  1. @kingpotato I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing about the Wii that is retro. Playing NES/SNES/N64 games on it is nothing more than an emulator.
  2. Not so much as you might think. I know the marines say that if they were going to train their soldiers with a "toy" they would just send them into battle with water guns, and cut out the middle man. But then again, the marines are arrogant narcissistic assholes, so I wouldn't recommend taking anything they say as having value. I know this because, as ashamed as I am to admit it, I was in the marines.
  3. I got it for $40. But that was at the GameStop by my house.
  4. I’ve never played the game before, but thought people here would find the video interesting.
  5. I downloaded this game a couple days ago, and holy shit it's fun. It's a puzzle game that has you escaping small areas at a time, and you have to find clues to know what to do next. There are items that you can pick up that you will need in that specific area. It's not a survival game. No one is hunting you. It's entirely a puzzle game, and gives your brain some good exercise. I don't know if it's available on Android, as I use an iPhone and got it through the app store. But if you can get it, I highly recommend getting it. You won't be disappointed.
  6. I used to create items for Diablo 2 that could power game my characters. It wasn't hard to write the script. And I was able to do it so that the game didn't read it as a cheat. I always wrote all the abilities I wanted into a ring. The game couldn't tell the difference between a ring found ingame, and one that was home made. It was a bit difficult to code it at first, but after a while, it became second nature. But that was also almost 20 years ago. I would have to relearn how to write code in the game all over again. I guess that's why I'm just a story writer in the game crew I'm part of.
  7. I’ve hit a few lucky breaks buying games. What I mean by that is, there have been several times that I’ve come across games at GameStop that looked good and had a price of $2. I would take the chance and buy it. My thinking is that if I found a game that I enjoyed, then I got a hell of a deal. If I didn’t like it, at $2 I didn’t really lose anything. And I’ve scored pretty much every time.
  8. How about in RDR2 when you’re supposed to be throwing a stick of dynamite into the cave but hit the crate you’re hiding behind and blow yourself up.
  9. I can attest to that. When I was a kid it was, for all intents and purposes, exclusively fantasy games. Zelda, Wizards & Warriors, Legacy Of The Wizard, etc. But as I got older my interests slowly started to branch out a bit more. The first game I can think of that isn't pure fantasy that I actually started enjoying is Blaster Master. Games to follow were Contra, Mega Man, Excitebike, Kung Fu, Punch Out, Earthworm Jim, F-Zero, Star Fox, and assorted fighting games just to name a few. Also one of my absolute favorite games is not fantasy, but more sci-fi than anything, despite the title. At least in my eyes. Final Fantasy 8. If you were to ask 8 year old me, I wouldn't have given any of those games the time of day. It was fantasy or Mario. Nothing else. I was young and stupid. Now I know that while it may be a bit out of my typical comfort zone, that doesn't mean I won't enjoy the hell out of it. Otherwise I never would have fallen in love with Blaster Master, and later on, FF8.
  10. 10:37 AM 5-20-20 If I did it right. The ad is supposed to load in Steam right?
  11. Blaster Master. After 30+ years, it’s still one of the most difficult games I’ve ever played. But so worth it.
  12. I don’t know if I would call this one a puzzle game, but it’s one of the most zen games I’ve ever seen. Ascendance is more than worth getting.
  13. Another really great one in Switch is Poly Puzzle.
  14. I’m just signed up for YouTube premium. It takes care of ads and commercials so I don’t have to put up with that bullshit.
  15. The Antagonist. He would be a great partner in laying waste to the life of my enemy. Afterwards we could go on a cross country trip having fun the entire way the whole time. We would leave bits and pieces of our victims here and there. A finger, an eye, a tooth, etc. Ah, good times.
  16. Jason coming at me in Sophia 3rd. First I want to know what the fuck I’m doing in a nuclear underworld. After that is figured out, I would climb in Sophia 3rd when Jason ventures out from her, and wait. When I saw him emerge back out, open fire. Then take Sophia 3rd and get the hell out of there.
  17. Weren't we in the 90's at one point?
