  1. I never got the chance to pickup a rare game for a cheap price, though honestly I wouldn't feel guilty buying it at a cheap price. Perhaps that's petty, but it's actually nice when you run into people who don't know what they have so you can get it for a good price. It's even better if it's a game you're willing to flip, honestly it's my dream to find a rare game for cheap.
  2. As someone who loves Turok and Doom I definitely will be getting this title. It reminds me of Turok for the PS3/Xbox 360 more than the older games. Still looks like it will be fun, but I can definitely see that the graphics look like last gen graphics. (Though honestly it doesn't bother me much.) Good thing I own a PS5 since it looks like it's going to be a exclusive, which is rare to see these days.
  3. I think it would be cool to be featured in a game after I passed. There was a well known Tech member on Sonic Retro who passed away in 2013, so there's a little homage to him in Sonic Mania which came out in 2017. When he was still alive he made a Sonic 1 hack that allowed you to play as a Motobug, there's a motobug named Jimmy in Sonic Mania that Heavy Robo rides. It's named after Polygon Jim, the guy who passed away. Makes sense since mania was created by members in the community. I thought that was really awesome.
  4. My spouse has been rewatching Twin Peaks lately. I started watching it with them here and there and it seems like a interesting show but also kind of off the wall too. I've heard it's just David Lynch's style though. Anyways this show originally aired back in April of 1990, and ran for a couple of seasons before it getting canceled. There was a movie that was released after the show got canceled, but it did get a third season 27 years after the first season aired. Lots of people consider the first season to be the best season where Season 2 sort of went downhill, probably causing the cancellation. The whole premise of the show is to figure out who killed Laura Palmer, which you do eventually figure out in season 3. (So fans of the show who watched it when it originally aired had to wait quite a long time for the answer.) Does anyone else here like this show?
  5. Hands down the best Sonic the Hedgehog game is Sonic 3 and Knuckles, there's no contest. No other Sonic title is as good as that one, it introduced Knuckles the Echidna, had amazing music, good level layouts that were different between Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles plus the sprites look the best. Also Mecha Sonic is cooler than Metal Sonic, and the version of Mecha from 3K is the best version. I think it didn't sell as many copies as the first two since these two games were never in console bundles like the first two games in the series were, so more people owned the first two. As for my second favorite game it's either gotta be Sonic Adventure or Sonic CD. I do enjoy most of the 3D titles of course, but they're not as good as the 2D ones IMO. Even though Sonic has had some bad games, I still think it's the best gaming franchise of all time.
  6. I absolutely hate Gangnam Style so if for some reason I heard it on the radio or if I was listening to a playlist with the song on it, I would immediately skip it. I still don't get how this annoying song got so many views on Youtube. I also don't like dubstep or rap, so anything from these genres I would skip over immediately. I have to admit I like the direction pop music is going this decade, it's homage to old classic house and dance music which is awesome. Well minus the rap that's still popular.
  7. I'm shocked there isn't a thread for this anime yet, since it came out in 2022 and a few people mentioned they liked it whenever I searched for any topics. Anyways my spouse and I finished up this anime last night and we both enjoyed it. We both never played Cyberpunk 2077 though, now I'm sort of interested in playing it though. David was my favorite character in the anime, at first I was shocked that there were only 10 episodes but once I started watching the second to last episode I realized it's a mini series lol. I'm actually satisfied with the ending, it's depressing but it was good. It's super gory so if you're not into that then this isn't the anime for you.
  8. Last year there was a new Pet Sematary movie released exclusively on Paramount Plus called Pet Sematary Bloodlines. Set in 1969, it shows a young Jud Crandall discovering the secret of his home town, the Indian Burial Ground that brings the dead back to life. It's a prequel to the 2019 Pet Sematary remake. I didn't like it as much as I liked the remake, but it was a pretty decent movie. I like it much better than Pet Sematary 2, even though I do like that movie despite it not being that well received by critics. It seems that critics didn't really care for Bloodlines either though, but I usually don't pay attention to what critics say about games and movies. Anyways has anyone else seen this film?
  9. You know I bet a lot of them might be archived, you'd be surprised how much usually gets archived by people. Though of course some games get lost to time, I know there's a lost Kingdom Hearts mobile game that came out before smart phones were released. It'll probably be lost forever unless someone held on to a phone that had the game downloaded, but that's gotta be rare. There's probably countless other games though too. In this day and age we're at a point when we know when games are going to be delisted or perhaps the servers will be taken offline so people are usually quick to archive the game.
  10. There were quite a few different Rugrats games that were released in the late 90's and the early 00's. There's even one currently being made too, which is set to come out sometime this year. Did you ever play these old school Rugrats games? I loved Rugrats Search for Reptar as well as Rugrats Studio Tour on the PS1 when I was a kid. I still enjoy them somewhat, but definitely not as much as I did when I was young. I also loved the Activity Challenge for the PC, my cousins had this one. I haven't played any of the other titles though, but Totally Angelica looks like the worse game and I will never play it. I am looking forward to the new game, it's called Rugrats Adventures In Gameland and will be a old school style 2D platformer which is different from the old Rugrats games that came out. (Those were usually in 3D, minus the various Game Boy releases.)
  11. I do own a few Sonic t-shirts as well as a Pokemon one. I want to get more though, I currently have a Sonic shirt that has Sonic on the front posing with a ring behind him. I also have a Tails shirt. My Pokemon shirt just says "Pokemon Go Trainer", it's quite old and has holes in it unfortunately so I need to get some new Pokemon shirts. I also have a old Sonic Boom 2013 t-shirt I got from the event for free. I don't wear it anymore since it doesn't fit me, plus it's a rare t-shirt now.
  12. I'm currently sick right now, I only have a cold but it sucks. Anyways I've been playing Pokemon Crystal with only a Caterpie lately, so I've just been grinding and listening to music while grinding to make it go by faster. It also helps keep my mind off being sick as well.
  13. To be fair She-ra did get a reboot recently. Honestly I loved the reboot too, but I'm sure people who grew up with the original probably didn't care for it. (Like in my case I love Teen Titans but I do not like Teen Titans Go. Kids these days only know of the Teen Titans from Go.) They may know 21 Jumpstreet since there was a movie released not too long ago as well, but they probably don't know who Alf is. (I only know of Alf since my aunt had a poster of the character in her room when I was super young, this was in the early 90's. I was born in 1990 btw.) Either way it would be interesting to see more 80's and 90's franchises get reboots via video games. We could get a new Animaniacs game since the show got a reboot, we got some cool games back in the 90's when the show was originally airing. I know there's a new Rugrats game coming out sometime this year too, the reboot inspired a new game which I am looking forward to playing the game when it comes out since I loved the PS1 Rugrats games.
  14. So I have been doing quite a few challenges in my favorite games as of late. I am currently doing a Caterpie only challenge in Crystal version, and I already beat Turok 3 using just melee weapons as well as a bow. I'm in the middle of editing that video, but since I currently am dealing with a cold I can't record my voice over until I start to feel 100% better. (I'm starting to feel a bit better today thankfully.)
  15. I usually don't review the games I've played, but since I have been focusing a lot on my Youtube channel as well as community I might start writing reviews of games I've played for the first time. (I might get around to making reviews for my favorite games but I think I'd be too biased if I did that.) I usually just sit down, play a game and if it's one I really like I'll end up playing it to the end and maybe just voice my opinions on the game while playing it just not online.
  16. Honestly I would either wait to save up for a Series X or S, but you could also just stick to PC gaming since pretty much a good amount of games from Game Pass are on PC Game Pass already. Ultimately it's up to you, but I wouldn't bother getting a used Xbox One when the Series X and S dropped in price recently. (Well the Series X did at least, but the Series S is pretty cheap for modern consoles.)
  17. I find myself doing this more often these days. I've started a good number of games, made it halfway through the games and put them down never to return to them. The latest one was Final Fantasy VIII, I started playing it at the end of 2022 when I was off work for a few weeks due to a shutdown. (It was somewhat Covid related, we just weren't getting enough orders at the time.) I picked up the game and played all the way until I was about to rescue Rinoa but I stopped playing and haven't picked it up since. I'm not sure why I haven't, I've been wanting to play through the entire game. I think I was under leveled and didn't want to grind.
  18. I think it's a positive thing, it makes it much easier to play with friends who own different game consoles. Back in the day you'd have to tell your friends to get whatever console you played on in order to play with or against them, even if they didn't really want to go with that platform. Even older you had to get together and bring your consoles with you to have a lan party in order to have a competition, I'm sure it was fun but also very hot in a room with a bunch of tvs/monitors and consoles/pcs.
  19. Yep I've received two NES clone consoles. The first one was when I was 12, I seen it at a mall kiosk and it was one of those Super Joy III consoles. My grandma got it for me since I thought it was cool, and she gave it to me for Christmas. The other time I was 28, so it wasn't too long ago. I wanted one of those Coolbaby NES mini clone consoles and I got it for Christmas. I knew what I was getting, but I didn't mind it being a clone console and not being able to actually hack it. I thought it was funny, both consoles actually. I wish I still had my Super Joy III, it had a few roms on it where the letters would be mixed around and Golf was one of them. Instead of saying "Water Hazard" and "Bunker" the N and T were switched around and so it said "Waner Hazard" and "Butker." xD Dig Dug was another rom on the clone console that had letters mixed around, the letter R and S were mixed around so whenever you got a game over the text would read "Game Oves."
  20. Sky News is absolute trash, it honestly doesn't surprise me this was their reaction to the news of this kid beating Tetris. Anyways I think it's cool that there's someone who finally beat Tetris after all these years, kudos to him! Plus his father passed away last month too, so he dedicated this to him. It's unfortunate his father wasn't alive to see him reach this goal.
  21. It's funny, I feel like ever since Sega made a Sonic toaster a bunch of other companies came along and made toasters. I never got the Sonic one unfortunately, but I don't eat toast that often to be bothered to get one. I'm sure there's going to be people who get this and already own the Xbox Series X mini fridge. It's a bit overpriced and can only toast one slice of bread at a time so I'll pass on this.
  22. Does anyone here have an account on Retro Achievements? It's a cool website that allows you to earn achievements from your favorite retro games. All you have to do is sign up on their website, and use a emulator that works with their site. You just have to log into your account using the emulator, and you can start earning achievements. You can take a look at their website to see which emulators are compatible with their site and what games have achievements. I have been working on Gex 3 lately, but I ran into a glitch where I couldn't get all the fly coins in Gangster TV due to a glitch so I haven't played it in a while. I'm wanting to get all the achievements in the game but until I can stop this glitch from happening I can't get all the achievements.
  23. The most I ever spent on a game was $70. This was on a copy of Mega Man Legends 2, and it was the disc only too. I kind of regret getting it since I wish I got a complete copy of the game. However it doesn't seem like the price of this game has gone down in a decade, so perhaps it was a good investment. A complete copy goes for over $100! It's nothing like The Misadventures of Tron Bonne though...
  24. I would love to see a sequel to Bully but at this point I don't think it'll ever happen. I can't really see them making other games just to hold people over until the newest GTA or RDR. This is because they make so much money off GTA V alone and that's why it took them over a decade to make a new one. As long as they're making money off that, I don't really see them developing games other than GTA and RDR.
  25. I think it's hilarious that they used his mugshot in the trailer. Should he get a little bit of compensation? Nah, mugshots are uploaded into the public domain and are free to use until you request that it gets removed from the public domain. If he didn't want his photo out there for people to use, he should have requested to get it removed from the public domain.
