  1. I've seen a few rugby games. And after being used to the way football is over here, rugby players make me think they're nuts. It IS football minus the pads. With the exception of that leather condom on their heads.
  2. Probably Squall. He reminds me a lot of myself. He doesn't put up with bullshit, and he's willing to die to protect those that he cares about. I think we would get along well.
  3. What are the top 5 of those NES games?
  4. I’ve seen a few soccer games, and a lot of football. I’m not particularly a fan of either. But from my perspective, football looks a lot more dangerous than soccer. I’ve never seen soccer players intentionally tackling each other to the ground. As for the mention of cleats, they wear metal cleats in football too. And if a tackle goes wrong the player can end up with severe spinal injuries or worse. I don’t know of any athletes getting a broken spine in a soccer game. But I do have to mention that soccer fans are the only ones I know of other than us hockey fans who will riot and get in physical fights with each other.
  5. When I was able, I loved playing sports. My interest in playing waned quite a bit as I got older, and now I couldn’t play if I wanted to. But I love watching hockey every chance I get.
  6. What part of the south are you in? Dallas has the Stars. Tampa Bay has the Lightning. Carolina has the Hurricanes. Florida has the Panthers. There’s several teams in the south.
  7. Kart racing games would get me into the genre. But there’s just too many few to draw my attention past Mario Kart.
  8. OMG, Atari was running 24/7 with me. I stuck to a few more than others. Asteroids Berzerk Centipede Dig Dug Donkey Kong Frogger Grand Prix Joust Pac-Man Mario Bros Pitfall Q*Bert Space Invaders Swordquest: both Earthworld and Fireworld Warlords I also played on Colecovision a ton. Ladybug was my favorite. For those that don’t know, it’s a variation of Pac-Man.
  9. What, exactly, is primitive to you?
  10. I have asthma as well, and due to MD I already have a compromised and weakened immune system. So I have been advised to stay home unless I have no choice but to get out, and to have as little human contact as possible for the foreseeable future. That doesn’t really change anything for me as that’s how I have always preferred things and chosen to live. But still, it’s a pain in the ass.
  11. There was an episode of Law & Order SVU where a girl did the same thing to her father. Not because of video games, but because he was a shitty father and she had finally reached her breaking point due to all his broken promises.
  12. I play both all the time. I have actually gotten all 120 stars on Mario before. Banjo Kazooie is an odd game, but still fun. My problem is that I always forget all the abilities that I learn from the mole.
  13. Pavel Datsyuk retiring. When we lost him we took a major blow. Then Lidstrom retired, and we lost Zetterburg to injury. That’s why we’re having such a horrible season this year.
  14. I don’t have a set list either. It depends on both the game and my mood. Which varies wildly.
  15. I lost so many years between when I was gaming as a kid and then got back into it as an adult, that I really don’t know. I wish I could pick s point, but I lost somewhere around 10 years I think. Possibly more. I do know for a fact that I missed the entire PS2 era.
  16. I’ve been playing the hell out of Goblin Sword on my Switch lately. It was like a $2 download and worth $2000. I absolutely LOVE the game. I’m also playing some others I’ve pucked up. A few here from VGR, and others that I bought through the Nintendo eShop and from GameStop.
  17. Wind Waker. Too much Cartoon Network. Not enough video game.
  18. Zelda always bugged the hell out of me with this. For example in the original it’s an untamed wilderness with no order of any kind. Then in Zelda 2, there are towns all over the map, and you no longer have items you can use, but spells instead. And all dungeons look identical. Then on SNES, the towns have disappeared and the only one in Hyrule is Kakariko, which never existed previously. On N64 they mix it up even more with the introduction of new races, and a complete 180 on others (Zoras no longer attack). After 7 main consoles Zelda has gotten wildly different in every single game. I would like just once to see a true sequel. And I’m not including portable systems in this like GameBoy or DS, with the exception of the Switch. This seriously drives me nuts. It’s like approaching a game you have never heard of each time. 😡😡😡😡
  19. What game do you hate the most? Why?
  20. I only have one question that makes a difference to me about the PS5. Is it backwards compatible, and if so, how far back? I’m beyond confused at this point about what the hell is going on with the damn thing.
  21. Saw series Dead Silence Halloween (Rob Zombie versions) The Devils Rejects The Curse Of La Llorona Descent Misery The Bye Bye Man The Midnight Man Truth Or Dare Rose Red Storm Of The Century Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
  22. Soul Calibur 2 on practice mode. No time limit, no health bar, no worrying about advancing to beat the game. Just simple fighting for as long as you want.
  23. @DylanC you will be happy to know, that I am now the proud owner of a copy of Blasphemous. And you were right. IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
  24. I have a weather app, notepad, schedule reminders, link up to my doctors, and a banking app. I also have things I call toys and games.
