  1. I don't shut up. If I get talking about gaming, you almost have to duct tape my mouth shut and lock me in a cave.
  2. Yes, trailers help me decide. There are a lot of games in the Nintendo eShop that on a first glance looked great. But upon viewing the trailer, I completely changed my mind. And there were others that were the exact opposite. So if I can see a trailer of how the game is, that helps a lot in my decision on whether or not I think I would even play it, let alone want to spend the money on it.
  3. Galaga comes to mind for me. It's very simple concept of a space shooter is easy enough for even a toddler to grasp. But truly appreciating a game like it is something only the older generations that grew up with the game can do.
  4. Ethical is entirely interpretive. What falls under ethical to me, I'm certain isn't ethical to anyone else here. The only things I can find unethical, that I can think of off the top of my head, is animal abuse, sexual crimes, or crimes against young children. Such things deserve a sentence of death in my opinion. But pretty much anything else is fair game to do. Anything from slashing an assholes tire, to nuking a country is fine with me.
  5. Ok, what the hell did I miss?
  6. It's different. It strikes me as a bit of a puzzle solving game. I identify with Max really well. I was bullied the same as her, except it was worse for me. But all in all it's a really good game. I'm not too far in it yet, but so far, I have no complaints.
  7. There will definitely be others who try. Mark Zuckerberg may try to come out with a console. Call it the Fast Back. Elon Musk may come out with a console. Call it the M%g7+Q2(H1ÆO±. Or maybe one of us here may come out with a console. I'd call it the Son Of A Bitch. I'd call it that, because I would only want games on it that were so difficult that every gamer would regularly get pissed and yell out SON OF A BITCH! when playing it. But to get back to the point, many will come. Most will fail, some may succeed. For a time at least. But as for true competition to the Big 3, I highly doubt that will happen. At least not in my lifetime, or that of a lot of the members here.
  8. They're a bit of a bitch to find here. And there's even a battery store here in town that all they sell is batteries. They have a hard time getting the right battery for video game carts in because they're not in any demand anymore. Next to no one plays NES these days, so no one needs them for gaming purposes. As for other uses, it's just not a needed battery here in my area apparently.
  9. I have replaced the battery before. That's not a big thing. The big thing is finding the right battery to put back into the cartridge. There is where the hunt starts. The batteries that are installed when the carts are made were intended to last forever in NES terminology. But being that it's 35 years later, they don't really hold that forever expectation anymore.
  10. What are your sources? Why would you think in any way that Nintendo would be dead? Tell me you were drunk when you made this post, so at least there could be some form of explanation behind such an asinine question.
  11. A lot of early games that featured a save function no longer save. Either the battery is long since dead, or the hardware is just breaking down. I have difficulty getting Zelda and Zelda 2 to save a lot of the time. It’s a pain, but I’m not going to be quitting playing them any time soon.
  12. The best way to go in my opinion is Raycons. The sound quality is mind blowing, and the transmission through the mics is as if you’re sitting right beside the people you’re talking to. They can’t be beat.
  13. Thinking....thinking.... Damn, no good ideas. 112
  14. I'm just going to be blowing shit up. I bought a wheel of 16000 firecrackers and I just want to know how long it will be blowing up.
  15. Wait, there are 3 of you? Ok, who else is moving to a cave on Mars?
  16. If you bought it used, you may have to try deleting the previous user from your system. Reset is to factory specs. Then set up your profile. Also, make sure it's connected with your internet. Those passwords are often case sensitive (I know mine is) and people are often somewhat careless when putting it in. If none of that works, you may have to take it in somewhere to figure it out. Or cut your losses and get another one.

    PS2.

I missed the entire PS2 era, as I was living in an abandoned warehouse. Not exactly a lot of options for entertainment.
  18. I've barely touched BOTW as it is. And now they're talking about a direct sequel? The last one I recall them calling Zelda 2, was not received well.
  19. I've played it on my GBASP several times. And while I'm horrible at it, I still enjoy playing it.
  20. I've owned every Nintendo system with the exception of Virtual Boy and Wii U. But I typically only play NES, SNES, N64, and Switch as far as Nintendo goes. I've also had every PlayStation as well, with the exception of PS Vita. Me and my girl (we live together, and no we're not gay) have Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but don't really use the 360 anymore. We also have a gaming PC, but it mainly just collects dust. I play Hatred on it, but other than that, it really doesn't get used much.
  21. The PS5 is a serious threat to both Xbox and Nintendo. I think Xbox is going to crash hard with this one, and then scramble to pull a phoenix move, and rise from the ashes. Nintendo on the other hand, will put up a good fight, but since there is no word on them releasing anything this next gen, I don't know what they're going to do. The Switch is the most powerful portable console ever released to date, so they may be moving into a portable market and leaving the home console market to PlayStation and Xbox. Granted with the dock, you can still play Switch as a home console, but to my knowledge, not many do.

  23. A few years ago, I went for a 24 hour straight play of FF8. I started at 9PM and didn't stop until 9PM the next night. When I went to bed, that night, I was literally asleep before my head hit the pillow. But the negative effect of it came the next day. I was sick as a dog due to the withdraws of not taking my medications the night before. I didn't take them because I was too tired to make them up. If anyone here can stay up for 24 hours straight, then go through 19 bottles to get their medications ready I would love to know how.
