Yeah... I think @Shagger has just explained eloquently why 2nd person perspective is something that can't really work in a game. Similar ideas exist like switching to and from the perspective of different characters or playing in co-operative with someone but I think that's about as close as you can realistically get.

Sorry but you're wrong. Modern games, even massive, system hungry, full boar and roar, AAA budget, open world, high graphical fidelity games in truth... don't use anything close to that much system RAM. In case you don't believe me this is a this a screenshot I just took of resource manager while playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I will point that I was playing on Ultra at 1440p and I was in game, not in the menu or anything: The reason for this as I've tried to explain before is the game engines much prefer to use the VRAM on the card, NOT the system RAM on the motherboard whenever possible. It's faster, easier to access and that is exactly what the developers design their games to do (if they are optimising their games properly that is) because the system RAM is used for system tasks such as the OS and desktop apps like Chrome in my case. Results will vary and it depends largely on how much VRAM is on your particular graphics card. I still maintain that 16Gb is better to play it safe, which is what I have and you might have noticed I'm using more than half with both AC and Chrome running. But for lower tier setups I still think 8Gb will play most modern games fine.

That's not an issue with bad design, that's just just somthing you can't do with a fucking keyboard! Does the fact that you can't take the kids to school in Lewis Hamilton's F1 Mercedes mean it's a bad design? No of course not, It's a little thing called fit for purpose. I also would not use a controller for an RTS game live Total War or Command and Conquer because that is not fit for that purpose. I know you'll just simply refuse to admit because that's what all fanbus do but having full control of the direction of both the speed and direction of your character's lateral movement is important for stealth mechanics. It's not important in something like say Borderland where you run, strafe, duck and gun so for I that i prefer mouse and keyboard. At the end of the day however…. NONE of this shit really matters. I’m not going to look down on someone who prefers to play borderland with a controller saying “A mouse is more precise you know”. Nor am I going to prick at someone who is using a mouse and Keyboard to play Assassin’s Creed saying “You know you could sneak around better if you were using a thumbstick” because it’s not my business or concern. They bought their fucking game so they can enjoying using whatever the fuck they want, that’s why on both console and PC in particular we have options So it’s not an “unpopular Opinion” It’s just ri-god-damn-diculous.

Your talking crap. I play Skyrim on PC with a controller and using the console all the time with no issues. I hate using the keyboard because your character only has two speeds, barely move or full sprint which us really annoying when you stealth builds which is what I tend to do.

Are you kidding! Steam is a good damn free for all, the wild west! Literally anybody can pay the $100 or whatever entrance fee and start selling software on Steam. This (unsurprisingly) results in a lot of issues with asset flippers an con artists that only get addressed when enough people shine a light on it. Not to mention they take a bigger cut than Epic do and there is practically zero quality control.

I mentioned in the other thread that it makes no difference to me whether a game is in 1st or 3rd person perspective. All that matters is that the game is properly designed around whatever perspective the devs have chosen to go with. There are plenty of shooters that play just as well in 3rd person (Fortnite, Gears of War, Uncharted) as others do in 1st (Call of Duty, Titanfall, Borderlands). Likewise there are plenty of action/RPG games that are just as good with a 1st person (Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Mirror's Edge, Fallout, Elder Scrolls) perspective as others are in 3rd (Assassins Creed, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragon Age). When the game is well designed the perspective is irrelevant.

That's becuase Razor heavilly sponsor streamers and ESports teams. Don't get wrong their products are good but it's like buying an Aston Martin when a there is a Jaguar has exactly the same performance for half the price. The only reason they charge more is because they can.

It depends on the game but the truth is most use the VRAM on the video card rather that system RAM. With that being said I do think that 16Gb is a minimum for a gaming PC these days.

The TV Licence is archaic bullshit. It should be a subscription service that is opt in, NOT opt out. They could easily monetize it in a way similar to Netflix or a premium TV service like Sky and simple cut off the service for non payment but no. They would rather treat innocent people like criminals and harass people with threatening letters and investigators knocking on your door. Not to mention a colour TV Licence costs as much as Netflix and Amazon Prime combined, for Strictly Come Dancing and tired ass soap operas. No bloody thank you!

You post an A.M.A when nobody on the forum even asked you or your company any questions then ask, in response, if this is something that happens often on this forum as if it's some kind of excuse? FUCK OFF! Just to let you know spamming has been a problem as if late and many of us are sick of it. To tell the truth, the game actually looks pretty decent. But you need to make a meaningful contribution to the community before pushing it like this.

I wouldn't recommend trying to load your games from an external drive. The load times will be slow and files can easily become corrupted if there is s connection issue.

There are several of us that are willing including some that have experience. It's ultimately DC's desicion and I respect that.

Your right, and that is another thing that is currently under discussion. Right now @DC moderates the forum pretty much by himself and he does it well... but he obviously can't monitor it 24 hours a day so a lot of BS slips through the cracks.

I think that runs the risk of our already rampant spamming problems even worse.

There is one major problem with a Silent Hill Remake...

That (as near a makes no difference) $120,000 is divided among a list of multiple tier prizes, not just XBox Series X with HALO Infinite bundles. Even that price is based of "play it safe" estimates that pre-date any official announcement. So basing the price of the XBox Series X on this is woefully misguided.
