    Lost in Random

There are plenty of tim burton art type games and this one especially has that strong vibe in the game. I kind of liked the narrative too. Check out the trailer.

  2. When you say something that's in agreement with something an animated Disney villain from the 1970's said, that's already a worry... But even without that, what you just said is actually quite sexist even if it were true. At least in the world of Robin Hood it makes some sense because it's the middle ages and like it or not the gender roles were what they were, but for TLOU it doesn't make sense at all. Throughout history woman have been robbing people, it's not a gender specific profession. Spoilers Ahead I remember Henry said something about how the hunters in Pittsburgh "Didn't keep woman and kids around", and then there's the thing @Crazycrab mentioned about David's town of cannibals. Between those two area's, the Soldiers in Boston (many of them are female if I remember correctly), Robert's goons and the Fireflies at the end, that's pretty much all the human's you fight in the game. You're probably right @StaceyPowers, TLOU is a bit bit of a sausage-fest, but there is some logic to it. The second game was a lot better in this regard, though.

  4. https://youtu.be/R_VzjFWrF6o I really enjoyed this video essay about Skyrim and RPGs. Its main point is essentially that video games offer us safe havens of order and meaning in a chaotic and confusing universe.

  5. It all comes down to how the leveling system in Oblivion works. Each skill is attached to an attribute which affect your characters overall stats like health, magic, strength, speed and so on. When you raise level you have the opportunity to raise your attributes, by how much depends on how many times you have raised the attached skills. Being attacked raises you Armor skill, light armour is attached to speed and heavy armour is attached to endurance. Then repairing that armour raises Armourer which is also attached to endurance. Endurance is a particularly important attribute to raise quickly because the higher your endurance the more your health increases when you raise level. So just letting yourself get attacked might sound a little strange but it's what you have to do in order raise level as efficiently as possible.

  8. In that case, they are telling lies. Basically, what us Scots refer to as mince pies. Remember what happened to the puppet that wanted to be a little boy? 😄

Personally, I don't see anything silly in going with your feelings or guts towards choosing a game to play. I actually do it sometimes.

This is going to sound silly, but don't judge, I just go by feeling. If I feel like thinking I play strategies, if I feel like chilling I play sim games that are like CitySkylines or some random silly game like among us.

I'm definitely not going to use Eeny Meeny Miny Moe pattern to choose a game to play. What happens if it falls on a horrible game I never want to play again? 🙄

  12. Not the whole time. A game like Outlast where you need a flashlight, I thought really enhanced the fear factor. I really liked the game, but wish I could spend more time looking at the gruesome stuff, but I can't when I use up batteries. If I played on easy mode, I'd have more batteries at the sacrifice of the challenge. Maybe I took 'dark' too literal. lol

  14. That’s not even all my games. I didn’t list PS2, 360, Game Cube, Wii, DS/3DS, or Game Gear. There’s a few other systems here that I don’t really play much anymore, but I can’t think of what they are at the moment. Anyway, from what I listed above, I have more Mario Kart games than anything else, so that would probably seem to be the obvious answer. But in all honesty, I kinda like F-Zero a lot. Pole Position is a lot of fun too. Grand Prix and Indy 500 have always been a great time.
