Any speculation on what this new console will be? Or how they plan to outdo the Switch? I'm curious how they plan to beat a system that can go back and forth between portable and TV console.

I still play on cartridges and discs. And I'm not referring to current gen systems. I'm talking about Atari/NES/SNES/ N64/ PS1/PS3/ GBASP etc. I'm a classic gamer. But none of that flashback bullshit. I play the real god damn thing. And I have an enormous library of games, if you include all the games I have, including current gen systems. Well this is just for the systems I play. I'm not including my Game Cube, Wii, PS2, or Xbox 360 games, as I don't play those anymore. Castlevania: SOTN

If you're looking strictly for mobile games, Block Triangle and Tangle Master are pretty fun. One that I have on Switch, is Poly Puzzle. In the App store it's called Polysphere. but I'm on an iPhone, so I don't know if you can get it on android.

Free DLC Expansion Comes To ‘Blasphemous’ This August
The Blackangel replied to DylanC's topic in Gaming News
Yeah I've played it. It's a pretty sweet game. I love how gory it is. I'm not much for the religion side of the game, but otherwise I recommend it to everyone. -
I understood absolutely none of that. I've been out of the game on the technical side of computers since Win98. So when you guys get talking about this stuff, I don't know what the hell is going on. It's why on so many posts in the PC board, I just click them so the icon goes dark. Because I don't know any of this shit.

I hate laptops, regardless of what it's used for. They crap out too easily and way too damn fast. And that little scratch pad that is supposed to be a mouse, is just annoying as hell. Sure, they're convenient, but I want something that is going to last more than a month. If my keyboard fucks up, I can just buy another one. If the keyboard fucks up on a laptop, you're screwed. I've never seen one that you could hook up another keyboard to, without it rejecting it. Laptops are in my eyes, useless for most issues. I have a small one that I only use to write on. But even with it, the scratch pad quit on me and I had to buy an actual mouse to use it. They're junk. It's desktop all the way for me.

For this I'm excluding PC and mobile. I want to see what console everyone's favorite is and why. I don't mean generalized" or "Xbox". Be specific. Like Xbox 360, or PS3. Maybe Game Cube or Sega Dreamcast. if it's a home console, it's in the running. Do you like Jaguar? 3DO? Atari 7200? Xbox? PS2? I would say my favorite is and will always be the NES. I'm partial to 8 bit graphics, and the games were always so unique on the system. You rarely saw a sequel, unless it was a huge franchise. There are so many games that range from every genre you can think of. Some were mixed genres, and others simply didn't fit any genre at all. If you can tell me what genre Marble Madness fit in, and make a plausible point as to why, then you're a hell of a lot smarter than I am. You don't see a lot of unique games anymore like we did on the NES. It's all sequels to sequels to sequels. I get that some franchises are huge, and the fans of that franchise want more of it. I get that. But I just wish someone would put out a truly unique game, like they did back in the NES era. So many games are ripoffs of others. But anyway, the NES will always be number 1 for me.

The War We Lost - new zombie survival game in development
The Blackangel replied to Twin Stone Studio's topic in Gaming News
You hit the nail on the head. There's way too many zombie games on the market, which is why I'm not a fan anymore. It's overkill (no pun intended). And you're definitely right that it's a tired concept. I like horror games, but this style is getting old. Otherwise however, I do like the way the game looks. If a game developer sees this post, can you make something like a Rose Red meets Slender Man type of game or something? Layers Of Fear: Legacy is already a lot like a Rose Red situation, and I love it. But we need something truly unique. I just mixed Rose Red, and Slender Man because it was the first two things that popped into my mind. Hell mix Pinocchio and Jenna Jameson for all I care, as long as it's a unique game.- 8 replies

I'm kinda pissed off at the weather right now. I was so hyped up to see the planets last night, and got up at 3:30 in the morning to be outside to see them. The entire area of the fucking state was covered by clouds, effectively blocking the entire sky. For someone who absolutely loves astronomy, that's a heart breaker. It's something that's never going to happen again in my lifetime.
-
I’m almost exclusively a classic gamer, so yes.
-
Agreed. Whoever is picked, I'm sure they will be a great fit.
-
True. If it's blatantly obvious that it's pure spam, then no problem. But with others like @RoBnLoZ GaMinG they were given a temp ban, but have been allowed back and made some decent contributions to the forum, IMO. So that's where the leaving it to admin would come in to play.
-
If you were to choose me, I would leave the suspensions and bans to you. I wouldn't consider that in the job title for me, that would be left to admin.
-
I can offer my time. I've been a mod on several forums in the past, and an admin on a couple others. I never have been one on an Invision forum, but I'm sure I could learn how. I would probably make a quick test post or something to tinker with to learn how everything works here. But I'm not the most up to date on the current gen games and systems, and I know nothing about PC specs, so despite experience I may not be the best choice.

To those that go specifically for first person games
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
Very true, the mechanics of any given game aren’t typically related to the view of the character. There are games that are amazing, and games that are pure shit in both first and third person. Also while they are few, there are games that were specifically thought up for the mechanics to be experienced through a first person perspective. But it’s still a matter of opinion as to what a person goes for. Until FF8 came out, I wouldn’t play anything that wasn’t pure fantasy. Part of what drew me in was “Fantasy” in the title. It opened my mind to other kinds of games. Granted on NES and SNES there were a couple games I was into that weren’t pure fantasy, but I could count them on one hand. My girl for example, hates first person, because of she can’t see anything other than what’s directly in front of her. She tried it with a dinosaur hunting game when she was a kid, and had nightmares about raptors getting her from behind due to the game. To this day, no matter how good a game looks to her, if it’s first person she passes. I pass also because with me, it’s in the same boat as online gaming. I simply don’t enjoy those games. I’ve given them several shots, and can only think of one that I enjoyed. Hexen. I respect your points, as you made several good ones. But I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. -
Does anyone remember those Tiger games? Just nothing but an LCD that lit up at different parts. Those of us that couldn't afford a Game Boy were stuck with those $15 pieces of shit. From what I understand, they're fairly collectible now.

If you are looking for what to play on Quarantine.
The Blackangel replied to rootstereo's topic in Video Games
You intentionally left out vital information, because you didn't want to seem like spam? That is called "bait and switch". You're trying to lure people in, and then change things up when they get there. You might as well show images of this game, but instead sell people Doom. Leaving out information that is needed comes across as a pyramid scheme to me. And the rate at which you jump your prices is flat out fucked up. That alone tells me that this game is nothing I could ever want a part of, no matter how "pretty" it seems. You're a scam artist, nothing more.
