  1. If I'm remembering the movie correctly, It has been a while, the puppet actually did become a real boy. As a puppet, his nose grew when he told a lie, but after he became a real boy his nose moved further south and now grows when he sees a pretty lady.

  2. In that case, they are telling lies. Basically, what us Scots refer to as mince pies. Remember what happened to the puppet that wanted to be a little boy? 😄

  3. It's a classic bait and switch - they played on the links that they were developing a Silent Hill game instead of denying it from the get-go and then when they receive criticism about this, now they choose to disclose that they don't have anything to do with it.

  4. Season passes are like loot boxes you never know exactly what are you going to get for your money upfront. I only got season passes when it was included in the deluxe edition of a game that I could get a good deal on. Once or twice I bought a season pass after the season to get past content. But even then the content didn't live up to my expectation. So basically a season pass is just a pre-paid subscription to a live service, no thanks.

  5. A software developer working on a project in their spare time does not constitute "using Amazon resources", unless of course they force their developers to use them and not work with anyone outside of Amazon. Do you not see what they were doing? It's a self-fulfilling infringement because they know perfectly damn well the policy isn't fair and wouldn't hold up under any scrutiny.

  6. UGHH, Don't me started!! Flat Earthers are genuinely the biggest idiots on the planet. They are sufferers of the most insufferable conformation bias I have seen. They get laser focused on whatever they can cherry pick to support their ridiculous ideas and completely dismiss the litteral thousands of years of evidence that doesn't. It's a pity the earth isn't flat, if it was I'd throw them all off edge!

  7. Only recently have I decided to subscribe to Discord Nitro to 'boost' the servers I'm on, but I suspect I'll cancel it after a month because I don't find it particularly useful. I am however finding use in D&D Beyond's subscription which lets me share my books among my fellow players and the dungeon master (DM), so they don't have to worry about buying stuff. This is particularly useful when the server we're all from was aimed entirely at people who were brand new to the game so they want to make it as cheap as possible. And as much as I hate to say it, I think I'm starting to prefer digital to print when it comes to my D&D stuff. 😣

  8. That's fair. I imagine that would apply more to the Mages Guilds than the Arcane University, where the politicking seems to be far more prominent. But then maybe that's what led to their downfall: Archmage Traven's choice to chuck out the necromancers caused the cracks to appear, and maybe the Arcane University since went on to become about might being right, which left them vulnerable to the Thalmor's infiltration. Or maybe you're right, that by using the sword rather than the pen they might've dealt with the Thalmor. There's 200 years of speculation there, so we might both be right!

  9. So, what's their stance on this now because they are pretty much having everyone confused.

  10. How did this become political? All kinds of people believe in all kinds of conspiracies - just look at Flat Earthers. They actually believe that the pictures of the Earth from space is photoshopped and has been photoshopped since the 60s even though Photoshop the program has only been around since the 2000s...

  11. I live with my parents and they still have cable. They do not have any subscription services.

  12. I suppose that, in a way, it is similar to the prospect of people leaving thier bodies to medical science and plenty of people wouldn't have an issue with that. However, necromancy isn't exactly medical science, it's abusing people's remains to use them for personal gain, like for combat or personal defence, and that is kind of sick. Summoned Deadra are clearly not creatures of will, otherwise why would they serve you? So I see summoning them as a different matter. When an Atroanch or bound weapon is summoned, nobody's remains have been defiled for selfish gain. If it were me, I wouldn't like to think that my corpse was being uses as a weapon, especially in the likely truth that the one wielding me as that weapon was the one that killed me in the first place.

  13. That's a good point - life really needs a respawn button instead of being permadeath lol.

  14. Turds of the world. Every month someone has to bring in a new and unique shit from a new creature. If they fail to bring a new and unique shit to the club, then they have to eat one of the rest of the clubs choice.

  15. Although the gameplay can get quite repetitive in Gran Turismo, it's still one of my favorite racing games as well and what really got me into racing games.

  16. Imagine lifesize statue of this. How amazing it would be.

  17. Real life sized game characters. It would be fascinating to have such merchandise. Specially, characters from Tekken series would be great to start with. 😆

  18. It's scary the similarities of real life where politicians are using the same tactics to spread the virus. The game really is a simulation, and a study of real world. Historians and health professionals already know the spread is directly related to those who oppose protections.

  19. Yeah, they got that quite right with their racing simulation so far. It's actually why I love their games so much.

  21. We also had quake and halo tournaments at school and online back in the early 2000s - it was a fun time on the internet without all the toxic crap.

  22. Seriously, there are games that would definitely give you some thumb bruises whether you want it or not.

  23. It's kinda hard to imagine why this show needs a budget like this. The most expensive parts (I would think) are the exterior urban environments where they might need to lock off a few streets. Though not cheap (especially in current circumstances) productions do this all the time.

  24. Fog, has been done extremely well since the mid nineties when the first decent 3D Accelerators came out. The worst while not exactly weather, i think is darkness. In most games you can either see clear as day or nothing at all when it is supposed to be dark. It just never feels right. They also struggle with snow, there were some strides in this regard recently but it is still not good enough.

  25. It's difficult to say with video games - it depends on what becomes trendy because that's the bandwagon most of the developers will hop on because they're guaranteed a paycheck from that.

  26. Lol. That is also a business tactic. I mean, if they would have provided those XP points so easily, why would people buy with real money. 😆 That's how they generate profit. 😊

  27. Strange, I don't actually recall my armourer skill taking that long. Maybe it just didn't feel as long as I tended to use a mixture of trainers and organic gameplay to do it.
