StaceyPowers Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 How do you feel about the default audio balancing in most games you have played? Either I have really outdated speakers, am really bad at hearing dialogue, or I think default balancing is really bad. I am not sure which is the case. DC 1
Justin11 Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I love it when I can manually adjust audios via any video game I find interesting. I don't like the situation where the audio is set at default it hampers the dialogues in-game.
killamch89 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 In most games, it's perfectly fine for me by default so it may be your speakers that need some upgrading or your home theater system. DC 1
Heatman Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 It's only a few of my games that I had do adjust their audio balance because it wasn't giving me clearer sound. Apart from that, most of my game's audio are good at its default balance.
Clasher Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 The default sound sits well with my sound bar and I pretty much grasps every single sound and dialogue made when I am on active game play.

And most video games comes with default soundtrack playlist. I never gotten the chance to change audios/soundtracks the way I wanted.
Grungie Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 Some can be annoying, especially if you can’t customize the audio levels, but the ones that are obnoxious to me are kind of a rarity.
Kane99 Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 I game on PC and oftentimes like to watch youtube, movies, or listen to music. Plus I'm in a voice chat often with friends, so I have to turn the audio down in game to hear everything else. It always seems like the game audio is way overpowering. Especially the music. I don't know why that is. But I always have to turn the volume down.

It's just like how the voice lines in SegaSonic the Hedgehog completely ruined the game everytime that I played the game. It's got a horrible lousy sound.

Empire Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I prefer manually fine tuning outstanding game audio (increasing dialogue gain and reducing sudden sounds). It gives me greater control and pinpoint accuracy. Of course, it requires more effort and time. After i make cuts, i use a crossfade over the audio cuts to make the volume rise and fall smoother. I own a GoXLR soooooo

Scorpion Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I often struggle with default audio balancing in games. Dialogue is usually too quiet compared to sound effects; it can be frustrating.
