  1. PlayStation Home was a bit ahead of its time back then. As a idea it was great but the technology and the general social aptitude when it came to interacting with others online wasn't really there like it is now. I'm sure it would have been far more successful it were introduced now.
  2. If AEW's delivers what it's promising then it should be a real fun throwback to those arcade style THQ games. What's working me about both WWE and AEW's games is that there has been so many changes to their rosters over recent weeks and months that their going to be completely out of date by the time they come out!
  3. Well like you said, this is never gonna happen. Even if WWE and 2K had any desire to do it which they most certainly don't it would be a licensing nightmare. Original hardware and emulation will likely forever be the only ways.
  4. I agree, I'd wait at least another year. As for the specs on Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6... we don't know but we can make some semi-educated guesses. What we do know right now is that Starfield will release on the Series X/S but NOT (at least hardware natively) for the XBox One. We can also assume that since it needs to work at least comfortably on the Series S that the minimum PC Specs will somewhere below that. So I'm going map out the general structure to be something like this: XBox One Equivalent < PC Minimum < Series S Equivalent < PC Recommend < XBox Series X Equivalent < PC Ultra The Series S has a 8 Core Ryzen Gen 2 based CPU and a 4TFlop GPU which is about the same as a 1060 but I'll up that to a 1070 since optimization on console is more effective since developers can "dig closer to the hardware" so to speak. Since I expect the PC minimum to sit somewhere below that I'm going to guestimate the PC Minimum will be in the region of a Ryzen 5 2600/Intel I5 8500 CPU, a GTX 1050/RX 650 GPU and 8Gb DDR4 RAM and this will manage about 30fps at 1080 on low to medium. I'll need to check back next year to see how good my aim is! LOL!
  5. Get a hold of yourself, including the initial vote the ballots have been counted 4 times each time confirming that Biden won. I don't think 5 is going to Trump's lucky number. It's not to change the result, their not going to declare martial law, it's just yet another waste of time. Nothing more, nothing less.
  6. Games are easier now than they were in the 80's and 90's, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Games today that center their whole around challenge are the Souls-Borne types which I'm not a very big fan of. If you like those types of those that's fine, I can see appeal. For me though, they have this wiff if elitism about them which brings such serious toxicity out of people that they get genuinely offended at the idea of these games even having difficulty options. Like @m76 was saying if your not a "great" player or perhaps just want a more relaxing experience but still want to play these games for their art, story and lore then you should obviously be allowed to. If you want to test your skills with a more challenging experience then you should be allowed to do that to. I genuinely don't understand why it's such a taboo.
  7. The series hasn't been out long enough for any proper games based of it to be developed. If there is any they will likely just be low to no effort asset flips trying to make a cheap buck of the show's popularity.
  8. Yep, in this day and age of pandemics, crunch and shortages of labour/materials, french based studio Sloclap have done the seemingly impossible and have announced that they are releasing their self published title Sifu early! https://comicbook.com/gaming/amp/news/ps4-ps5-playstation-sifu-release-exclusive-game/ The title is now coming out on PS4, PS5 and Windows PC two weeks ahead of its announced 22nd of February date on February 8th. In this world where games like Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Forbidden West getting months or even years long delays has become the norm. Not to mention crowdfunded projects like Star Citizen releasing nothing but roadmaps... to roadmaps I genuinely never thought I would never see this happen again in my life. Are pinching yourself to make sure still awake? What are your thoughts?
  9. Your actually better off getting a PS2. It's full backwards compatible with the PS1 and their more reliable.
  10. Well unfortunately when it comes to the burden of proof, which is on me, the only accounts I can prove that definitely aren't bullshit are of those in higher profile positions. That being individuals like Cory Barlog, Sony's Santa Monica Studio, but as I'm sure you'd argue that doesn't really prove my point. Sorry, but your going to have to go on a little bit of faith here. Employees, even lower level ones of companies do have to take on some level of responsibility in representing their brands and publicly post post details of their positions on their own social network accounts and/or create specific accounts for them. That is NOT the only way and you know it. A single post on social media, a YouTube video, a comment, a forum post, a written review... There are a tons of ways to make your criticisms known that don't fall the route of harassment. Do they guarantee that you point with be met by the person(s) you intend, probably not. Does that mean you should repeatedly post insulting shit on social media until you are certain they do see it, absolutely not. You seem to be attempting to ride what you seem to think is a thin line between criticism and harassment, when the truth is these things are a full 8 lane highway apart. Bullying and harassment are not acceptable behaviour under any circumstance. I'll happily and have on many occasions called out companies on their bullshit Rockstar included but the difference between that and harassing and/or insulting people at those companies is crystal clear, or at least it should be.
  11. I'm watching WWE Survivor Series right now. With that in mind I think it's a choice between two. So @DC, are you The Head of the Table: Or are you The Man:
  12. Well there was LJN who published the Karate Kid game on NES... ...You should probably be thankful they aren't doing this again.
  13. Your only half right here. The gaming industry is highly active on social media for promotional purposes. So individuals are encouraged and sometimes even required to create social media accounts that reflect or represent the companies they are working for. That does NOT mean they have to bear the full responsibility of that companies action on their shoulders. Especially since the sequence of events that lead to the kind of issues that we are seeing right now with the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition are never down to the fault of one individual. So you see, even if someone bears the Rockstar badge on their profile, even if they are the head of the company... It... Is... Not... Their... Fault. It is always a series of failures and decisions from a multitude of people which may seem completely inconsequential to each other. No individual deserves to be publicly crucified for this, and the fact you seem to think it's acceptable or at least "what they should expect" as along as they publicly announce on a social media profile that they work for then that is very disturbing Indeed.
  14. I think we have this topic posted already:
  15. What do you mean? It's an offline game, or it was "back in the day". In all seriousness I was never that big a fan but I could see it's appeal. Now though, mutch like FIFA and Madden, it's just an increasing experiment on how much EA can push their greed.
  16. To gain the weight I need some food, so what your really asking is if I'd rather been banned from the internet for a month or have free food... ...I choose free food.
  17. I've been looking into that. There do exist live servers than can be embedded but with the limitations of being a user and not admin along with posting exclusively on my phone I don't think I can do it in my end. A community Chess game is something I think would be really cool.
  18. Releasing a shit product is no excuse for harassment and Rockstar have every right to get upset if that's what people are doing. No individual at Rockstar, wether it be a ground floor developer of even somone in upper management deserves to be treated like that. Criticism is good, it's makes them aware the their customers are having issues with the product and helps to direct how it can be fixed. Issuing death threat's, doxing or personal attacks is counter productive and completely unacceptable. I agree that Rockstar screwed the pooch and as of right now they haven't done enough. They just relisted the original trilogy on PC, but it should be on all platforms on which it was originally available. They should be offering refunds. They shouldn't have been misleading in their marketing. They shouldn't have been lazy and used the mobile versions of the games to create the new port in the first place.
  19. I hate Facebook, If it were a person I wouldn't trust the asshole with a can opener. I did have a go at opening an account once but amount of personal information they demand is totally unacceptable. Full name, address, phone number, email and even where you went to School. I half expected them to ask for my penis size too and of course they'll sell that information to fucking anyone.
  20. Yeah, I can't stand people who relinquish for what they do on to something and/or something else.
  21. Sadly there's a reason you don't see many motorcycle games...
  22. The truth is "Arm Wrestling" has very little to do with the muscles in the arms. Biceps and triceps are for lifting, it's the "pushing" muscles that do the work in this motion. Such as the deltoids in the shoulder, the pectorals in the chest and more muscles in the back. You can test this yourself, put your arm into the position then rotate it backwards and forwards like your arm wrestling for a while. You'll notice it's not your arms then get tired.
  23. I've tried it. There's an added challenge because of the longer distance but aside from that it's not really any different. Here in the UK at least the 12ft tables are pretty much standard for professional players in both Pool and Snooker.
  24. Billiards is a term often used to describe these type of cue style games in a general way, but technically it's actually a different game from Pool or Snooker.
  25. I think it's it's kind of a moo point. Ray tracing is going to be industry standard in the next generation of cards anyway if it's not already. That's not at all a bad thing but my point is pretty soon it's going to be pretty close to impossible to find any modern GPU that doesn't have it. So the debate as to whether or not one should spend the money on RTX or not is going to be irrelevant.
