  1. They do a "polar plunge" as they call it here every year. And every year at least one asshole stays in too long and ends up with severe hypothermia and has to go to the hospital. Apparently, Americans still haven't figured out what "common sense" means.
  2. I'm not lying. I found this post yesterday. https://columbiamo.craigslist.org/vgm/d/columbia-new-ps5-disk-edition/7224296555.html
  3. I have multiple copies of FF8. Both original black label and greatest hits. I also have collectors editions of the guide. I have roughly about 20 PS1 memory cards, and just as many PS2 cards. It can be a real pain in the ass finding the specific file you want to play with that many cards, but if you end up playing big games that take multiple blocks, then it's virtually required. One that I've seen going for a lot online that's in my collection is Castlevania SOTN. Another thing I have that seems to be rare is the Assassins Creed edition of the PSP. I lost the game LONG AGO, but still have the machine somewhere around here.
  4. Many times. I've woken up to a game over screen more times than I care to count. It's frustrating as hell.
  5. Yes it's art. It's no different than music or movies. It's a medium that people use to show their artistic side. Some do other things. My art is the written word. I've written 2 novels, several short stories, and a hell of a lot of unconventional poetry. Some prefer a brush. Some prefer a saw and hammer. It's art from those that have the drive and knowledge to create it. There are games I personally just aren't into all the way to others that I despise. But my feeling on those games does not negate the fact that they are still art.
  6. I don't use a headset, but if anyone is interested in earbuds that have a microphone I recommend getting Raycons. The sound quality is perfect, and the microphone is perfectly clear. I use them a lot when I'm driving so I don't have to worry about trying to handle my phone and can just take care of the call. They're bluetooth and seamless. They're also comfortable as hell, and don't fall out.
  7. I have to give nakano.io a shout out. They're a small indie developer, but they have put out some really great games. I have several on my Switch, and no complaints whatsoever.
  8. I don't know your son obviously, but depending on his age, image can be everything. He may just want it to either keep up with his friends, or have some false sense of superiority. If he has what kids his age have determined the best, it will elevate his standing among his peers. Unless childhood has significantly changed in the last 30 years.
  9. The only game like that that I can think of would be Campaign '84 on Colecovision. Nothing recent comes to mind however.
  10. Depending on which platform you're wanting to play on would help narrow down games. I have 3 on my Switch that are fun. I don't know what all platforms they're available on, so you would want to look into that depending on what you're playing on. These may not really be what you're looking for, but here's the trailers anyway. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ American Fugitive +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Earthworms +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thief Simulator
  11. I don't know if it technically counts, but AOE2 would get my vote.
  12. The weirdest thing about the zombies was that they were tied to trees upside down a few feet off the ground. I was trying to get the vanilla flower that was between one zombies legs, and couldn't get to it because I couldn't just cut it down to get it out of the way. So I threw a stick of dynamite and that got it down. When I walked to another tree only a few feet away is where shit got weird. I came back and the damn thing was tied to the tree again in the exact same way. When I walked towards my horse it jumped up in the grass and attacked me, and that's when more of them came after me. But the one that attacked me was the one that was tied to the tree again. Same clothes, same rot, same hair, everything. That part had to be a glitch of some kind, but the anaconda wasn't. It was dead and hanging from a heavy branch in a tree. Going by a look at everything and roughly judging height by how tall Arthur is, I would say the snake was 30' easily. I've seen a lot of snakes at different zoos, TV, and online, but I can't say I've ever seen an orange one. Especially an orange anaconda.
  13. That’s a stereotype. The term “warlock” comes from the words waer loga which means “oath breaker”. Calling an evil mage a warlock is like calling anyone with a shaved head a neo-nazi.
  14. I've used several of the controllers on this list. But I have to disagree about the N64 controller. I personally think it's one of the best. It's a comfortable design with the buttons in perfect place to use. For me it's second only to the PS4 controller.
  15. I'm not playing online though, so I don't see how it would be a Halloween event.
  16. This is the normal everyday copy of the game I’m talking about here. Who else has had to fight zombies and come across an orange anaconda?
  17. I see a folding phone as nothing but a hassle. I think it's a lot smarter to keep the basic design of phones as they are now. One solid piece with no physically moving outer parts. I just upgraded last yer to an iPhone 6s. That's right. The 6s was an upgrade. I had used an iPhone 5 for years, until it finally completely crapped out on me. And I'm talking more than 5 years. And it was a hand-me-down to start. Why didn't I upgrade to the newest iPhone? Because I didn't need all the bullshit that came with it, it cost over $1000 (the 6s was $200), and I didn't see a point in going for something just because it's new. Also I couldn't afford to drop $1000+ on a damn phone. I could get a Tracfone for $50 and just put time on it. I did that for more than 10 years, and had no complaints. And the 6s does absolutely everything I want it to do. So why the hell not? Also that 6s wasn't used. It was brand new.
  18. Being that those codes are released to the public to use every day, there's no chance they'll win. It's a ploy to lure people in to buy food so they can get "extra chances" to win the Xbox. No one ever actually wins these things. It's like with McDonalds Monopoly. They only have one Boardwalk printed, but only once every 10 years or so does someone actually find it.
  19. Customer Number 1: I want to buy a PS5. Clerk: Here you go. Customer Number 2: I want to buy a Nintendo Switch. Clerk: Here you go. Customer Number 3: I want to buy an Xbox X. Clerk: Which one? Customer Number 3: .................
  20. Tak And The Power Of Juju is one that most everyone seems to have forgotten about as well. It was a bit goofy, but still a lot of fun.
