I created this thread because another thread here was turning out into a glorified  chit chat thread. Still the conversation deserves a change to keep going but not there as it's going way off topic and that thread has run it's course.
So i'll be moving said conversation here for it to continue as it's an interesting topic i'd like to participate in aswell, always nice to remanence about the good old days.
So @Kane99, @Heatman @Clasher and @Justin11 feel free to continue said conversation here

Agreed. I think it's perfectly justifiable if there is a history of infidelity and/or the new born child does not feature physical traits that resemble the father.

If there was a history of infidelity, then it's not insulting at all. If there is no history of infidelity, then it's not only insulting, but demeaning as well.

Being on disability, every day is the same for me. I don't have a start or end to my week.

I am self-centered, in the sense of literally being focused on myself and my life experiences most of the time. If someone tells me a story, the first thing I do is think if I have any relevant experience through which I can understand it. 
This isn't the same as being selfish though. I just am the literal center of my own universe. It doesn't mean I think I'm the center of anyone else's.

What are the worst business decisions you've ever seen?

Blockbuster passing on Netflix has to be up there.

I know Razer has their own phone model, and may have even made a new one. I heard from someone who owned one and I guess they are really good for gaming. Could even be good for streaming of games like on Xbox and nvidia. 
But, these days a lot of the newer phones, from Apple and Samsung for example, are becoming better for gaming. 

Like I was saying: There's relatively lax regulation (if any in some areas) on E-Sports, which is why there's been international criminal investigations into communities like counter strike, and the list of corruption goes on...

It's quite frankly outrageous. Perhaps you can share with me how to share a simple link (are we allowed to do that on here?) Karl Jobst is a good youtube channel that exposes fraud and some of the cases are downright outrageous. The newest one on there involved a player that did a fraudulent speed run at the world's biggest speed running showcase event called Games Down Quick (or a summer version of it, or whatever). His fake speed run was given the green light after raising $25,000 dollars to do it as it was his second run and most players only do one. Not only that but his run was accepted, promoted, and even added to the list of world records on speedrun.com.
 
Very disgusting. Anyway: With the lax e-sports regulation, as I said before, there is likely a case by case situation with different e-sports "teams" where they might have backups in some cases. With big games that have 5 on 5's, so far as I understand; there is really just the 5 people. These people are young so nobody has really died prior to a tournament and if they did, then it would likely be a DQ or event would be pushed back.

@Withywarlock and @Yaramaki are established and longtime contributors of VGR. They both have been on our watchlist for some time and were vetted extensively by @Shagger.  Four moderators is appropriate given VGR's member count and post total and the overall exponential growth the community has seen over the past 4-6 months. Each of the four moderators are well qualified and deserving of their respective role. Furthermore, having a robust and experienced moderation team allows me to direct more time and resources to continuing to attract new members and grow the community.

My second big announcement is that @Withywarlock has been promoted to become our fourth moderator! He joins @Yaramaki, who was recently promoted, along with @The Blackangel and @Shagger.
Withywarlock has long contributed thoughtful, detailed comments to VGR forum, keeping conversations going and spurring new ones with his insights. He also does a great job making us laugh with his witty observations.
It is a rare privilege to have a forum grow this much while still retaining its loyal core of members and such a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Each of our moderators has played a huge part in making that happen, and I know Withywarlock will do a phenomenal job in his new role. Congratulations, Withywarlock, and thank you!
Thank you to all of our members for being a part of the VGR family. I am so happy with what we have built here together.

Gaming in adult life helps me to return the state of mind of a child - with no problems, when everything seems easy. It helps to take all the difficulties easy, it really helps a lot! All in all, "adult life problems" are nothing but the "children" of adult state of mind. I use every option to be like kid - not in the sense of irresponsibility but in the sense of joy and soul/mental freedom. Gaming for me is necessary to achieve it.

Well well, more bad news for RDR2 online, as a new bug is causing the removal of NPCs and even animals. Some people have reported in the PC version, that NPCs are outright disappearing, stables are empty, the streets of Saint Denis are empty, even animals aren't spawning now. This only seems to be happening for the PC version though, no news on consoles yet, but if this continues, who's to say it won't cause issues with console versions too. 
Do you think Rockstar will address this and sort it out?

What interests me is the dominant stats: the vast majority of Steam users have Nvidia cards to say I've noticed a lot of the games I play have AMD features (including my monitor, but I have a Nvidia 1070). It's interesting that in terms of OS, Windows 11 hasn't made a dent in the stats unless that's considered 'other' (1.54% as of this time). Intel processors are again heavily in the lead, to say AMD have apparently greatly improved what with the Ryzen brand. I don't quite get Macs myself, so you'll forgive my ignorance when it comes to why most people on Apple hardware would be doing so on a MacPro other than the better hardware. It's of no surprise that Oculus is in the lead when it comes to being the most popular VR headset.
Most of the stats in the bottom box are unsurprising: 16GB RAM is the standard, 1920x1080 isn't going away any time soon, and 1TB+ HDDs are quite common (I don't know if that's including SSDs). One thing I did find interesting is that 8GB VRAM graphics cards are the majority. Despite all the developments, sales and shortages, it really does appear that most of them are going to other things besides playing on Steam. I know this will be GPU Mining, but the figures being that low are staggering.

That's so true - poor people spend money trying to impress other people while most things rich people spend their money on tend to be an investment in their eyes.
