Casino Royale (2006) is currently sitting as my #1 film of all time on Letterboxd. It just has such a great balance of action, drama, romance, and even comedy. I also love how it literally gave us a shallow character the best character development since On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Casino Royale really changed the franchise in a big way, and Martin Campbell saved the franchise twice - the first time being Goldeneye.
By the way, they did a James Bond vs. John Wick Death Battle recently:
Unsurprised who won in this one tbh. Okay, I was a little surprised, but still, it made sense. lol

Inflation has affected everything - let's put it this way. The world is very interconnected now so if something is affecting one major country, the effects will be felt in various other countries around the world.

Love 'em both. Biggie has (had) [RIP] a voice and style you could recognize anywhere.
And Em has a very special way of making lyrics rhyme not only at the end of each verse, but sometimes even in the middle. A very talented "poet" if you look at it that way.
I grew up 2 miles away from him. 😎

Does anyone see a point in Xbox Live anymore? I mean it still offers free games each month, but I don't feel it's needed anymore when Gamepass gets you Xbox live. The only point to get Xbox live now is just the free to play games and maybe playing some games online. But like with gamepass, you can do all that through that.
I know i've said it before, but at this point, they should just drop xbox live and focus on gamepass going forward. Make gaming online free for all. Because I know Gamepass is more than enough for Xbox right now.

It doesn't bother me so much, I guess if I were stuck at a really long light... Then it would get to me, only because getting stuck at a light is bad enough.
Motorcycle guys love to blast music.. again, doesn't bother me but if they rev up engine and scare me for no reason, that'll do it.

Heatman reacted to Kane99 in Red Dead Redemption 2 should add an invader option on single player
Oh for sure, RDR2 online is pretty much dead, or not nearly as popular as it once was. I think it'd be great, would change a lot for gamers. Plus it could be a fun way to do roleplays where people are after you and you don't know who they are.
Tis true, that's Rockstar for you. To be fair though, I think they needed to add different game modes to RDR2 online to keep it alive. Much like they did with the original RDR online back in the day. Give us some fun competitive modes to play. I'm not seeing a whole lot of fun with the current state of RDR2 online.
The thing with GTA is that there's so much more you can do. IN RDR2 you limited with the horses you can use and not much else. I suggested in another topic that they add more options to RDR2 online, like even vehicles. Who cares about realism at this point. If we want RDR2 online to be worth any time, they just need to get creative with it. But Rockstar has left the building and won't be adding to it sadly. 😞 At least nothing major.
Only for online mode though correct? GTA V had something similar where you could call someone to steal cash from other players and also a bounty system. For me, I would prefer it being in single player and it be a random NPC the player takes over. They have to try and kill Arthur or John by blending in to the world. Maybe they could give the invader an option to see the location where the player is, but not an exact point, maybe just the city or surrounding area. I think that would be cool.
Or the invader could join in and have fun with the player, maybe help them out even. Like a co-op mode. Oh shit, maybe a co-op mode in single player after the end of the game. That'd be kinda cool.
And yeah, even though RDR2 made a ton of profit. I think they knew that RDR2 online wasn't going to come close to GTA V online. Which is fair. But they could add some fun modes to online to spice things up. It doesn't have to be realistic either.
I was always hoping they would add like a fight club mode or something. Hell, Undead Nightmare online would have helped a lot too. 😞
They could if they made the online different from the single player. At this point, I'd be okay if they just went wacky with the online mode. Just give us dumb guns that do dumb things. Allow us to do weird and fun missions with the team. Heists even. Weren't there supposed to be heists in RDR online at some point? Kinda like what GTA V had?
Anyway, RDR just doesn't work in an online setting I guess.

Heatman reacted to Shagger in Playstation is being sued
An update of this Story. The man spearheading this lawsuit hosted an AMA on Reddit, and it went about was well as you would expect.

People were poking the obvious holes in the suit and even questioning the very motives behind it, some going as far to call this a scam. And as discussed earlier in the thread, there are some questions than need answering. Why are they singling out Sony and the 30% commission they charge when it's pretty much the standard thought the industry? Why even use that as evidence of Sony ripping off the customer when that's charged to the publishers/developers who sell the games? Where is the money you win from the lawsuit actually going to go?

Some people even asked how they could opted out a claimant as anyone who bought something on the PlayStation Store from 19th August 2016 onwards is automatically included as a claimant in this suit. Alex's answers were also often vague, evasive and sometimes avoided the questions completely. Remember, these are the people will get a pay-out that cloud be as high as £562 (around $650) if he wins, and it's these same people tearing him a new one. That's how ill conceived and dumb this lawsuit is.

Yeah, he has very creepy and sinister mannerisms. I liked his design it looks very regal. His hair may have been weird but it also looks stylish imo. My only problem is his poorly written motive where people dying causes suffering so his solution is to just kill everyone so no one dies anymore. But on every other front he is a great antagonist. Come to think of it he's kind of like a proto-ardyn when it comes to his role in the plot.

Heatman reacted to Withywarlock in Games or game sections where you can avoid killing anything?
The Age of Decadence is a really interesting choice for this category. It's true you can beat the entire game without killing people... but it requires a lot of save-scumming because you can easily reach the point of no return. The game is often criticised for being short, but it has to be in order for you to reload a save where you can spend your skill points optimally in order to beat the game. Unlike the frequent criticisms levelled at Dishonored about one being "punished" for using all the cool tools, this game really does punish you by halting all progress if you make the incorrect skill choice.
TAoD explicitly states that its combat heavily favours enemies. You can still win but a lot of it depends on luck, and there's few build guides out there that work consistently well.
An interesting dilemma. I've not played the game so I don't know its execution of the concept, but I imagine for Sniper Elite 5 to be able to excuse not killing the Nazis it would have to feature significantly greater reward for targeting the greater evil. For example, I like the idea of shooting an officer and seeing the French Resistance hungrily surrounding their surrendering oppressors. But then, can you satisfy both me and the players who want to shoot the officer and the soldiers under their command? It'd be a tough balance to achieve, and I don't think Sniper Elite has a great enough audience to demand such elaborate ideas.
I forgot to comment to your first post here about Dishonored. Let's just say that a non-lethal route, while it reduces chaos, can still have haunting results. I recommend it.

Depends on what you are feeeling, CSGO is the game to get all my angry and stress out by killing evertthing that goes to poop. The Grand Theft Auto and God of War series let me vent my frustrations with the world in a healthy manner that didn't harm anyone else. If I couldn't act like an insane person in these games, who knows what my anger could have led to in real life.

The Age of Decadence is one game that I can recall very easily that you can play without having or being forced to kill before making progress it. Although, it's quite tough in a way because not killing makes it a lot harder.

Both companies have been taking gamers for fools for years and it's surprisingly frustrating that they keep getting away with it. It's sad there's no other competitions out there otherwise this would go by so easily.

Heatman reacted to Crazycrab in If you game at night, do you use blue light filters?
Well since I am a Vampire, I use Blue Light to illuminate the room because natural light burns my skin.  I have other choices of course like red, green and everything in between but I just think blue is cool, calm and emphasises my lack of hue.  In blue I can easily hide because in that light everyone looks like a corpse!

Between them and EA, they make the same sports games every year with a graphical update at best while re-adding features from former games and labelling them "revolutionary" while not addressing the real issues or neglecting other features of the game and prioritising things like Fifa Ultimate Team.

Because they don't make money for doing so. We're past the days of passion projects, and making great games for the sake of a great game (with the exception of indie titles).
All decisions require money. So if there isn't going to be a return on that investment, rockstar has no incentive to change anything. It sucks, ill admit, but the sooner you understand this you'll see these games for what they really are.

There's always something sinister about the character of Seymour Guado. Everything he does with his powers are linked to one evil or another nasty end. He's got a very weird hair design for my liking though.
