  1. When you say something that's in agreement with something an animated Disney villain from the 1970's said, that's already a worry... But even without that, what you just said is actually quite sexist even if it were true. At least in the world of Robin Hood it makes some sense because it's the middle ages and like it or not the gender roles were what they were, but for TLOU it doesn't make sense at all. Throughout history woman have been robbing people, it's not a gender specific profession. Spoilers Ahead I remember Henry said something about how the hunters in Pittsburgh "Didn't keep woman and kids around", and then there's the thing @Crazycrab mentioned about David's town of cannibals. Between those two area's, the Soldiers in Boston (many of them are female if I remember correctly), Robert's goons and the Fireflies at the end, that's pretty much all the human's you fight in the game. You're probably right @StaceyPowers, TLOU is a bit bit of a sausage-fest, but there is some logic to it. The second game was a lot better in this regard, though.

  2. A lot of games these days are getting to the point where photorealism is close to the real thing. But, most games you can still tell they're games. But, what if we ever get to a point where video games are so photorealistic, that it causes people to believe it's real. I can't wait to play games that are photorealistic. But, then again, idk. It may be too uncanny to play something that looks so real. Especially if it involves combat, guns and stuff. Imagine horror games, my goodness that'd up the fear factor for sure.

  3. Drunken fist martial artists are the most dangerous as they have no fear of anything and no concept of mercy in a drunken state.

  4. Mine would probably be Bard, and not the kind everyone wants in their MMO that does vIaBlE damage and buffing. I mean the kind that only writes uplifting verse and likes to be well-read upon lore of a subject. Playing bass guitar (however badly) also helps with the class image. I am essentially a walking version of the Bless spell. Go me. In D&D 5th Edition there is such a subclass for the Monk named 'the Way of the Drunken Master', which obviously comes from its inspiration back in 2nd Edition, the film of the same name. There's also Brewmaster Monks in Warcraft. That style is one of my favourites, but alas, I don't drink myself (though I do stumble because I've got two left feet.)

  5. @m76 I don't know if you have ever worked at Amazon, I have and I can assure you the attitude they displayed here is concurrent with their attitude in general. They treat people like condoms, use em then throw em away. To tell the truth, that doesn't even really bother me. It would piss me off greatly if I was working there and had a weekend job at a Just-Eat Kabab Takeaway and they told me they deserve some of the money from that, because I was a delivery driver. They obviously don't and I explained why already. I know your not stupid, but you've clearly got your nose to covered in brown to see the truth. These corporations don't give a fly-fishing fuck about about anybody that works for them.

  6. Seeing as how cats hold meetings to plot our deaths, I'll take the cat with the dogs personality. At least they would refuse the conference.

  7. The word "thrill" is one of the few words that is completely open to interpretation. For me a thrill is a hike in the woods. Or sitting under a tree and listening to the sounds of nature with a light breeze blowing over me. But I see what you're question is asking, so I would say that some of the stunts I've done while snowboarding might count. Inverted corkscrews is one of the more dangerous. 1080's take a good amount of airtime, strength, and speed. Backflips are surprisingly simple. I've raced 4 wheelers. The pic below is mine and the kind I raced. I'm also a paranormal investigator, which can be rather heart pounding at times.

  8. Personally, I think that those old magazines are more unique to behold today.

  9. Exactly, it's actually why I love how conversation flows here with no much beef and misunderstanding unlike other forums.

  10. There are plenty of active gaming communities but you won't find one that's non-toxic and as helpful as VGR. I've been on quite a few and this is the first place where everyone for the most part gets along or at least acts civil towards each other. I've even seen forum members get doxxed by the moderator before in another community just because they had an opposing view.

  11. Although I'm well aware of the fact that a lot of people now make use of the social media Instagram, it seems like I would have to try connecting with gamers through it.

  12. Totally agree - I serve the greater good but I don't do things by the book. I personally prefer to deal out my own brand of justice.

  13. Chaotic good I only respect laws as long as I agree with them morally. And if someone does me wrong, or someone else I feel protective of, then all bets are off.

  14. Haha, you actually race when you play Rocket League football literally 😂. It's actually why I use the term for it in some context because it's a vehicular sport.

  15. Rocket League is a game that you play as in a League on a football field, why you think it's racing 😛 I say get your ETS or ATS out in your truck or even mods and have truck races 😛 Why not if you point your minde into it 😛

  17. Either way, I just hope not. Photorealism would only take away the reason of playing a video game. It's supposed to be an escape, not a tryout for the KC Chiefs, or entry into the Indy 500. It's supposed to teleport us somewhere that the most advanced weapons are swords and bows. It just removes all enjoyment to me. If it's going to do that, then it may as well all be moved strictly to competitions. It's no longer enjoyment anyway. Because by that time, they won't be worried about making a good entertaining game. They'll only be worried about the graphics of the shit game they're about to release. Photorealism will be the downfall of gaming.

  18. As Ubisoft once said, women are harder to animate... Joking aside, I think that's a good question. To be honest, I can't remember a lot of the enemy characters in TLOU because a lot of them looked the same. Not to excuse the lack of ladies though.
