  1. Herro :D, You guys can call me EOS or Gabe, I've been digging around online trying to find some decent forums / conversations outside of Reddit , twitter, and happened to dig into the Google rabbit hole enough to find VGR. Hoping to have some good conversations and get to know fellow nerds like myself. Some things about myself to break the ice and hopefully connect are: Been a die hard gamer since before internet came on a disk and the only emojis in a chat room were of the "XD", "^.^", " :D", ":P" ":'(" style haha. The game I've spent the most time on has to be Runescape, started playing around 2004 on and off for about 17 years. Would say WoW , Diablo, Path of Exile, Dark Souls all follow behind but were equally as addicting in their own ways. In terms of none MMORPG's Spyro the Dragon, MegaMan, GTA < the PS1 and PS2 versions , Sims, Age of Empires, RollerCoasterTycoon dominated my gaming life before internet gaming took over. Chances are there's a few titles I've played that could be listed but the above are what shaped my preferences in gaming today. Would love to hear about anyone that wants to chat so feel free to say hello and break the ice with us ❤️ Hope everyone has a rocking weekend, EOS

  4. Cooking standards vary wildly all over the planet. This may be the norm and totally acceptable in India. Hell, things like that are done here in the states in some locations. I know when I worked at Pizza Hut, we weren't required to wear gloves or anything. We used our bare hands to make the pizzas. A lot of mom & pop restaurants are like that too. It is what it is. But at least the guy in the video is using his right hand to cook and leaving his left hand away from the food.

  5. Goofy graphic style don't seem to date even in this year, seriously thats fantastic. The levels are always a fun adventure that can't be miss. Insomniacs classic series went in a bang that left a nice footprint that can't be removed. I'm glad I played this.

  6. The skateboard would've been in the third game, Year of the Dragon, but yes I remember that same love for it. I rate the games as thus: the first is the most replayable; the second is the best for refining the existing formula; the third is the most innovative, but I find one of the least replayable games because of its use of cutscenes, alternate characters, greater emphasis on minigames and greater difficulty. The first one, as you go on to say, is the one I play the most for its humble nature. It lets you go through the levels seamlessly and wastes no time. When I was waiting on my PC to be repaired, this was the game I played on the console itself rather than an emulator. Over, and over, and over. Got to 100% completion (sometimes completing the bonus level at the end), deleted my save and started over again. I'd probably completed it about 15-20 times before and after work whilst waiting for my PC to come home. Indeed. I recently did a Let's Play of the game wherein my main criticisms were the maps were too large and full of nothing, meaning you'd spend an extra 20-30 minutes trying to find any remaining dragon treasure/dragonflies, the enemy reaction times were stepped up (which is fine, given they've always been slow in previous games), and some of the minigames were flat out broken. I had to switch from the PS2 version to the GameCube version simply because a slide level didn't work and thus I couldn't get 100% completion. For anyone who would like to get into it, the GameCube version isn't as pretty but it's considerably less buggy (at least the GameCube version on the Dolphin emulator).

Ave This band of lunatics will give you no shortage of engaging discussions. There are a few people that could be something to worry about as we’re all crazier than the rest. But if you’re civil everyone else will be too. If someone is unduly an asshole, the staff is quick to nip it in the bud. In essence, we’re always welcoming to new members, so I’m sure you will make some good friends here. Ave

  10. When dealing with a tedious/challenging puzzle in a game, how long do you struggle to solve it on your own before you give up and look up the solution online? To be honest, I sometimes give up in mere minutes, especially if it is in a game where I did not sign up to solve puzzles.

    Spyro the Dragon

Haven't thought about this game title in years but after replying to a fest post it popped into my head xD Did anyone ever get addicted to this game back on the PS1? I remember spending countless days playing this over and over again, just the skateboard, the fairy and riding around with that awesome music kept my little undeveloped brain attached to the screen. Probably one of my favorite games of all time do to its humble nature. If you have any games that gave you a similar feeling please do share. EOS

  14. I loved the Stick of thruth, its one of those games that despite the controversy ( Zombie Fetus Baby Nazi Boss Fight...) was an incredible fun game, it really didnt hold back on the jokes. The Fractured But Whole on the other hand really does underperform. I played the game before and never really finished it and called it trash, but the game deserved a second chance. Its a good game, but thats just it... I liked the new chess based gameplay mode, it really allowed for some good strategy thinking. This time around they introduced a lot of RPG mechanics like crafting, skill equipment and more status effects. While I got a few jokes here and there this sequel is very toned down, I mean it still has a lot of good old South park jokes but it feels like the game relies a lot on fan service, The stick of truth also had a lot of fan service but it also had a bunch of original jokes. There were some jokes I was not expecting like the Lap Dance mini game or the Yolanda costume xD but stuff that were supposed to be epic like the Drunk Randy boss fight or the were ultimately dissapointing and boring Also since the game was made by Ubisoft it fall under the curse of microtransactions, expansions and club rewards. There are some funny sidequests but some are just tedius. My advise if you want a good South Park game play Stick of Thruth , if you feel that the Stick of Thruth wasnt enough then get the Fractured But Whole. Veredict of a potato....8/10

  15. The title says it all, if you were a super hero what would be your sad or dark back story? Quoting South Park the Fractured But Whole, "He was traumatized and become a hero because his dad fucked his mom" xD My back story as a small spud a rabid squirrell ate the other potatoes at my garden, therefore I became Super King Monarch Supreme Lord All Mighty Overpowered Brazzers actor Humble Warrior Beer Champion Potato and now every time I see a squirrel at the street I throw my loose change at them

    General Gaming Discussion

Yeah most people couldn't afford it. For some people that's the price of a brand new car or something. This is probably meant for people who have money they can throw away lol. Yeah, I guess there's more to it than that. There are sensors all throughout and I guess the floor simulates you walking, so that alone has got to cost a bunch.

Haha thanks for the breakdown of the social ecosystem 😄 Already enjoying the forum as well but I turned down the great offer of entering the political area <> cough<> Spyro op XD I think I've already found my way to the Youtube Channel Haha many years into this beautiful thing I like to call digital crack xD so yes a digital crack catalogue it is. LOL when you had to actually type a specific face to get the emojicon to appear and if you knew all the codes you were king of the chat room. I remember sneaking onto the computer late at night and joining my pops chat rooms acting like a grown man. It's actually where I learned the word tantalizing as well other useless words unless you're trying to be a fancy troll xD. I still use XD and ^.^ and people I meet always ask what it means especially here where I live in Asia... I'm like its clearly a cross eyed open mouthed smileeeeeeeeee. As the post below states the internet now is just forever scroll to find entertainment.. "Back in merrr dayy we had to go onto forums to find links to cool things to do, couldn't just google "how to burn 10 hours on the interweebnettttt" and be gifted unlimited dopamine xDDD Nah it was good times back then though glad I got to experience it as a kid. Oh probably 17 then so you're nearing 40 old laddddd. I did miss alot of the parts of the iceberg such as tumblr and 4chan, barely getting into reddit now but I wish I coulda experienced the trolls of 4chan at its peak. Thanks again everyone for the great welcomes and ice breakers ❤️ EOS

    Alone in the Dark

There's been a lot speculations on the game. Are they ready to make a move on it and not just talks and rumours? We would likely soon find. Personally, I'd like to see it happen because it's been a long time coming.

    Spyro the Dragon

If ever had Playstation 1 back in the days and never played Spyro The Dragon games, it means that you never had friends who were into gaming a lot, so you probably played all alone with what you can come across. It was one of the most popular games back then in my neighbourhood.

  20. LOL! If it weren't for my shooter games I'd likely be more aggressive at work. They kinda help calm me. I'm attached to an Animal Crossing character named Sherb. Does that mean I'm mental? Probably the reasoning behind the guy in the video is to make people think that video games cause everyone to be overweight. Not the case. And they have video games for exercising so that makes it pure choice. I feel like if people are going out and doing mass shootings it's because of their mental state prior to the video games as well as their own choices. I suffer from depression but that's not gonna make me go out and mass kill cuz I play Fortnite.

  23. If it doesn't add to the discussion, or follow the rules of the thread, you would be much better off not commenting. You have been doing better about this as of late, but you still continually post comments that completely ignore the thread topic. Either make a post that adds to the conversation, or don't reply and move on to another topic.

  26. There's gong to be very little difference in gaming performance, but ROG 5 is a better phone - Red Magic 6 is a spec beast for sure, but not as good at being a phone. Black Shark 4 is going to be the same, stick with the ROG 5 if it's in budget.

  27. In some ways no. Like gaming in general is unhealthy, physically and mentally, for me at least. If you're doing VR games with a decent amount of physical activity as a component my first guess is you are not getting enough exercise and general physical activity in your normal day to day life. Lack of exercise is for sure a major underlying problem in a lot of people with depression and anxiety.

    Spyro the Dragon

Thinking of this right now the only title that comes to my mind for the Spyro: the dragon series is Spyro: shadow legacy which I played in the early 2000's on the Nintendo DS. It's was pretty fun for as much as I can remember.

  29. I'm not prepared to say with finality that "it's fine" because it would really depend on your local laws and how well they're enforced, not to mention the minefield that copyright legislation is. Even in the UK where we have some of the more clear-cut rulings on emulation, it still requires a good read to understand. In terms of malware coming from ROMs that depends mostly on the site you get it from, and how good your antivirus is. Just because I've had no issues doesn't mean others don't or can't. Your best bet is to play them on the games on their original systems. It's not the end of the world if you can't. ^^

  30. I usually come across these sort of videos on Facebook, the food sometimes look interesting but the environment In which they are made and how they are made would discourage you from ever thinking about trying them out.

    This is pure bullshit

Whatever content that they put in there on the video lacks credibility because there's no way to prove anything. It's so frustrating that some people would take the so called information there hook, line and sinker without questioning them. We have a lot of gullible people lately!!

  32. I probably will... eventually. I no longer feel the need to get into the latest season immediately, especially when either in this game or at some other stage there's going to be a loss of progression from the previous games. Even when I was unemployed I didn't have the time to chase the Battle Pass. No, I'm focussing on my job and hoping that when the campaign comes down in price that'll be worth a go. It's doubtful. As I said in another thread it's just war crime pornography at this point. As @Kane99 says, the fatigue is real. Let it go the way of Guitar Hero for a few years.

  39. It's actually $49.99 on steam, The Digital Deluxe Edition on Playstation Store is $499.99, the standard Edition for $39.99 and the same thing for Xbox at $49.99. They are basically sold at the same price.

    How much money?

I'm living on a budget these days so I don't spend much on games period. It's why I tend to go for gamepass, because it gives me many options for a cheaper price. But even that, I've cut down on because I can't be spending money lately. Once my work picks up though, I might get gamepass again or buy some games even.

  41. In as much as PC is good I had a better experience playing on my ps4 and From what empire said about switch been strained with this game the PlayStation 4 has a much better performance and having a much wider TV screen would compensate for the fonts size as well.

  42. Hunting over here isn't really the same as in America, people who hunt here are usually the upper rich class who have there own private hunting territority don't know how it's in the rest of europe but my guess is other europeans here can relate to that hunting is a rich persons hobby. The only reason i can think of is why i keep getting these hunting games is for the exploration of the map. Hiking is my second passion besides video games and collecting and i feel like walking trough these maps would give me a sense of what an American or Australian national park looks like for example. Pretty much the same @Empire said above as i too wouldn't mind just exploring the map without the hunting. Makes me wonder does anybody remember the game Africa on ps3 where you have to photgraph animals? They should make something like this but with a national park setting instead.

    How old to start gaming?

Unless it's a good learning game like a coding to maths games then that fine, I was 12 when I was doing keyboard typing speeds games
    1 point
  45. Kane99

    How old to start gaming?

Depends on the game and how old the kid is. Personally I was gaming as young as 3 years old myself. My nephew for example was playing around that age, but more closely to age 5 or so. Once he knew the point of a video game, he was playing without problem. I never let my nephew play games online, as I know he wouldn't have been able to handle it. So I just let him play stuff from gamepass. He's 12 now anyway, so he's capable of gaming on his own. But I'd say 5-6 is a good age to get started on gaming. But I know some kids start earlier with their parents letting them play mobile games for example.

    Which would you pick?

Yeah, by the time I could afford to get a PS5 or a series x, I'll probably be 4-5 years into the generation, and by that point I'm sure there will be talks about a new console for each brand coming. They tend to do 5-10 year support for each new console that drops, so my guess is that it will result in me waiting for yet another new console to drop.
