I do gotta say i'm flattered to see my user name in here. Wasen't really expecting to be ever nominated for something like this, Let alone my first month of posting here. 
Thanks to DC for nominating me -> you have a great community going here , it's rare to see such an active forum in this day and age and i'm glad to be part of it. Kind off wished i find vgr sooner then i did. The forums i usually frequented where mostly about collecting video games rather then about the games themselves so it's refreshing just speaking about games and nothing else. Even tough i would like to sneak in a little video game collecting in here and there well if i'm allowed to open up a topic that is.

Oh Did you start playing it because i was hyping it up in a few other threads? 😊 Combat is so much fun in mad max and chumbucket is probably one of the better sidekicks in videogames.

I don't know, from your list let's see : elden ring and god of war aren't really games i would pay full price for but in the future i'll get elden ring once i see it on sale. GT 7 and horzion forbidden west i'm 100% sure i'm going to get but i'm torn wheter i should hold off until i get a ps5 or not. GTA 6 isen't going released anytime soon so that's not really an answer either. 
If i had a ps5 i'd get GT 7 and horizon no doubt about it. GT7 would be my top pick

So is anybody going to do something fun in the next few days/weekend? With all the shit that is going on in the world let's talk about something else for a change?
As for myself i've got the entire week off work, did some chores around the house today  and probably will go for a nice long hike tommorow around 15 miles orso.

I'm going to go with the yakuza games, the world to explore may be small and some woulden't call it open world perse but the world that is there is jam packed with minigames and side missions that are interesting and fun to do, something ubisoft could learn a thing or two from. 
If you want ps3 open world games i'd suggest :
Yakuza 3,4 and 5 
Infamous 1 and 2 -> great ps3 exclusives from insomniac kind of a superhero game where you get powers based on being good and bad.
The saboteur -> Nobody really talks about this game anymore, but i really liked this one kind of ac during world war 2, you blow up a lot of stuff.
also why not try out kingdoms of amalur and i'll name it for the hell off it Driver : san francisco.
and how could i forget Dragon's dogma -> capcom's answer to skyrim, often forgotten but still well worth checking out.

I usually stay impartial to these but I am officially nominating @Yaramaki for February's member of the month poll.

Games should be fun to play to begin with, if it starts to get frustrating i usually quit immediately. 
 

Just don't buy them and let them be stuck with their consoles is the best thing you can do. 
But i think we should create another thread for this as i kinda want to reply in general so i'll go ahead and do that.

Dirt 5 came out in 2020, forza last year.
Justin11 you should check out Dirt 2 that is the highlight of the  dirt series in my oppinion before they went all ghymkana and shit. Before you ask, yes you can play that on your ps3.

I'd say gran turismo 6 which came out really late in the ps3 life cycle and a lot of people already moved on to the ps4 and never looked back. Kinda suprising they never ported it over to the ps4 to be honest.
Gran turismo 4 was the absolute highlight of the series and probably the most beautiful game on the system. GT2 pretty much perfected what the first gran turismo was about, also toning down the difficulty of the different licenses adding rally and even more cars which was unheard off at the time.

It's Never to late to try it on my man. Pretty sure you can get the game dirt cheap on ebay/gamestop or wherever you want

Pretty much the excuse for anything that's delayed or out of stock in stores these days. Don't know how it is in the usa but i had to wait 6 months until i get the couch i ordered, but sir it's the fault of covid, man i'm sick of hearing the same excuse all the time. 

Don't you think it's weird to say that digital games are expensiver then physical games? It just doesen't make any sense at all.
To each their own i guess but I'll never understand why anyone would prefer digital over physical, unless you only buy 2-3 games a year i've yet to see any benefit, yes i get gamepass is a good deal but to me it's just a rental service. But who am i to judge i'm just on old fart who lives in the dinosaure age apperently 😉

haha yeah i'm a collector alright, it's kind off hard to deny when you own 11k+ physical games (all complete) and about 200+ consoles/handhelds. 
Just figured a picture is better then words, if somebody on vgr checks out atleast one of the games and ends up enjoying it i'd say mission accomplished 😉

mine has to be Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing on pc my uncle gave it to me after he coulden't figure out what to do, i diden't either btw.

Pretty sure microsoft could just straight up buy sony if they wanted/allowed to. 

I've used ebay since 2004 and never really had any problems bar a few shady sellers who never shipped their items and a few sellers who backed out of a sale because the price was likely too low and for the few items i've sold on there over the years there is always a bad buyer you have to deal with but If you buy something there and use paypal as payment you're fine really!
Lol It's actually the other way around you have more privileges as a buyer then a seller. Ebay almost always sides with the buyer when you file a claim, you can't even leave negative feedback as a seller when somebody doesen't pay for their items.

here is my top 7 of last year under the radar releases :

It's a spin off from the yakuza series, plays the same just with a bit more over the top fighting style and you're playing as a private detective instead of a (ex)yakuza. You still beat up random dudes from the streets, it also deals with themes like alzheimer, drug abuse, bullying, etc themes you don't see in videogames very often. Yagami is an exellent character with an own indentity so doesen't need customization, there are some customes you use as disguise.
