    Xbox Museum

Setting aside what is a complete lack of patience that you can't wait a few seconds for a webpage to load, I don't understand why you bothered to comment on this before you even checked out what it was. Why wouldn't you hold off on replying until you had the time to check it out more thoroughly? That's what I did. I wanted to check it out, but couldn't immediately remember my Microsoft password to acces the "My Museum" section, so I decided put it off until I could remember it. This from you, however, is about as pointless a reply to thread that I have ever seen. It's not like I expect you to kiss an OP's ass (in this case that being @Techno), but I think people who post on VGR deserve more from people who reply to thier threads than for people to say; How many am I going to have to tell you that if you have nothing to say, then say nothing until you do have something to say. Or perhaps this is deliberate, going back into post farming habit again? I don't know what your problem is, but between thought and action there is a realm of common sense begging for your acquaintance. Sorry about this @Techno, I'll come back to this thread with more on this when I've have more of a chance to check it out.
  2. Welcome to VGR. It looks like we're from a fairly similar place in terms of our history with gaming, so looking forward to getting to know you better.
  3. Trick or treat, but I'm afraid not much has changed...
  4. No, I hate football. I just found the first gif in the list that had something to do with a trophy.
  5. Have Activision gone beyond stupid or something? What makes them think that the backlash that forced to peddle back on this policy for Overwatch 2 won't happen for MW2? They obviously think that for some reason the COD fanbase will be OK with this when the Overwatch fanbase were not and that's idiotic.
  6. Honestly, gamers need to stop boiling thier sense of appreciation for a game down to numbers. Obviously it's fair to expect a certain amount of content for them money, but what matters is the quality of that content, not how long it lasts. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is one of the very best games I've ever played, a masterpiece with lifelong impact and it clocks in at 6-8 hours max and the game has little to no replay value. That's still better than a similar type of game that's twice as long that's full of bullshit padding.
  7. Still going strong with my NG+ playthrough of Horizon Forbidden West and earned the Platinum Trophy a couple of days ago.
  8. I'd say the Horizon ZD/FW world. It's beautiful, fascinating and I could have pet watcher that I'll name Porkchop. C'mon, look at this and tell me you don't want one.
  9. To me, all video games (Or at least all good video games) have to have what I call the "empowerment factor". They have to make you feel like more than what you are. I hate simulator games because there's really only two kinds: The actual simulator focused of being as close to the reality of the experience being simulated as possible. I exempt sports games from this because that's the player role playing in an empowering fantasy (So they have the "empowerment factor".), but the other serve to let you try out something that's mundane and actually quite boring. Even when it's something that sounds cool on paper like flying a plane these games tend to expose how boring these things actually are to do as a job in the real world, so actually ruining the fantasy itself and I cant see the the point. You can have games like Ace Combat because, again, that's putting you in the roleplay of something empowering and cool and deliberately don't simulate being a fighter pilot 100% accurately o make it more fun. Microsoft Flight Simulator, that's a different story. Don't get me wrong, it's a very impressive game in it's own way with the derails, how accurately it emulates how planes really fly not to mention it's graphics, but there's no style or excitement for me. The "mock" simulator. I get it, they're a joke, and can be fun to play, but for me once the joke has warn off (After and hour at the absolute most) they have little to no substance. At least Untitled Goose Game set's you goals be as annoying a little ass-hole as possible, that actually is empowering by letting you be the prick that, and let's be honest, we'd all kind of like to be if we could get away with it, but I can't be a Goat falling of cliffs and bashing into things with god awful physics for hour after hour. Stupidity isn't funny, it just isn't. Now, I know a lot of people like these kinds of games and if that's you, then good for you, but I just don't get them at all. Maybe I'm crazy, but I would rather be a badass in some amazing fantasy world than be farmer, mowing the lawn or cleaning stuff.
  10. Hunting, or more specially butchering animals for resources. And no, I'm not talking about the gory, repetitive and time consuming reality that's involved with such a task (although those could be considered another reasons to not be be focused on being realistic in this case), it's more bout how it works as loot. In horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden west, for example, animal parts have levels of rarity and you're no guaranteed to loot these part every tine even though every animal obviously has the bone or that pelt or the shell or wherever. Most games of this types that I know of work in a similar way.
  11. I wouldn't waste your time looking. At best, these so called "Play-to-Earn" games demand hours and hours of grind into a less than stellar gameplay experience to earn a pittance. Most of the time that pittance is paid in the from of a blockchain currency or NFT run by whoever published the game itself, so it's basically a front for a con. Trust me, it's a waste of time and will wear down your sanity.
  12. I knew it, you're here to peddle that game, aren't you? Don't deny it, you made two posts here and with no introduction just "casually" mentioned the same game twice. As per our Forum rules and Guidelines, posts only meant to promote a product or service are not allowed on VGR without permission. Because of this, I'm removing the link from your post and all refences to any specific game you've mentioned from your posts. Try this again, and it will be a ban.
  13. Hello and welcome Kyng. Nice to have someone else into gaming and F1.
  14. Locking as we already have a thread.
  15. I've merged your thread with this existing one as they are about the same thing.
  16. Thread locked as there are other discussions about Minecraft on these boards, such as this one.
  17. I couldn't agree less. I actually believe people with less experience of the PlayStation band and the technology and features indigenous to it are more likely to need help than those who have been playing on the brand for a long time. There should be NO priority given to anyone when it customer service, every who needs it needs it and the same service should be made available to all regardless of how many purchases they've made or how actively they play. I actually find the very idea of what Sony is planning deplorable. This isn't frequent flyer miles or a loyalty stamp from a coffee house, that's fair. This is like at that same coffee house being told you wave to wait if there's a problem with your order or a mistake on your bill because a more regular customer wants help first. I'm actually inclined to call this disgusting and I cannot understand why anyone would think that this is OK.
  18. I've got to give Google credit for offering those refunds. I can say with absolute certainty that other companies would not have done the same.
  19. @runswithspatulas On PC, a game with Denovo DRM increases the recourse requirements of a game through hogging the RAM on your system, reducing the frame rate buy a significant amount. A game that would run at around 60 fps, could run at an unstable 40 fps because of how Denovo install's in the background on your system and runs on your hardware. I've played games on Gamepass and Ubisoft+ on PC, and the check ones connection to the premium service every time you decide to play a game, but once you pass that check, the game runs fine. Denovo is different because hat DRM hurts innocent gamers.
  20. @Candy Stick You confuse me. You state all the correct pessimism, but follow all the wrong optimism. I really don't know how to read you anymore.
  21. I've submitted my vote. The only reason I didn't nominate this individual is because they were nominated already. Best of luck to all of you.
  22. I've seen a video from ReviewtechUSA that makes one think about this from another aspect, how this affects developers. I agree with what Rich says in this video that developers upset about Stadia shutting down should have seen this coming and prepared for it, but it's worth thinking about not only Stadia shutting down, but cloud gaming in general from thier perspective. So, it's an interesting video.
  23. I didn't just ask that for my sake, I'm not the only one who really hates that. Still, I appreciate that, so thank you. I want you to understand something though. It's not just the term and what it means in history that bothers me. As a PC gamer, I find the idea that we are somehow better than other gamers just because of a platform presence abhorrent and fundamentally wrong, and there's a reason. I was once part of a forum and gaming community that was about gamers grouping up and organizing with each other to play games together, but at first they absolutely refused to support those of people played on console and excluded them. Whenever we tried to organise our own game nights on console, they shut us down. Even on cross platform games they set the rules up in such a way that we could not join in. So you see, I'm not just being some "snowflake", "PC Master Race" is an attack of the very principles I hold as a gamer. None of the arrogance and elitism that some PC gamers feel is justified and just like how me and a few others refused to let to let it be acceptable back then, I refuse to let it be acceptable now. Anyway, rant over. Once again, thank you for being cool about this.
