  1. No I would say the Virtual Boy is the worst Nintendo console. I've only met one person who actually liked it, and was actually shocked that it was his favorite with my personal favorite (the Gamecube) being his least favorite. I personally don't really care for the Game and Watch line, they were definitely a product of their time. (I'm not sure about the new Game and Watch lineup though, I haven't played them...)
  2. As of writing this post I actually do own every single Playstation console. Of course not every single model though. 😛 That would be a bit overkill, but I suppose having a PS2 and PS1 might be a bit weird. xD My PS3 is a slim model so it can't play PS2 titles and not all PS1 games run right on it. There are a few PS4 titles that don't run right on the PS5, such as Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection.
  3. The server costs have to be quite expensive I would imagine. I do miss the days where it was free to go online, but times are changing and these game servers need to be able to handle faster network speeds and more players too.
  4. I've currently been listening to SAINT PEPSI Cherry Pepsi non stop! I'm listening to it even as I type this sentence up. He's one of the most well known Vaporwave artist, so chances are you might have heard about him if you like Vaporwave.
  5. I definitely spent the most time playing my Switch. Between playing Pokemon Legends Arceus and Pokemon Scarlet, I've spent hours playing both titles. I still need to get around to beating Legends Arceus, I don't know why I stopped playing it. I'm right at the end of the game too. :V I beat Scarlet but I still need to get Walking Wake and Iron Leaves and then my Pokedex will be completed until they come out with more Pokemon.
  6. I highly suggest checking out daVinci Resolve. I currently use this software to edit my Youtube videos and it's free. There is a limit to what effects you can use on the free version, but I rarely use these effects. You can purchase a license for $295 if you want, and it's a one time fee too. It did take me a bit to get used to using it, but there's some great tutorials on Youtube to help you!
  7. I have a Sega Saturn, but honestly it's my least favorite Sega console. I was a die hard Sega kid growing up, and I love the Sega Genesis. I would have liked the Saturn if it had more Sonic titles. Sure there's Sonic Jam, but that's just ports of the Genesis titles. Sonic R is a racing game, which I would love to own someday to add to my collection but it's not a main Sonic title. Sonic 3D was just a graphically enhanced version of the Genesis title. Sonic Xtreme was going to be the main Sonic title, but due to development issues it never was finished. If you're into fighting games, the Saturn does have some decent titles. I highly suggest importing Japanese copies of games since the US copies are way too overpriced. I got lucky I found Sonic 3D cheap, I imported the Japanese version of Sonic Jam.
  8. When I was a kid, I really wanted a Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure until I played it at a Kmart kiosk when I was 10. For some reason I just couldn't get into the game at this time, but then five years later I got Sonic Adventure DX for the Gamecube and loved it. :V The dreamcast really is a cool console, it's not my favorite Sega console (that's the Genesis) but it's awesome. Many older Sonic fans used to browse various Sonic forums using the browser for the Dreamcast. xD It's a shame that Sega had already screwed themselves over with the 32X and Saturn that the Dreamcast didn't last long, not to mention the security for the console sucked so you could easily burn games to discs and that ultimately was the nail in the coffin. (The Saturn is my least favorite Sega console, seeing how the only brand new Sonic title we got on the platform was Sonic R...)
  9. If there's one platform that I don't like it has to be the Philip's CDI. I don't think there were really any games on the console that were decent, I know they were trying to be innovative at the time but it could have been much better. At least the 3DO had some decent games like Gex, and a port of Doom. As for the well known manufacturers, Nintendo's Virtual Boy has to be my least favorite handheld/console. I actually know a guy who loves the Virtual Boy and it's his favorite Nintendo console. :V
  10. My spouse has been enjoying the game, so much that they just started their third playthrough! They're a Slytherin so they picked Slytherin first, and just finished their play through as a Hufflepuff. Their currently playing as a Grifindor, so they're saving the best house for last IMO. 😛 I'm not too big into Harry potter, I enjoyed the films when they came out and I read the books when I was younger but it just never peaked my interest that much. I did have The Chamber of Secrets game for the GBA as a kid. xD
  11. I'm not really sure how well the game will run on your Chromebook. The mobile version will probably be your best bet, I highly doubt Bedrock edition will run that great on a Chromebook. Like others said, dual-booting with Linux may be your best bet. There's Lubuntu, which is a lightweight version of Ubuntu that you can try out.
  12. Cloud gaming is only good if you have a good internet connection. I think cloud gaming is terrible right now, but in the future it will be better as our internet speeds continue to increase. Where I live I can't rely on cloud based games, my connection just isn't that good. Just look at Stadia, it's dead now. I'm not sure how well Amazon's service, Luna does.
  13. I started playing Tomb Raider (1996) again though this time I'm playing the PC version instead of the Playstation version. There's not much difference, other than better graphics and the ability to save where ever you want instead of only saving when you find Save Crystals. I've been meaning to get some Tomb Raider Level Edits downloaded and playing a bunch of different TR mods.

    The Wii U

I got a Wii U brand new a few years after it was released. I though it was cool at the time, if someone in your family wanted to use the TV but you wanted to keep playing your game you could just play it via the gamepad. I just feel like it's name really made sales worse than they could have been. After the huge success of the Wii, it's a shame the Wii U couldn't be as good as it's predecessor.
  15. I hope they don't go down this route. I prefer physical media, but it is probably much cheaper to make all digital consoles. I am not only a gamer but I'm a collector and think it's cool to have physical media that you can see and fire up anytime you feel like it without needing a internet connection to play the game. (Unless the game makes you get online...)
  16. Those Genesis Atgames clones were terrible. They had poor sound emulation so it's no wonder why many people didn't like them nor bought them up. Thankfully Sega made two mini versions of the Genesis, though they can't play actual cartridges like the Shatgames consoles. Plus since these new ones offer better emulation, you can hack them and add your own games. I think you can even add different emulators too.
  17. I prefer horizontal but with my new tv I have to have my PS5 stand vertical otherwise it won't fit on my entertainment center. At least it has a stand, though with it's odd design it needs a stand otherwise it can't lay vertical. :V Even when I had an original PS2 model I never had it vertical, I always think consoles look better lying horizontal.
  18. Just the other day there have been rumors going around that Sony may be making a new portable console. With numerous PC companies making their own handhelds, it wouldn't surprise me if Sony wants to try their hand at the handheld market again. Though if they do so, hopefully they'll do something more with it unlike what they did with the Vita. I feel there was such missed potential with the Vita, Sony just didn't do anything really with it... I'm not sure how they can do things differently than other companies though...
  19. It depends on which game I am in the mood to play. I've got a PS5 as well as a gaming rig and a gaming laptop too. So if my spouse wishes to use the rig, I can just use our laptop or PS5. I also own a Switch and a Xbox One S, I want to eventually upgrade to a Series X at some point. My current gaming rig is a Acer Nitro N50-64 with 32 gigs of ram installed, a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400F with a GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. I also own older consoles too, so if I feel like playing a retro game without recording footage I'll fire up one of my other consoles. Right now I've got my PS2 hooked up on my other tv, with my PS5 and Switch hooked up to my main tv. I'm not biased when it comes to gaming. 😛
  20. I've never really been interested in Macbooks or Mac computers. My best friend growing up always favored Mac over PC, but she's recently made the switch to PC and doesn't bother with Apple products anymore. I think they're just too expensive, and honestly better suited for multimedia projects such as video editing and music producing. (Though honestly you can do pretty cool stuff on PC if you've got the tools to do so.) Plus most programs used to work on Sonic hacking is made with Windows and Linux in mind, not really Mac.
  21. Pokemon games have definitely become much easier these past two generations. I'm not just saying that because I've been playing since I was a kid and know the type matchups by heart, the last two generations automatically gave the player experience share and you can't even turn that feature off. In the older games, you'd have to train every single Pokemon in your party by switching them out until you obtained the experience share item. (Or experience all in the first generation games.) Not only that, but the old version of the experience share was a held item, meaning only one Pokemon could get extra experience and not you're entire party like in newer games. I get that I'm not the targeted audience of the games, they've always been targeted towards children but I remember struggling with the Gen 1, 2 and 3 games as a child. (I was 19 when I first played Gen 4 and I turned 20 the year Gen 5 came out so I was already a young adult during these generation releases...) Cynthia is a pain in the rear to beat, she's literally the only trainer I've struggled with recently while playing the Gen 4 remakes. I haven't played really much of the other Nintendo franchises, so I don't have much to say about them...
  22. I've been thinking about speed running either Generation 1 of Pokemon or maybe one of the Genesis Sonic titles. I probably will start with a glitchless run, especially since Sonic requires some pixel perfect skips to get zips to work. With Pokemon it's a lot more RNG manipulation and specifically following certain paths and catching specific Pokemon. I just don't really have too much time to practice speedrunning currently.
  23. I wonder if E3 is going to eventually come back? Probably not, seeing how the last time the event was held was in 2021 and it was online only. E3 had it's purpose when it first came out, but I feel that it's just not as cool as it once was. I remember being a teenager and always wanting to go to E3, but I just don't feel that thrilled by the event anymore. I knew once the major companies backed out it was going to be canceled. You can't have a successful event if major companies like Nintendo aren't going to be there.
  24. My main favorite thing about the Xbox line of consoles is the backwards compatibility function. Plus I love Game pass, and honestly I feel that PS+ isn't as good as Game Pass. I don't know if the Xbox line of consoles will be around next generation though, since Game Pass is available on PC now and it seems to have affected console sales. I do love that Microsoft allows it's users to use dev mode to add their own games and emulators to the system. (Though I think recently there was a legal issue with Nintendo on that and I'm not sure if emulators are still easily accessible on the Series X...)
  25. I highly doubt the PS5 is going to be Sony's last console. They've always have higher sales than the Xbox, so if anything Microsoft may drop their consoles in the future. Sony does extremely well in Japan, in fact the PS5 outsold the Switch there which is huge! Nintendo consoles always come up on top mostly in Japan. The console market is huge, and yes many people prefer to game on their PCs these days but there are still die hard fans who stick to the Playstation brand over everything else.
