Charles from RDR2. He doesn’t tolerate any form of bullshit. He has a personal honor code that he sticks to religiously. He doesn’t kill, steal, or rob if he doesn’t have to. He has massive respect for animal life. He would rather kill a man than needlessly ir pointlessly kill an animal. I resonate with that. I will run off in the ditch and total my car to avoid hitting a squirrel. As long as it runs away unharmed, then it was worth it. The squirrels life is worth more than mine. That applies to all nonhuman life. Their lives are worth more than mine. I believe that with every fiber of my being.

Why do so many video games feature tragic endings?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Maybe they’re thinking the same thing as me. I’m sick to death of the fucking protagonist always winning and getting what they want. Kill the bastard off in the end. PLEASE!!!! -
Is there a video game title you would change if you could?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The Legend Of Zelda. She only has a small cameo in the story. The Legend Of Link would be much better. Or at least something that replaced Zelda with Link, especially when it doesn’t even take place in Hyrule. Such as Majoras Mask and Links Awakening. -
I was meaning the story of the particular individual.

A drunk father, an uninvolved mother, a delinquent 10 year old son, an 8 year old feminist daughter with an IQ of 108, and a baby that wanders around falling and sucking its pacifier non stop. Yeah, everyone can relate to that.

I use a Roku as both my PC monitor and my gaming TV. I might be willing to help if OP has intentions of contributing to the forum. I concur with @Shagger on this one though. Signing up on a gaming forum looking for help with a TV remote makes no sense.

Sorry for what? Pushing the asshole in front of a car? Shooting back at the asshole? Standing up for yourself because no one else will? The only valid “sorry” in those situations is making those people sorry they got up that morning. Or better yet, sorry they were even born.

Where do you stand politically?
The Blackangel replied to Jaicee's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
I was taught roman catholicism. So I know where you’re coming from. In a nutshell, Satanism is a different form of atheism. People tend to convince themselves otherwise, but there are many TST members who practice other beliefs with Satanism. We’re the first truly unified Satanic organization in the United States. The Church of Satan is much older, but is as loose as it gets. They worship hierarchy and elitism. They’re posers that have no clue what Satanism is even about anymore. -

If you have any questions just ask. I'm not spokesperson for TST, that's Lucien. But, if I can, I'll answer any you have. I can't remember if I have posted them anywhere before, but here are the 7 tenets of TST, and here's the website. The Satanic Temple 1) One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason. 2) The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions. 3) One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone. 4) The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own. 5) Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs. 6) People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused. 7) Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word. -

If anyone has said you're anti-transgender I have to agree with them. You're extremely narrow minded, and often close minded. Just because you have a friend who struggled with their gender identity doesn't mean that either of you know the true struggle that transgender people face. Not to be insulting but, the both of you are completely ignorant of transgender issues. You're an outsider looking in with tunnel vision. From that standpoint you can't see everything that's inside, because you have chosen to limit your vision. It's really pathetic that you're bitching about a people that you don't even know, and haven't even truly met. Whining and claiming that transgender people are pushing lesbians out so they can come in is an extremely bigoted statement. You and I will disagree on many things, but I will still respect your right to believe what you believe. The fourth tenet of TST states: IV - The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own. -
I am so sick of happy endings I could puke. I want the protagonist to lose in some way. Kill them off and replace them with someone else. If they would kill off the entire Van Der Linde gang in RDR2 and make me play as an agent for the Pinkerton agency, or a member of the O'Driscoll gang, that would be amazing. If Mario could lose to Bowser and make me play as one of the Koopa kids. If link could lose to Ganondorf and I become one of his monsters. If Squall was turned by whatever means and started to serve Ultimecia, and killed off his former comrades. I DON'T CARE WHAT, JUST GIVE ME SOME-FUCKING-THING ELSE

What gaming franchise do you hope lasts forever?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I do have to agree. Too many sequels can ruin a franchise. The Friday The 13th movie franchise is a prime example of that. And games are no exception. A few sequels can be great. It can be a genius idea, if it mixes it up. Look at the 3 Mario games on NES. SMB3 spawned more than just one of the most popular and best selling games in gaming history. But if you look at all the Mario games since, they're not much to be proud of. With GoW, I would like to see them go back to their original formula, as I didn't really like the newest one on PS4. It just didn't feel like a GoW game to me. Chains Of Olympus was always my favorite in the series. I wish I could get it on Switch, but PlayStation is as likely to release it as Nintendo is to release Zelda again. -
I've seen that, but I don't really count those as being games that never died. That's a whole different category. People playing Zelda Ocarina with never collecting a single rupee, or getting through the first Zelda without a sword. Others going through Zelda A Link To The Past in under 5 minutes. Sorry about only listing Zelda games, they're just the only ones I could think of at the moment for, IMO, "Weird" play through ideas.

As someone who has to deal with the issues Senua faces, I connected with this game on more levels than just her mental issues. I initially heard about it from your brother @Shagger and got very emotional. Since getting it, I have had to stop many times to cry. But it's more than worth it.

That's a hard one for me. Being an almost exclusively classic gamer, I really don't know. Very few people still play an NES or SNES. The vast majority of gamers today have never actually seen one in person, let alone played one. The flashback shit doesn't count. I could easily point to a franchise or two, but that's not what the question was. But from outside observation, I would have to say the earlier GTA like San Andreas. Was that before or after GTA IV? Or was there no GTA titled GTA IV? They have released so many variations of the titles that I just can't keep up with it. Games that I hold no interest in typically end up in that bucket. I doubt remakes/remasters and ports are viable answers, as they spring up a whole new audience, which often includes people who had no knowledge of the initial release of said game. FF8 for example was released before many of the members here were even born. They may have never heard of it until the remaster was released. I think I'm rambling again, so I'll stop now.

The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I would like to see God Of War last for the foreseeable future. I love that series. There's a couple other franchises that I love also, but feel they have run their course. Zelda and Mario take the front seat on that. -
In no particular order, my top 5: 1) Blaster Master (NES) 2) RDR2 (PS4) 3) FF8 (PS1/Switch) 4) Tell Me Why (Xbox One) 5) Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (Switch)

As far as bacon goes, GIVE ME PORK. If it's some other kind of meat sliced as bacon someone is getting a fork in the throat.

100 Days of Biden: My Coveted Thoughts
The Blackangel replied to Jaicee's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Very well said. I'm a liberal Democrat, and honestly I can't find anything in your post that isn't true. You spoke in an unbiased manner (thank you for that), and gave links to your sources instead of just spouting a bunch of "facts", as most do, without anything to back it up. There are a few truths that I don't like, such as republiKKKlans winning either or both chambers of congress in the midterms, but such is life. We live in a society that has extremists up and down both sides. The events of January 6th however, showed how bad things can get if the extremists are delusional enough. The events of 1860-1864 did the same as well, but on a larger scale. We have to fight to NOT let those things happen again. And if that means imprisoning a large part of one demographic or another, then so be it. We have to try to protect this country, before we're not a nation anymore. Things have been bad for decades. We have had those in power who have honestly tried to improve things. And we have had those in power who didn't give a shit and were literally just on a power trip. If we could just get people in power who were in it, not for the power, but for the power to affect progressive and positive change, then we could end up in a golden era. I personally tell everyone that former President Barack Obama was the greatest President our country has ever had. If I had been able, I would have repealed the 22nd amendment and we would be a monarchy under His and Her highness King and Queen Obama. But I'm just a woman at her keyboard. I saw what Biden was like as Vice President. I knew he would be a great President if he was to run at any time in the future. And in the past 100 days, I have been right. And the fact that we have our first female in the in the Presidential seat chart, and one of color at that, is a sign of progress. It's always been First Lady. Second Lady. Now we have Madam Vice President and Second Gentleman. I know I thanked you for your unbiased post, but that is something I'm typically not able to do. So look down on me for that flaw if you want to. I don't have the power to control opinions, nor do I want it.
