There are a few contenders for me - CS:GO, RDR2, Rocket League, Skyrim.
CS:GO - it's ridiculously easy to get into and as a Counter Strike fan, I'll always love this game RDR2 - Loved the original game and this prequel is an improvement on it in every way - the story is excellent and you tend to sympathize with most of the characters when you hear their backstories. Rocket League - Easy game to get into and is pretty addictive if you aren't careful. Skyrim - For all its issues, it's still one of the best open-world games of all time in my opinion and especially when modded, the sky is the limit.

ANOTHER RE remake?!...Capcom is just milking this. I thoroughly enjoyed 2 and 3 Remake because it fixed the huge issues of the original game mechanics but I always feared they wouldn't stop there and here it is confirmed.

I wouldn't say its underrated either because a good portion of the RE fandom says it's the best game and to an extent, that is the case so its definitely not underrated.

NFS Heat and Elden Ring

I absolutely love it! Anya is such a precious kid and the fact that her adopted parents are spies and assassins makes it so interesting. Also interesting is the fact Yuri's brother is an officer looking for the MC but doesn't even know it's him.

I'm in my 30s and I still don't have a kid as yet but once I'm financially stable enough to support one. Then I'll discuss it with my partner.

It functions similarly to Xbox gamepass in that you're basically cloud gaming - at least, that's what it reminds me of. I can't say if they use the same technology or something different because I haven't really used it myself. @Crazycrab knows more about it or you can just Google it.

It's a coin toss for me because I'm not certain which one I'll buy either or maybe you could get lucky and end up with both. Now wouldn't that be great?

I think RE 4 was a solid experience - also it was the first one with the over the shoulder camera view instead of the traditional wonky camera angles and the story was very solid. Honestly, in a way it is the best game of the series to date not counting the remakes.

It still holds up relatively well in terms of graphics even though it was made 15 years ago - I'd go as far as to say EA peaked with Most Wanted because not a single NFS game that came out after was better than it.

Not exactly a game but, Rocksmith.  I might have inspired me to pick up a guitar years ago.

Nothing. Having access to a modern game would spoil me and I couldn't enjoy anything else until technology catches up.

9th is super easy, well. This day to day right now has to be microsoft flight simulator 2020, can't beat how good looking that simulator is compare to other game sout there. USing bing maps and whatnot. 

A game about Batman's universe without Batman, and even worse its a live service co op type of game. Im not saying the game itself will be bad (we dont know yet) but this is not what the people wants.

Graphically, I actually think SFV looks better but it could just be me though...

I always have fun when they add stuff like this, I just wished they added the lightsabers as an actual skin for the pickaxe, in game they are not really usefull, but the unlimited ammo blaster was a ton of fun

There's not much I can say about this, especially given the trailer: it's more REmakes. I imagine it's a Marmite thing, either you love 'em or you hate 'em, and maybe people are just waiting for the right game so... good for those who wanted to play RE4?
I'd like to give these a try. If I enjoy Resident Evil 2's remakes, I think I'd enjoy this one just as much.

A greedy, insidious mess of pay-to-win lootboxes and predatory monetisation. It may even be the most horrid example of the implementation of such systems that we have ever seen in a game of this type.
 
Activation-Blizzard (who I will refer to from now on as cock noses) released thier very much not anticipated "free-to-play" (a term I use very loosely indeed) addition to the Diablo franchise on Android, iOS and PC on June 2nd to a rousing chorus of "Yes, this is shit, like we expected". The only thing that the cock noses suppressed me with is just how bad it is.

Using the games deliberately convoluted and complex system involving buying premium currency's, crafting and using the systems that involve of a use of gameplay (You do have to actually play the game to earn the rewards you pay for, so a small glimmer of good from the cock noses in this sea of shit.) the using that premium currency to access certain rewards and areas of the game, it has been estimated that it would cost a minimum of $100,000 to max out a character in Diablo Immortal. I promise you, that is not a misprint, $100,000. It has also been estimated that to achieve the same without paying would take 10 years of play. No hours, not days, not weeks or even months. Years.
 
The cock noses were booed at Blizzcon 2018 over this game, and that was before they were exposed over the harassment and sexual misconduct that had been plaguing the company, so we knew back then what this going to be. So obviously, I didn't care about this game from minute one, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The cock noses clearly built these microtransactions into the same so integrally that they pulled the plug on the games release in countries like the Netherlands and Belgium where lootboxes are banned. They obviously couldn't remove them, there a vital part of the game to point where I'd say they are literally what the game if for, the game exists for them. So anyone who planned to play the "It's Optional" card, I'm telling you before you even begin you're wrong. If they microtransactions were optional, why couldn't they remove them then release the game in these countries like EA did with FIFA? That's right, the cock noses are worse than EA, that's how bad it is.
 
The only sign that the cock noses listened to the fans is the fact the game did release of PC as well, but means very little when the game is such an insult.
 
How do you feel about all of this?

Kojima's stories tend to be very deep with a lot of physiological and mythological meaning integrated into the plot so it doesn't surprise me that some people wouldn't like the story because it'll take a lot of thinking to decipher. Nowadays, gamers are used to mainly dumbed-down games so when something like this comes along, they'll tend to dislike it because it forces them to actually think...

I think we had a discussion like this a few years back and most people came to the same conclusion that it'd make gaming more stressful and after a while you'll suffer burnout and lose the passion for gaming.

Of course the ideal scenario is both but I was just gauging which one you guys would prioritize if you had to make a choice.

I've read a few articles that say Sony is planning to end the PS4 by 2025, in an attempt to put all their focus on the PS5. They are apparently slowing games production for the PS4 considerably already. But their plan is to move past the PS4, and go full-steam-ahead with the PS5. While I see this as a logical step from a business perspective, I don't think it will work out the way they want. The PS5 was released 2 years ago, and is still incredibly hard to find. The PS4 didn't suffer the same release issues. I know Covid is a factor here, so I'm forgiving them for that. But the world will still be reeling from the "aftershock" at best by 2025. The retailers are having an almost impossible time getting it. The only current gen system that is widely available is the Xbox Series S. The Series X is in the same boat as the PS5. So like I said, logical from a business perspective, but not a good idea just yet. Until production for the new system is able to go full-steam-ahead again, I don't think plans to discontinue one of their most successful consoles is the way to go. Granted we're talking about the games themselves here, but considering the context of things, they're essentially ending the PS4 all together if they stop releasing games for it.
