focusing its energy on putting infrastructure in place for the next gen. MS know they've lost this gen so I think that they're looking ahead at the next console now so they can hit the ground running. Releasing the Xbox One X wasn't the best idea but, hey, it's still an impressive piece of hardware. I just wish it had the games to back it up with.
  20. Some great deals on PSN right now but one that caught my eye was a JRPG called Battle Chasers: Nightwar for £7.49 (£9.99 for those without PS Plus like me). Not played it yet personally, but I've only heard good things. Thought I'd give all you JRPG enthusiasts out there a heads up! 🙂
  21. 2018's been a terrific year for games. Personally, my games of the year so far would be God Of War, Into The Breach, Octopath Traveler and Detroit Become Human. What's everyone else's games of the year?
  22. Super interesting question. Definitely got me thinking. My knee-jerk reaction is that if Ellie is immune to the virus, then the truth is there must be more people who are immune to the virus like Ellie in the world, surely? Careful quarantining could be a way forward, but I think the fungal nature of the virus means it may take a long, long time for it to die out. Also, it could potentially lay dormant for many decades before it's truly wiped out. Heck, mushrooms can survive with very little nutrition for a very long time, so I'd say that some kind of vaccine would be essential for the survival of humanity. Just my two cents.
  23. I'd absolutely love a brand new Silent Hill game. That'd be bodacious. Or perhaps a new Aliens Vs Predator. I'd be so down for either of those series to make a return.
  24. Honestly, I think MS *could* potentially get into the handheld market. But like Demon_skeith said above, it's just not a super lucrative market for MS to invest in as Ninty have the market share and mindshare with the Switch. I do often wonder, though, what a MS handheld would look like. It could happen but it's unfortunately very unlikely as it's probably not the best business decision. Sony is more likely to release another handheld and that's pretty unlikely unfortunately, too.
  25. I actually fancy picking up a GBA as a retro handheld. Never owned one. Always wanted one. Will keep my eyes peeled for one...
