Joshua Farrell Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 For those games that have locations in the real world (or even locations that are fictional), what place in the game would you like to be able to visit, if you could (and if the location was real)? I would love to visit the planet Naboo, if it was real. Played plenty of Star Wars games, and watched the movies, and based on the beauty of the planet via portrayal of it in the games and movies, it would be a nice place to visit.
The Blackangel Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Lake Hylia in Zelda. Specifically the version from Ocarina. The tranquility of the lake is just calming to me. There have been several times in real life that I’ve started up the game just to take Link there and just leave him alone so I can look at the water. Since I can’t do that IRL anymore, it’s a nice release for me in game.
TheSteelyardDweller Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 def the Pitt in Fallout 3 i love that place the eerie atmosphere
skyfire Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I think there are many fantasy games which people would love to visit. Like there are literally many realms and world people can go to and enjoy.
ARx182 Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 I would have said the GTA map when I was younger, but that is basically the States, particulary LA (based off GTA V). Somewhere on the Fortnite map is a shout, a trip to Tilted Towers with the boys would be a good laugh.
skyfire Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 I wonder how the locations like in apex legends, PUBG, Fortnite would be in fantasy, must be like pure warzone though looks peaceful.
Patrik Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 I personally would visit Los Santos ( from GTA San Andreas, it actually exists in the states lol, it's just harder for me to get there )
Empire Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 WHen I read the title, GTA series right away, From GTA 4 and 5 🙂 I do recognize the location in the games that I have seen in films and on YouTube, however not really intersting in going there in real life.
staticradio725 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 I don't really have a good answer for this question, but it reminded of that one time I went to the Boston-ish area of Massachusetts for a funeral, after having sunk 500+ hours into Fallout 4 by that point. It was very surreal, driving down the interstate and seeing all the familiar location names on the highway signs, locations I was only familiar with because I'd seen them in that game. "Ugh, no, we can't stop in Concord." "Why?" "Preston is there, he's gonna make me fight a deathclaw in a power armor suit... Look, it's a whole thing, OK?"
skyfire Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Some 2D games have good graphics too. And they have improved a lot over the years. I can tell you that locations which are kind of graphically nostalgic tend to put an impression on you.
m76 Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Most games I play aren't exactly set in great holiday locations. So there aren't that many I'd want to visit. Ever since playing Test Drive Unlimited, I wanted to visit Oahu, but I fear it would not live up to my expectations. A fictional place that I would love to visit is Auroa from Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Of course without the murderous mercenaries and drones.
Kane99 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Visiting the world of Fable would be interesting I think. I don't know if I'd want to do anything with GTA, as that would be more chaos that its worth I think. Maybe the world of Shadow of the Colossus.
skyfire Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 There are some really nice places in no man;s sky too.
Heatman Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Personally, I would definitely be interested in visiting one of the beautiful cities in Cyberpunk 2077. I can't stop imagining how cool it would be.
Shole Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 I think there are a few locations I visited from Watch Dogs, def saw the Golden Gate bridge, and yeah I guess that's it for now. Might eve seen some more but not sure.
