  1. Playing with my new gaming desktop.
    HOLY SHIT!!!!

    1. Shagger

      Shagger

Great to see. Glad you're enjoying it.

  2. I tried to find it, and it wasn't anywhere in the eShop. I'm confused from what you said. Is it released yet, or coming soon? You said announcement trailer, then mentioned after you get a few minutes of gameplay. But even in a search for the name of the game it didn't come up, whereas it should have even if it hasn't been released yet.
  3. One problem that we all face at a forum, is that we're reading text, and can't hear the tone of voice when a person says something. It may look like an attack when they're making a sarcastic joke. @Crazycrab and @Shagger are brothers. Say one of them called the other an asshole for liking >insert game title< in a joking manner. Or just said only assholes liked that game as a poke at his brother. Now say you are a huge fan of the game. You wouldn't be able to tell if he was saying the only ones in the world who like the game are assholes, or if it was a joke between brothers. Is he just calling his brother an asshole as a joke? Is he saying all fans of said game are assholes? Without hearing a tone of voice, all we have to go on is emotionless text. It's a part of the reason I skip some of the topics on this forum. But this topic is meant to be fairly abrasive. Now I'm not a mod, and I'm not trying to do a job that isn't mine, but I would like to suggest that people check their sensitivities at the door when clicking on this thread. But that's just my opinion, which may be an unpopular one.
  4. One thing that I find absolutely hilarious about this subject, is that some way, somehow, there is always at least one person that connects the Illuminati to everything. I always look forward to hearing how they are involved with everything. Hell I've done it just for a laugh, and made it as outlandish and ridiculous as I possibly could. BTW, I am an Illuminati spy here to watch you people. whoops, I probably shouldn't have told you that... shit I'm in trouble
  5. I have 2 car window flags on my van that I bought from the BLM store. They simply say BLACK LIVES MATTER. I have supported the BLM movement for quite a while, despite the fact that I'm a white woman. Am I wrong for supporting it? No, I don't think so. I've been called a race traitor for it, but fuck those assholes. I'm not running out to join the NAACP, but that doesn't mean I think a black person's life has less value than a person of any other color. There have been many black people that I've known who, IMHO, held more value than any other person I knew at the time. I'm not saying they lost their value, but that I've simply lost contact with them over the years. Racism is bullshit people. Get the fuck over yourselves.
  6. Gaming on PC for the most part is a waste. Games play better in my eyes on the consoles they're made for. I'm going to assume that next you're going to tell me that I should get all my NES and SNES games switched to emulators and quit playing them on consoles, right?
  7. Zelda and SMB often have easter eggs of the other one in the games. For example when you make it through the castle courtyard to meed Zelda as a child in Ocarina Of Time, if you look through the windows you'll see pics of Bowser, Mario and Yoshi on the walls. It's more rare to see Zelda in Mario games, but I have seen them. I just can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment.
  8. The title says it all. What about games in second person? Granted there aren't a lot, but if you've played certain racing games you know what it is. First person has you in the drivers seat looking through the drivers eyes. Third person has you out behind the car watching it. But second has you in a spot like you're riding on top of the car. Like I said, there aren't a lot of games that offer a second person perspective, but for the games that do, what is the thought of them? I think it's an interesting option, but can't say I've played enough games with the option to really have an opinion.
  9. I don't know if this is just on my end, but suddenly there is an ad that keeps popping up at the top of the forum, that has never been there before. It's driving me insane because it knocks the forums down when it appears, and always ends up bringing up the wrong thread, or takes me back to the main page of the forum. Or if my mouse is in the wrong spot, it takes me to whatever the fucking ad is advertising, which flat out pisses me off. Is there any way I can get rid of this damn thing?
  10. I missed the entire PS2 era, and didn't get to try it until after the PS3 was out, due to being homeless. I also skipped the Wii U and went straight to Switch. I picked up a PS4 a few days ago, and my girl got me an Xbox One last year on Black Friday I think. I just remember it was on sale for $99 brand new. I may buy a PS5 at some point (doubtful), but it will be several years from now. I prefer to wait until after bugs the developers missed are fixed, more games are available, and the price has gone down. Also everyone knows I'm a classic gamer, so I doubt I will have any use for a PS5. Unless I specifically want the backwards compatibility and new game capability. The only reason I can think of for me to get one would be if there are any new God Of War games released on the system. I flat out love that series. I know it was initially released for the PS2, but I never knew that and got the games on PS3. The one that actually got me into the series is Chains Of Olympus, as I had it on the PSP.
  11. I have to complain about one that's probably the holy grail of gaming to a lot of people here. Skyrim. The game has amazing graphics. There's no denying that. But the controls flat out suck. Using two joysticks to control the character is bullshit. You should be able to point them where you want to go without having to turn them to bullshit angles with one and move them with the other. that's about as realistic as the god damn tooth faerie. It ruined the game for me almost immediately. I haven't touched it in months. RDR2 has the same control setup and I can't stand it either even though I love the game. A slight mistake on whether you're looking at your feet or enemy, and you're dead. It's complete bullshit as I already said. Make a game with controls that make fucking sense. It's not that god damn hard.
  12. Underground metal and rap. There are only a handful of mainstream bands I like. My absolute favorite band, coincidentally enough, is mainstream. Disturbed. Some other bands I like are Device, Linkin Park, Static-X, Hatebreed, Devil Driver, Arch Enemy, 6 Feet Under, Them, Dimmu Borgir, Broken Hope, and Breaking Benjamin just to name a few. For the rap I like Twiztid, Boondox, Blaze, ABK, AMB, BAD MiND, Eminem, Ice-T, Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Necro, Snoop, Tupac, 3 6 Mafia, Wolfpac, KO Streetz, and a few others.
  13. I prefer 3rd person because I want to see the character I’m playing. If I’m sneak attacked from behind, first person makes it harder to find that enemy. My girl hates first person. When she was a kid she had a dinosaur hunting game that was first person. She kept being attacked from behind by velociraptors, and had nightmares for years after quitting the game. For me it’s just an uncomfortable view. Like wearing your shoes on the wrong foot.
  14. @m76 I have to disagree with your opinion on RDR2. I related to Arthur, and got so emotionally involved with him and his gang that I was broken hearted when I finished the game. It felt like I had lost someone that I loved. I doubted that I could ever play the game again, but I had to see them again so I did start up a new game. I don’t plan on going super far into it, because I want to be able to see them all whenever I need them. They’re like family to me. Maybe because my own family was so abusive to me. I don’t know, but I played that game with my heart, not my hands.
  15. I taught myself HTML when I was about 16. I used to have a website that I built strictly with HTML, and a touch of prewritten JavaScript. It looked really professional for the time frame. As for the JS, I can’t write my own, but I can usually manipulate a prewritten code to fit my needs. I also ran a fairly popular forum, and had a guestbook with a few hundred comments. It was a fairly big and popular site for several years, and actually won a lot of awards.
  16. If you’re into fantasy, you should read Knight’s Wyrd. It’s my favorite fantasy book, and I’ve read a lot of them. You can get a copy of it on eBay for like $4 or $5 with free shipping most of the time.
  17. Originality is unfortunately a thing of the past. No one has the balls to make anything unique. The last time I saw any kind of truly unique games was somewhere between SNES and N64. NES however was the heyday of unique games. Marble Madness, A Boy And His Blob, Castlevania, Mega Man, Battletoads, Street Fighter 2010, and so on. Now everything is a damn carbon copy of something. Developers see success with a title that debuted 2 systems ago, and they keep puking up sequels to it. It’s one of the reasons why I’m a classic gamer. There’s nothing new anymore. It’s just a slightly altered package with a word or two changed.
  18. No official release date has been announced, but it looked promising. Most likely a DDL only. But @Shagger is right. It’s one of only 3 games to get an AO rating. The other two were Manhunt 2, and Thrill Kill. But Thrill Kill was never officially released. There are bootlegs of it all over, but it was scrapped just before launch.
  19. I’ve been seeing articles and reports saying that Hatred is going to be released on Switch some time this year. Has anyone else seen this? At the moment the only place to get the game is on Steam. I have it there, but if I could get it portable, I would love it. I’m hoping these reports aren’t bunk, but I’m not sure whether I should put any hope in this.
  20. I stick mainly to NBC. Their news is always credible and relevant.
