  2. You read that right. Microsoft's Xbox division is closing in on a deal to buy Activision-Blizzard in the largest acquisition in the companies' history. Full details form Variety here. The deal isn't set to close until the end of the next fiscal year (June 2023) and still needs approval from Activision-Blizzard shareholders, but this is looking for now like it will happen. I must say, bravo Microsoft! The more I think about it, I better understand the genius of this move because of the scandal surrounding Activision-Blizzard that came to light during 2021. Not only have Activision-Blizzard's share prices plummeted by 30% over the past year, making this great timing, but Activision-Blizzard are also a company desperate to shake the horrendous image that scandal brought to them. Who better to do that than Xbox? A brand that's really been impressing gamers with thier business decisions in recent years. I know that there will be concerns among PlayStation and Nintendo fans about Activision-Blizzard games becoming exclusive to the Xbox brand, and those concerns are justified, but for me, they publish almost nothing but crap anyway, so it doesn't bother me. And this might genuinely be a turning point for Activision-Blizzard. With Xbox in control, we might finally see an improvement in thier output. Let's face it, it can't get much worse at this stage. And if this leads to the culture change that the company so desperately needs, than even better. So...yeah. I find myself strangely optimistic about this.

  3. Well that sucks. It was supposedly something they had planned to make, but was cancelled by EA. Of course, EA making the dumb decisions to cancel a game that would have been huge at the time. EA has released other Harry Potter games, but I can't say I've ever played them. I have watched some lets players play them, but that's about it. Do you think a Harry Potter MMO would work? Aren't we getting one soon actually? Or it's somewhat like an MMO. I forget. Read more on this news here - https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ea-canceled-a-harry-potter-mmo-apparently/1100-6499248/

  4. Just to make my position on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT'S) clear..... FUCK THESE PLANET BURNING WASTES ALONG WITH EVERYONE WHO ACTIVITY PROMOTES OR TRADES THEM! I guess none of us should really be surprised that their getting worse. Not only has the once respectable Troy Baker backed a company selling voice over NFT'S that they have now admitted uses tech from a freely available text to speech service without permission (source: Eurogamer). Now some other asshole is using the likeness of popular YouTubers to push their worthless digital bullshit without consent from the YouTubers themselves. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022-01-17-gaming-youtubers-have-had-their-likenesses-stolen-and-sold-as-nfts Victims so far include Jim Sterling, Alanah Pearce and Caddicarus. This brings my piss to a boil because none of these people would support NFT'S and Jim Sterling in particular has made several video expressing his extreme distaste for them. I really hope YouTube step in and send a cease and desist to these wankers.

  5. I think it was more of a case of Vanguard not being as good as the previous two COD games. Both Modern Warfare and Cold War were pretty good so when Vanguard was disappointing, people just returned to one of those two titles. Hopefully they will work on this one and make sure it's released in a good state.

  6. That's something that should have been done a very long time ago. At least Xbox doesn't have to cover up for him or the board. He should be sued in my opinion.

  7. I used to abhor the idea of Spyro the Dragon being remade, remastered or whatever. I threw many a shitfit back in my YouTube days over the pUrItY of the classics, and now I don't care enough to do so any more. I like the intellectual exercise, I like joining in forums discussing and debating, but I no longer have the energy to dedicate to actually being tired out by it. The industry has long passed me by and I've got more important things to care about, as well as hobbies that simply don't aggrevate me as much. So remake away. I would add to that "so long as the original remains intact and available for play," but presevation has become a long forsaken concern.

  10. Seriously, are they going to be expecting me to replace it for them? They are definitely buying a new one immediately and still continue to play.

  11. They might still wake up and say fuck you all and still do exactly what they want to do and it's not going to change anything.

  12. There is a game named "clash of streamers". Which makes use of the image NFTs and the players use them to play games and earn crypto. A lot of youtubers images were stolen in that game too. https://clashofstreamers.com/

Just started Two point hospital, game is quite addicting and fun. I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. But can only imagine how tough it's going to get when you have to build multiple stages of your hospitals.

  18. The first Scream was a semi-entertaining movie. Overdone, and predictable, but still a way to kill an hour and a half if you're waiting on something and there's nothing better on. Like for example if the Scientology network isn't coming through, then put Scream on.

  19. It's grown rather significantly since then. If I was to list it again, it would probably take 10 minutes to read the entire list. And I also left several systems off the list, because I don't play them anywhere near as frequently as I used to. So they're just not listed.

  20. They do both have that distinct boomerang shape though, moreso than the Sega Genesis controller does.

  21. At best the game runs roughly $200 on eBay. And that's mostly for repros, not authentic carts. Personally I couldn't do a repro. I would have to spend the extra $ and buy an authentic cart.

  22. Who says he's doing it to better his health? I always did it just because I enjoyed it, and never even had a single thought about it affecting my health. That could be his reasoning for supposedly going on a hike. He could also have been out there waiting to pick someone up. There's a million variables that could be the answer. Even if you see him walking off the path, if he was picking someone up, he may have just walked 20-30 meters down to see if he could see whoever it was that he was there for. Unless he was wearing a chicken costume, there's too many variables to me.

  26. Addiction is a bitch. He was probably having a few during his hike. I've seen hiking trails with butts all along them. It's not an unheard of thing. He's a smoker. Just because he possibly went on a hike, doesn't mean he quit smoking during the hike.

    Favorite FMV games?

It doesn't really matter too much when someone else started playing games as long as he or she is playing in a healthy way.

  28. I'm for remakes when they're done right and are needed. Like, maybe they can improve upon controls, or glitches they can finally patch. Some bad games could be fixed up by just working on the controls. I think that's a little overboard, but to each their own. I don't think a remake would tarnish its legacy in anyway, as it's legacy has already been cemented.

  29. That is interesting. I didn't know games were actually utilizing real life scenes. That reminds me of The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker. Although the scenes only take place on the sofa, I think at least. I never played it. Now if only we can get a remake of the ps2 game Playboy:The Mansion, then the FMV will really take off lol.

  30. Given EA's track record with movie licences (including it's past with Harry Potter) added to the fact that that I would wouldn't feel good about any of my money, even one penny of it, ending up in pocket of a disgusting transphobe like JK Rowling, I can't say I'm that sad about this. Whilst promising in concept, there no way this game would have delivered anything but disappointment
