  1. And I thought the Stupids were just movie characters. My brain hurts.

  2. Well well well, looks like Sony is going to be making their own version of gamepass, and they're saying it could include PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games. The service is codenamed Spartacus, and is said to be coming for both PS4 and PS5. If this turns out to be true, that would be big for Sony. Gamepass has been huge for Xbox and if Sony can replicate that, it could mean Sony can undercut into that market. What do you think of this? If they can make all PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP games work on this, that would be a huge system seller right there. You can read more about this news at the link below. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/playstation-planning-a-game-pass-competitor-subscription-service-called-spartacus-report/1100-6498580/

  3. To add to what I said earlier - Spartacus isn't even anything new. It's basically a merger of PS Plus and PS Now - it doesn't sound like they'll add anything new.

  4. Small update bro - so it looks like there's going to be another service coming out next spring called Spartacus. Sony are going to merge PS Plus and PS Now to form this new Gamepass service.

  5. Having experienced both Resident Evil gaming community and Fortnite gaming community, I'd pick RE community because there is nothing good to write home about Fortnite fan boys.

  6. Some RE fans that I know, are highly hypocritical. In fact, the RE community is in my opinion, one of the worst online for backbiting and squabbles. Not that you guys are bad. But basically, I know this one guy, who is named twitter handle removed by mod on Twitter. About 4 years ago, this guy was renowned on YouTube for his angry rants on Capcom. He was mad that Capcom chose not to hire Alyson Court to reprise her role as Claire Redfield, for what ended up being a half-baked, development hell piece of crud, RE2 "remake" (more like a piss take). Apart from that, he said that Shinji Mikami should buy the rights to his creation. Yet it is Capcom's IP. 🙄 Anyway, he kept saying he would not purchase the game, prior to the actual annoucement at E3 in 2018. He even referred to RE7 supporters as being sell-outs. Although he did admit later on that there was things he said because he was upset, and it seems now every week or so, he posts crap on his community tab that he soon deletes, about his absence or lack of new content being linked to his mental health issues. Like, seriously. Why not just make one post about it instead of saying this every week? It makes somebody look like they're just looking for attention. He also said really stupid things like, "Capcom changed the series because his followers 'sent' Capcom his videos!" In your dreams, dude. 😪 Now he gets interviews on his channel with a lot of the people who did voice work in the older games, just because I told him during one of his ego trips that nobody involved with Capcom knew who he was. Kudos to him. But honestly, he is now another lapdog for Capcom, with a channel that has seen better days. So all that stuff he said years ago (in now deleted videos) didn't hold water. Plus, he gave the new RE movie 10/10 (even though I'm certain that 98% of the fanboys hate it) and acts all optimistic, and whatnot. I'm not convinced he changed his tune because he truly believes he means what he says. He changed because other YouTubers mocked him and goaded him into being like they are, so he took on board their criticism. After I defended him, he ended up siding with the people who were previously against him. And I'm not like that at all. I've always believed that rather than going with the flow, you should just be honest about your thoughts on a franchise you support, and not make excuses for a terrible entry, just because you think everybody else will get on their high horse if you're seen as the odd one out. 😐 But I find this is funny...

  7. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has been an online game that I have been playing for a while now over the past month and it's quite interesting.

  9. The owner of Dallas Mavericks basketball team bought a town called Mustang which has only 23 people and 77 acres. I know, rich people can buy a ticket to Heaven and all that, but it got me thinking about how it's possible to own a town. What would you do with a town that size? What attractions or businesses would you bring there? What vibe, architecture, culture do you want it to look and feel like? Would you want it to grow or stay small?

  11. As @Shagger and others have said, it's best to build/buy a future-proof PC. At the moment, I'd recommend going the gaming laptop or prebuilt PC route and doing lots of research is key with these, as you'll have to part with a good chunk of money. Eluktronics and XoticPC are two that I can recommend as I have friends who've bought machines from both and get great support years after the original purchase. Plus, their pre-built PCs are customizable (it'll cost extra but you can make the upgrades you want).

    Minor Forum Changes

I am looking for feedback on recent forum changes. I moved the "Platforms" section higher-up on the forum and lowered Video Game Deals and Esports & Competitive Gaming. This decision came quite easy because the Platforms section is more active and thus should be prioritized. I added a Virtual Reality sub-section under Platforms for all VR talk. I added a Technology & Gadgets sub-section to General Chat. I am considering reworking some of the forums under the "VGR Community" as well but I first want to know how the above changes are perceived by the community.

  14. It was only a matter of time before one of these companies came up with something so stupid that it ends up killing off most of the human population. It's incredible the amount of creativity humans put into destroying life on Earth instead of allowing it to thrive.

  15. Actually, they already do with PS Now. It is actually has larger library, games can be downloaded on console now and a standard subscription is about the price. The only real drawback is the that's it streaming only on PC unlike Gamepads. I wouldn't blame anyone for not knowing this because Sony for whatever reason have barely put a squirt of piss of into marketing it. I'm guessing that they don't feel like they need to push it and can make more money of their exclusive titles by leaving them purchasable at retail for a few months. Then only shoving them onto the PS Now library when the sales have peaked, unlike XBox which put their big titles onto Game pass streight away. For now at least they might even be right, but I, but as Game Pass gains more traction they are going to have to push it more in the future.

  19. I suppose it comes with the territory, but then it also begs the question for another, much bigger discussion: what makes someone a completionist? Is it on a per-game basis, or is there a measure of what makes a person a completionist, and to what extent will someone go to 'complete' something? To give you some examples of when I'd done something for completion's sakes, my favourite game of 2020 was Vakyria Chronicles. I used a cheat engine on the third or so mission because I found the game too tough, but the story, music, and art style to be so impressive. I then decided to use the cheat engine to get all of the content done, including non-achievement stuff which I only wanted initially. It's a game I will forever kick myself for cheating at, but the guilt is bittersweet because I enjoyed the game so much that it was worth every minute. Another time I did something for completion's sake was Insane in the Membrane in World of Warcraft. I wrote all about that on this here forum, so no need to repeat too much of that. But I found a love for something I previously never saw any sense in, and now lament that there's no more reasonable grind in the game.

  20. I think it's something that really depends on the type of game, and both systems can work well depending on the situation. Regenerating health doesn't necessarily mean that the game is easier and I feel that it can make combat more dynamic at times, but having to heal also adds some thrill to it, especially when you have to manage resources.

  21. That's just the NES, SNES, and N64 games. I don't have any of my PlayStation games down there or any of my Xbox games down there. I don't have my Sega, Atari, or Game Boy games down there. I know one bin says Game Boy on it, but that's just accessories. All my Switch games are in a case, most of which are DDL's. As a matter of fact I have 116 DDL's on my Switch. But I have in total over 1000 games in my collection, spanning several systems. Some that are somewhat rare like Ducktales 2 and TMNT Tournament Fighters on NES. I also have Secret Of Mana on SNES. I'm saving what up and plan on getting a quality authentic copy of Little Samson when I can afford it. If I ever decide I want to play it, I'll get a repro. It's been steadily growing over the last 20 or so years. But needless to say, my collection is enormous.

  22. I don't think the fans are frustrated with this Santa Claws skin instead of being focused on the fact the game is broken, I suspect that they are frustrated with this Santa Claws skin because the game is broken. Instead of sorting this out, EA and DICE are coming out with nonsense DLC/microtransactions like this. I don't blame the fans for blowing up about this.

  24. To my knowledge, what happened was that the team working on the remaster, didn't have the final source code, so they had to work with a previous build of the game and go from there. Which meant that a lot of the game didn't have the fog cover that helped cover up its imperfections and there was other issues present. Oh and the final source code they needed, was lost I heard. Check out the video Matt McMuscles did about the making of the HD collection. It goes into details about what happened and why.

  25. I know the X360 version of the HD remasters were pretty poor and never patched, but I believe the PS3 versions were marginally better..? ..and should anyone be interested in seeing just how bad they were, you're in for a treat.. 😜 Note that the PS3 versions did receive a patch after these videos were posted, but I'm unsure on exactly how much improvement there was.

It's just like most of the football manager games that I have played and also the game Top Eleven Football Manager, even if I stay 20 years and get back to it, I would still play it very well like I never left.

The reason is because you've played the game severally in the past and master the key points in the game where to aim perfect and down enemies. So, it will be hard for what you know about the game to escape your memory.

That is actually true because the more you get to play a particular game for a very long time you are always going to get more into it than the other games that you don't play for too long.

If you are that good with playing a particular video game, even if you stay one year off the game, you will still be used to it.

  31. I highly doubt that you will need and 8GB graphics card to run this game, especially considering that Bethesda are still using the creation engine for Starfield. If you're serious about building a new PC, building it with a certain game in mind would be mistake, it's the wrong reason to do it. Think about how future proof you want the system to be within a certain budget. You will obviously want to think big to spend te next few years playing AAA titles at 4K, but you can build a PC that will play AAA games for a few years if you intend to play at 1080p or 1440p.

  32. Such kind of specs will be kinda expensive. I only priced PC version of 8 RAMS Microsoft PC, with 500GB internal storage. But, the price is valued at $250 for fairly used not new one.

  33. Most of the time 4GB Graphics and 32 GB RAM fixes most of the issues. But you never know as some games are kind of heavy.

  36. What do you mean? It's an offline game, or it was "back in the day". In all seriousness I was never that big a fan but I could see it's appeal. Now though, mutch like FIFA and Madden, it's just an increasing experiment on how much EA can push their greed.

    Fortnite in 2021

Haven't touched it for a while now. I loved Fortnite when the game first came out but they messed up the game after it became really, really popular. The biggest problem for me was that they added too much marketing into the game. All the in-game events were cool when they were original and unique.
