Empire Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Simple easy, pick your answer that you strongly swing introvert or extrovert, this might be pretty easy for you.
Rain Dew Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Lose the ability to speak. I love reading.
Justin11 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Both are instrumental, I wouldn't lose my voice more reading. But if I'm to choose one, I'll simply stay with reading due to my excessive engagement online.
Head_Hunter Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 None, I enjoy my life completely without losing any attribute to my well-being in life.
ZandraJoi Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Lose the ability to speak. Being an introvert, I need to see the written words in order for it to process in my head. I couldn't imagine not being able to read & hence not being able to write out what I was feeling.
killamch89 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Without reading, I wouldn't be able to accomplish anything - I'd much rather losing my speaking ability as there are other ways to communicate.
Altair Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 It would be very hard in life to not be able to read. It would make things very difficult. However, I have tried to be deaf for a day due to being it a required class assignment in a sign language class I took and it was a bit challenging It would be less of a challenge as time went on. ASL (American sign language ) is beautiful and there is such a warm and community feeling with deaf people. So yeah I much rather lose the ability to speak. Crazycrab 1
Head_Hunter Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 (edited) If I don't speak IRL, at least I can write virtually like I'm doing. But I prefer both, I don't want to lose my abilities in life. Edited February 24, 2022 by Head_Hunter
Jayson Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 I've already lost the ability to speak, lol. You know since so many in the US don't have any real freedom of speech. Anyway, on a serious side, reading is pretty vital, so I'd say speaking is less serious. However, both things are massively bad.
egghead Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I don't need voice to communicate, therefore, I don't want to lose the ability to read. If I can't read I will live in darkness.
Justin11 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Reading is needed to prevail online, you might lose the art of speaking, and still communicate like any other online. But such isn't feasible when you can't read, that's abysmal.
Head_Hunter Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 I can count how many times I talked this evening, just me and my phone, I talk to myself gradually. I stay online and i read alot, if I don't know to read i can't be here. Reading is too essential for any online user, but I don't want to lose any.

Losing ability to read in the sense of losing my sight? If so, I would rather not be able to speak. Blindness is hell on earth.

Yeah, I know that very well. Preference will definitely differ but as for me, I can always express myself without having to talk but not seeing what the world looks like and all it comes with, I can't fathom it.
