as @kingpotato already explained i can't do a better job without spoiling too much, I've had a blast with A link between worlds it's also one of the more challenging zelda games from what i remember and the ice ruins is one of the best dungeons in the entire zelda series. Sure you may see the ability to morph into walls as a gimmick but it's used in a really clever way to solve puzzles, avoid enemies, etc, to me it never felt like a gimmick and you know what makes it even cooler is with the 3d effect on, if you can handle the 3ds, 3d effect i highly recommend using it.
I'm sure you will like it as it's pretty much a link to the past 2 it plays the same, has simulair graphics. Wheter or not you should play/get it is up to you, that's a choice you have to make as Some people just don't like playing on handhelds. Assuming you already have the game i don't see any reason what would be stopping you from not trying it out, if you don't have it i don't think it's going to break the bank because from what i remember it was practically everywhere during the 3ds existance.
I do have to say my favourite handheld zelda game is the Minish Cap on the Gba.

You Gotta love the comments being made from folks who complain they don't have much time to play videogames, yet are able to do 30+ posts a day on vgr.com 🤨
As for me usually during weekdays one or two hours sometimes more but that rarely happens as there is always something else that needs to be done, during winter i game a lot more then during the summer. Weekends are kind of a mixed bag, sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes an entire afternoon, depends on the weather wheter i can go out hiking or not.

Yaramaki got a reaction from Withywarlock in Best underwater section in a video game?
Couple i can think off :
Assasins creed black flag : pretty obvious and likely boring choice but wait let's massage my brain and see  if i can think of a couple more.
Maneater : Kind of an underrated game where your play as a shark in an openworld, offcourse it's mostly underwater but you can still attack and eat people on the coast lines, had a lot of fun with this one. By the end of the game you're an unstoppable force, exellent game that would probably my top pick for this thread if you're looking to play a game that is just a blast to play.
Another obvious answer would be ecco the dolphin. Bioshock games also have some interesting underwater sections from what i remember but it's been years since i played those games so my memory isen't all that great. Abzu would be an exellent choice aswell.
other recent games i can remember that include underwater sections that were good : rayman legends and offcourse how can i forgot super Mario Odyssey, Seaside Kingdom section.
I don't really know how far you want to go back into time but my favourite underwater section has to be Legend of zelda majora’s mask – great bay temple dungeon. Also from what i remember the underwater levels in the donkey kong country series were also top notch and how could i forgot super mario 64  Dire Dire Docks level.
Don't know if this is the answer you're looking for? I usually hate underwater levels especially the ones in the crash bandicoot series and the first sonic games so it's a hard subject for me to come up with something good.

I've been waiting for this game to come out physically which happened 2 weeks ao, when i saw the trailer it immidiatly peaked my curiousity. Seems like a game that deserves more attention so i'll do my part. I've yet to play it so can't really comment on it.
I'll just quote the game discription :

You hit the road. Adventure. Freedom. Escape. Run. Flee the Regime. Try to survive.
On this risky road trip to the border, you’ll meet incredible characters, and discover their intertwined stories and secrets in an ever-evolving adventure.
But every mile opens up a choice to make. Your decisions will change your adventure, change the people you meet, maybe even change the world.
There are thousands of roads across the authoritarian nation of Petria.
    Which one will you take?
    FEATURES
Road 96 is a crazy, beautiful road-trip. The discovery of exciting places, and unusual people on your own personal journey to freedom.
An ever-evolving story-driven adventure inspired by Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Bong Joon-ho. Made by the award-winning creators of Valiant Hearts and Memories Retold. Announced as part of the OMEN Presents initiative from HP Inc.
Moments of action, exploration, contemplative melancholy, human encounters and wacky situations. Set against a backdrop of authoritarian rule and oppression.

Yaramaki reacted to Shagger in Thoughts On Forza Horizon 5?
What I'm about to post is a case study in why people should look into information that people post on VGR before replying. Not only is it essential to adequately respond to a point given by somebody else, it can even be dangerous not to.

For starters @Clasher and @Heatman, that car is meant to look like a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, so it's not a Chevy nor a Mustang. It's literally written in the image to the left of the "Muscle Modern" logo.

Second, that image is lifted from a game is called Forza Street, and again it's right there in the image. The game was an officially licenced Forza spin off for mobile that launched back in 2019 and was shut down almost a month ago (April 11nth). So outside of unofficial emulation, that game doesn't technically exist anymore. If you had looked into this properly and payed attention to the what information was posted, this would have saved some confusion.

Now @Justin11, you made your post about "Forza Horizon highway 4" , and that is literally how the games title is written on it's official listing on the Google Play Store, without the "H" in Highway capitalised, earlier in the thread about a week after the actual, official Forza game on mobile was shut down. Here it is on Google Play.

So here it is, with 50,000+ downloads, no user reviews and no ratings. Add that to the weird description that claims to allow users to play 3 main, full Forza games in one place (Those game names were clearly there to generate more search hits), the aforementioned bad formatting on the title (And in the description), the fact that the all four images of the "game" are the same image of an old Suberu Impreza that I don't think is even from a video game, and this is very dodgy. I also checked out the contact email address listed on this very store page it it didn't yield any results. That is really unusual as one would expect such a search to come back with a webpage or social media profile representing the developer/publisher of the game. But no, this was what looks like a randomly generated g-mail account that doesn't seem attached to anything. This is clearly not legitimate, so anyone who had downloaded this game, I'd recommend removing it immediately.

Now @Clasher, I can understand how you manged to get a screenshot from an entirely different game, especially if you searched for the "Official Forza Mobile Game" or something to that effect, but you replied to this conversion clearly without looking into the subject matter properly. I suggest you apply due diligence in future. They are several reasons to get the facts right when you look into things for a forum thread, avoiding potentially harmful software is just one of the bigger ones.

Now @Justin11, since I don't trust this so-called "game" and thus am unwilling to download it onto my own phone, I want to tell me what it is and why you have brought it up here on VGR. Send me what you know in a PM. Include screenshots of the actual game if you have them, but DO NOT open it again for my sake. Delete it. It could be malware, ransomware or a phishing scam. It is possible you mistook this for an official Forza mobile game, and if so, I again would recommend you delete it from your devices immediately and would recommend greater vigilance in future for yourself as well.

This kind of false advertising and fake products are a common thing in the mobile market. I urge people to use thier good sense and not trust anything that looks out of place. I also urge everyone to look into what people are posting about in detail. They may not be deliberately trying to bring you on board to a scam, but it is possible they were fooled themselves. Do not put up links or promote software unless it's from a source you trust. As mods', it's our responsibility to make sure that people on VGR remain safe. If that means we don't trust software that you do, then that's our prerogative. If you have doubts, bring the names of games or links you want to post to us first and well assist in any way we can to verify them.

I hope you have all learned something from this.

To stick to the topic : Collecting videogames takes up a bunch of my time browsing various website and what have you on daily basis, altough it's starting to slow down a bit ever since i started posting here. Other than that it's just meanly playing games and hiking.
I do watch soccer from time to time but i'm more interested in watching highlights of games then actual matches. I also follow formula one but those are just the races.

Yaramaki got a reaction from kingpotato in Top 5 favourite JRPGs?
Enchanted arms was also released on Ps3 just a year later after the 360 version. Also Yakuza like a dragon is turn based instead of the usual beat em up style so i think you could classify that one as jrpg.
It's quite an interesting list with games you don't see mentioned that often, Eternal Sonata great game nobody seems to have played, well atleast that makes two of us now.
Just noticed i haven't listed my top 5 jrpg so here we go, kinda hard to nail it down to just 5 or maybe i need to do 5 old games and 5 new games but would that be cheating so a mixture of both then? I'll just stick to turn based games
Phantasy Star IV -> Hands down my favourite jrpg of all time and as far as i remember the first jrpg i've ever beaten. It still looks good and is as fun as ever, like a hipster would say it has aged like fine wine. It's been ported to pretty every system inc modern ones so maybe you should give it a go. yes i'm Looking at you @kingpotato
Skies of Arcadia -> Sadly mostly forgotten over time, this would be my top pick for a game that deserves a remaster/remake. Wheter you play it on dreamcast or gamecube you'll likely going to have a blast anyway. A timeless classic.
Yakuza Like A Dragon -> Yeah i'm going to include it aswell, it's amazing how they changed the yakuza style and made it even better then it already was. They also replaced my favourite video game character of all time Kazuma Kiryu effortlessly. The new main protagonist Ichiban Kasuga is just a likeable and the support characters are deserving of their own game with their own back story yes they are that good.
Final Fantasy 8 -> Kinda boring i know, i'll take it over 7 because it's the first final fantasy i played.
Persona 4 Golden -> The main reason to keep a ps vita around, i'll just list persona 4 because i sadly haven't gotten around playing persona 5 yet, i have the game though, just don't know if i have the time to play trough it because i know once i start playing i'll hooked for the next few weeks.

The earlier mention of Yakuza is interesting to me because while it is a Japanese-made roleplaying game that's set in Japan, I never would've considered it a 'JRPG' as a genre. But then that's just one facet of the horrors of RPG discussion: what they are, and what they aren't, and then proceeding to call people gatekeepers. Much as I like Yakuza, I'm gonna be Today's Designated Gatekeeper™ and say it's not a JRPG in the sense of its style. That also means I won't be including another Japanese game that I very much like, Valkyria Chronicles.
Enchanted Arms. By From Software, strangely enough. Xbox 360 exclusive, its combat was quite tactical and revolved around positioning on a grid. I don't remember much more than that. Eternal Sonata. I don't remember much about this other than its art style was gorgeous and the music was great (which it had to be given this is about a dying Chopin's final dreams). The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Not got far through this one but I really enjoy it. Likeable characters, understandable mechanics and some great combat mechanics. The Adventures of Monkey Hero. I don't expect anyone to know this one, and it's only really on the list because it's styled after Secret of Mana (Legend of Zelda is also frequently mentioned, much to the chargrin of Zelda fans who don't consider the games to be RPGs). It got ragged on by critics everywhere but it's a fine enough game, and it has some catchy tunes throughout. Final Fantasy X-2. I'm currently making my way through FFX and it's honestly not that bad (though its story is hard to follow at times; nowt new there then), but X-2 was a game I adored to no end during middle school. I look forward to finishing X just so I can understand the plot of its sequel better. That's a list that's never been seen before! 😅

Yaramaki got a reaction from Withywarlock in Do we need somewhere for people to "chat" instead of the amount of PM style posts going on in the forum?
My 2 cents for what it's worth :
-> Get atleast one more Moderator or maybe 2, i think the forum is just way too busy for 2 people who have have a full time job and family stuff going on, you can correct me on that if i'm wrong. Either just give them access to the gaming part of the forum which is the busiest part instead of the whole board.
-> I'm not really a fan of discord, so i'll just leave it at that. I find it weird to use and don't really get why it's so populair, but then again i'm old and ways off with modern technology.
->While we are on the subject the forum already has more then enough section so adding another section to just chat if you really want to do that go ahead but isen't that what the general chat section is about.
-> I'd say the whole board could use a little overhaul, the subsection videogames and platforms could be moved together because in theory they are just the same thing. For the rest of the board i'll admit i don't ever really use it since i come here to talk about games with like minded people. The mainstream topics like what's going on the world i already discuss enough in daily life.
->Maybe on a last note a conversation is bound to go off topic at some point, it's only natural but some people keep going on and on about the same thing that's what irritates me the most. It's not that i don't care what you have to say but atleast add something usefull, for example yeah i know the ps5 is out of stock everywhere but must we go on and on about it. Do some effort to secure one instead of complainging online all the time.
-> i really like this place and i'll be happy to keep on posting for aslong the site is around, sometimes a single post takes me half an hour or more (like this one) when nobody bothers replying i feel like i really wasted my time.

About losing on FIFA, it's why I never go for a revenge the same day I lost. Why is that? It's cos I would be under a lot of pressure and as such, I wouldn't be calm in play to get the better of my opponent.

I know you like card games so maybe you have heard of it, it's on ps4/xbox one/pc and probably switch aswell. Ign gave it a 9/10 so it must be good, i've been eying it for a while now so i'll probably pick up a copy next time i see it on sale somewhere.

Thanks Heatman for the questions :
    1) The avatar you mean, there is no real reason behind it as it's just something i found online a couple of years ago  and i stuck with it ever since.
    2) Losing 7-1 to my girlfriend her 10 year old son in fifa 21 kinda hurted my pride, especially when i was out for revenge afterwards and again i lost again with another couple of heavy defeats but all in all we had fun.
    3) One thing i've learned over the years is that there is always somebody better then me in pretty much everithing and to be honest I've never been one to cheat  but as far as it counts,  One time i got so pissed that i was losing in halo split screen as they all ganged up on me that i just pulled the power cord from the console and that was the end of it in turn i kicked all my buddies out.

Pretty much any gaming experience can be educational but you just don't know or realise it, have you ever wondered about the following :
-> Is playing racing games on a regulair basis making you a better driver in real life?
-> Is playing a puzzle game going to help you finding more logical solutions to a problem?
-> Is playing a management game going to help somebody should they you ever start a business or have one?
-> Is playing a game full of moral choices going to help you make tough choices in real life more easier?
-> Is a building game ala minecraft benefitual for somebody's creativity?

Obvious answer would be assasins creed since everithing historic is neatly explained in a database well in the first few games. Not really sure how many people bothered with this but in the first few games i learned quite a bit about the italian renaissance ( that i forgot mostly in the maintime )
Gran turismo always did a great job in telling car history, as far as game it's also a car encyclopedia.
Maybe a more obscure one but both Endless ocean games on the wii, while gameplay wise there isen't a whole lot to it, you can explore the depts of the sea at your own pace as it simulates fish and other sea life accuratly, once you discover a new life form you can learn more about the fish you just discovered, i'm not sure how many people even played this but from what i remember it's quite a relaxing experience.
But anyways you could pretty much list any game here that has deep choices to make and will make you think twice before you take action. Maybe not as educational as one thinks but imo some moral choices learn from them and take with you in real life.

2)Damn that's a tough question, i've been breaking my head about this the entire day.
As for worlds i want to live in either in :
-> The pokemon universe would be my top pick, even as a background character i would be able train pokemon, not only that but world seems so peacefull, no war or nothing.
-> Initial D -> Nobody seems to give a fuck about anything other then cars, drifting and whatnot. Yeah i can see myself living in this world, i'd probably be the dude driving around a subura impreza wrx like an old man.
Worlds i don't want to live in :
-> You could name pretty much any anime because there is always something off about the world as a whole. think I'll go with attack on titan as background character you're bound to die anyway.
    3) Favourite video game, man i'm i only able to choose one :
From a nostalgic point of view probably Fantasy star 4 or super street fighter 2, i'll leave the choice in your hands green ranger pick what you like.

Yaramaki got a reaction from Head_Hunter in How much longer will Xbox 360 be supported
I'll disagree on that, I still play my 360 and ps3 all the time and i'm not the only one who does that, so that doesen't mean microsoft or sony should dich the little support of their old consoles as there is still a community that plays these console often, the good thing is that atleast they keep up their respective stores online for now which is a good thing if only for game preservation. How many digital only titles and dlc for that matter would dissapear forever when they decide to pull the plug on both stores.
I know most of you don't care about that and just want to play the latest games and you know there is nothing wrong with that but try to see it from the other angle aswell.
You could pretty much say the ps4 and xbox one is also outdated because it's base models are 9 year old hardware which is in technology terms acient.
I just got a 320gb slim ps3 and while the installation was a nightmare and toke almost 8 hours, i played quite a few hours of gran turismo 6 and you know that game looks better then a lot of ps4 games, same with forza 4 it's still the best in the series if you ask me and still looks great, if you ask me  it's still worth keeping these consoles around if you like those games.
You of all people should know because you've used a ps3 probably longer then most of us, imo there are still plenty of games to discover that are worth playing today. As for myself i missed out on a ton of ps3 exclusives that are imo still worth playing today.
