StaceyPowers Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 In another thread, @The Blackangel mentioned finding first person problematic with respect to enemies sneaking up from behind. I don't mind being sneaked up on though. How does everyone here feel about it?
The Blackangel Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Enraged. It’s bullshit being attacked with no way to defend yourself because there was no slight indication of an oncoming attack.
Reality vs Adventure Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 As long as I'm not picking up a bar of soap I'm fine. But it does add scare factor in horror games. killamch89 and StaceyPowers 2
m76 Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 You should always check your six. If you can be snuck up on it's entirely your own fault.
Empire Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 I do it all the time, I try and knife them to death 😛 Well in CSGO it's fast movments and you have to act fast and at times I see them walk pass me then I knife them in the back. It's funny watching the replay of them dying.
Patrik Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 This reminds me on Resident Evil 4, the chainsaw guy in the abandoned cabins, he used to give me lot of jumpscares lol, but that's not cool at all as he keeps changing spawn points so it's hard to predict his place StaceyPowers 1

I love that trick.

Kane99 Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 I don't have a problem with it. It's just part of gaming. If anything, it's more immersive when you're in first person vs something like third person. Because the risks aren't always known to you. For me, it makes me feel like I'm in the game. If an enemy comes behind me, than so be it, I just have to be careful and keep an eye out for what's going on behind me in game as well.
killamch89 Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 It's not really much of an issue to me because it's part of any game and besides, you're supposed to be watching your surroundings all the time in games. You can't be made at enemies exploiting such an ancient tactic and actually catching you off guard with it.

I actually sneak on my opponents too and it's so cool taking them out without them knowing what hit but being on the receiving end sucks 😂.
Shole Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 It is what they should do. It's up to the player to see and react, to always check behind. That's the fun of a game where you have a constant fear of someone just hitting you from behind.
Heatman Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Exactly, it's actually fun to be because it means that you need to be very alert of your surroundings in order to see your foes when they are coming.
Demon_skeith Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Depends on how much the BS is the sneak up... I'm looking at you shadow hand from Legend of Zelda!
