I ordered a bundle on the RDR2 website, and it came today. The bundle included RDR2 Ultimate Edition, a steel book, dynamite shaped candle, T-shirt, and the main reason I wanted it was an RDR2 Zippo. I already have the Ultimate Edition and steel book, so this is an extra. The T-shirt I got a small, because they didn't have any shirt designs in my size. So I got the design I liked the best in a small so I can tack it up on my wall. I'm happy it finally came. I ordered it somewhere around a week ago I think, so the shipping is lightning fast, all things considered. here's a couple pics.

Covers are incredibly boring. It turns me off on a lot of games. My typical logic thinking is that if they put so little effort in making an attractive cover, then what is to make me think the game will be any better? Or even good for that matter. Back in the early days, game covers were all artistic as hell. beautiful drawings. I mean look at these:

    Beautiful, right?
    Now look at this.

Cover art has seriously gone down in quality.

I learned which plants are safe to eat as a kid, which includes mushrooms and berries. We have several kinds of safe, and absolutely delicious mushrooms here. We also have some mushrooms that will kill you in an hour. The hard part about all that is that there is an edible mushroom that has a lethal doppleganger. That one I always stayed away from, because I was never certain of whether I was getting the right one or not. I just couldn't tell them apart, so instead of chancing it I just decided to stick with the ones I knew and liked. The berries were a lot easier to keep straight.

You're absolutely right. I have no interest in playing a character that is confined to a wheelchair. Games need to be an escape. Can anyone imagine if you had to play as a character in TLOU who was in a wheelchair? Or how about Skyrim? I'm willing to bet that both of those games would have flopped instantly.
I'm a Family Guy fan. I love the show. But I still don't want to play as Joe Swanson. If he's the only character available to me, then I'll flat out pass. Even those of you who are able-bodied would probably find it at the very best, boring as hell to play someone who wasn't able-bodied. I get enough time in a wheelchair IRL. I don't need it when I let my world vanish when I'm playing a game.
Another thing, is that unless the ones that create the game in every last aspect, they could never get any part of it right. They won't be able to script a character that is miserable because they can't walk. They won't be able to show the right kind of anguish on the characters face, or the despair that makes so many commit suicide. I know. I've tried. They don't know what it's like to feel like a complete burden simply because of the chair.
And to put all that into a game, simply to have a character in a wheelchair, is not only pointless, but insulting as well.

If it leads to knowledge, I would take the new venture. If I was already in a field that dealt with something I loved (like astronomy) then I would stay where I already was.

I know I mention the pursuit knowledge all the time on these forums. I do that simply to illustrate how important knowledge is, not only to me, but should be to everyone. I'm a slow learner, but that doesn't mean I should stop trying to educate myself in as many areas as possible.

I turn autosave off on all the games I play that have it, because the fucking thing always interrupts me to let me know that it has saved my god damn game, at the worst time and causes me to get killed or miss out on something extremely important. I hate it just as much as I hate autocorrect, the dirty mother ducking piece of ship.

That's not what I was getting at, at all. The part of a snake that holds the venom is a direct pocket (shown in the pic below) that is connected to the fangs. It's how they deliver the venom. It's not in any part of the meat. Snakes also can't die from their own venom. Their bodies naturally produce a unique antivenom that keeps from their own hurting them. Another snake of the same species, can kill them with its venom. But if a copperhead bites itself and injects venom into itself the venom will have no effect. While drinking venom is virtually harmless in tiny doses, as stomach acid completely neutralizes it, no sane person would attempt it.
Poison can be effective by more ways than ingestion. Poison is a toxin that gets into the body via swallowing, inhaling or absorption through the skin. Venom is a specialized type of poison that has evolved for a specific purpose. It is actively injected via a bite or sting. It's why a lot of people can be killed by one sting from a honeybee. It's not the piercing of skin that hurts, as their stinger is to small to even feel. It's the venom they inject that hurts.

But either way, poison or venom, if you don't know what you're doing, I recommend a lot of learning (years upon years worth) before you ever try any of this. Ignorance is one of the deadliest things in the world.

I'm not sure if they even really count. Yeah they might be missing an arm or whatever but most of them have artificial limbs or implants that if anything make them stronger.

That's kinda sums up the problem with disabled characters in games.  For the sake of gameplay you want to feel empowered not restricted.  I'm all for diversity in games but, and I'm sure @The Blackangel will testify to this, it ain't fun being disabled in real life so it won't be fun in a game either.

Your grandmother comes back from the dead. The zombie wants to come in and bake you cookies but is going to eat your brain immediately afterward. You have 2 options. Let her bake you cookies and get to spend the extra time with her then she eats your brain. Or chop her head off instantly and rebury her. What do you do?

I would let her come in, bake me some cookies and then eat my brain. She would go away hungry, but it would be worth it to spend an extra hour or two with my grandma.

I'm not joking. I wish I was. But that's the good thing about NES games. The difficulty and uniqueness of the games can make them a multiple decades long challenge. I may be dead for 100 years and reincarnated as a squirrel before I beat the dirty bastard. But I will at some point.

Games like Hatred keep me from going off the deep end. There are other games where intoxicants are a core feature, and you see what happens when someone uses such item. But it doesn't go in depth like this game does. I think it's a good idea if they can figure out the right way to implement it so that it reaches a broader audience of kids. The after school just say no campaigns failed miserably. It's documented that it actually drove more kids to try drugs as opposed to dissuade them from it. Maybe this will have it's intended effect since it's delivered in video game form.

The Blackangel got a reaction from Heatman in PS4 Exclusives or Xbox One Freedom? Help me choose!
I'll base my opinion off of my experience playing RDR2, since I've played it on both Xbox One and PS4. The game is better on PS4. It runs smoother, the graphics are cleaner and more crisp, the frame rate is faster, the controls are more natural in feel, partially due to button location and and partially due to how it sits in your hand. So based on that alone, I would recommend a PS4.
