Hmm since you use an emulator you should totally check out Ninja five-o , It may be more know now for it's high price tag on the secondary market, but it's one of the best games if not my favourite game on the Gba. Combines all the best elements of ninja gaiden and bionic commando. Well that would be my top pick. Others i would check out in the worst case you don't like it but hey now. Keeping in mind i can't list any real long games. It's been a while since i played any gba games but from memory Astro Boy: Omega Factor -> It's made by treasure so you know it's good, mixture between shoot em up, platformer and beat em up. Gunstar Super Heroes -> another one made by treasure, kind of a sequel to the 16 bit classic on the genesis/megadrive. Yggdra Union -> This mixes strategy rpg gameplay with card battles and it does it quite well from what i remember. Kuru Kuru Kururin -> Hands down the best puzzle game on the system, you've not played anything like this i can tell you that. Lady Sia -> a fellow collector recommended me this a long time saying it was one of the most underrated and best platformers on the gba (it was also quite cheap at the time) and you know he was right. Can't remember too much about it since it's been years that i played it. If you wanna get real funky and try out a long game when you are done with these you should also give Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, imo this one of the best strategy rpg's ever made. Multiple endings which was fresh for the time. There are also a ton of disney games on the gba especially the mickey games are quite good platformers and recaptures the magic of the 16 bit ones fairly well. I diden't list any nintendo games since everybody knows about them but if you haven't give Wario land 4 a try when you are at it. Normally i would have included both Advance wars games but since they are being remade for the switch it's mostlikely better to wait on that. Man i feel like charging up my gba now and play some games on it myself now.

  2. Why are Nintendo's handhelds so much more successful than their home consoles?

  3. How would things be different if Nintendo and Sony stayed together for the SNES CD add-on? I don't think the partnership would have lasted. The past almost 30 years have proven that Nintendo and Sony have fundamentally different philosophies regarding video games and business as a whole.

  10. I have not been able to complete Final Fantasy 9. Although, it's because Final Fantasy 7 Remake have captured my mind and everything about the game's franchise.

  11. What is the most dramatic thing you have done to protect your console? This question applies mostly to people with kids and pets. I dove between my cat and my PS5 and let her vomit on me to spare my console.

  14. An little anecdote to add to all this, because of this partnership Sony and Nintendo systems shared certain components. The design of AV output socket on the N64, the GameCube and the Wii is the same one on the PlayStation, PS2 and PS3. Just with the pins were changed to make sure that they aren't cross compatible (Nintendo's idea no doubt).

  15. I would definitely like to have a new remake of The Last of Us. For a game that was first released in 2013, it's long over due for a remake if they would do it.

  17. The only F2P game that I can think of that I have spent money on is sudoku. I have it on my phone and it's free to play it, but it has a lot of ads. However for $15 per year you can get rid of the ads. Since I play it constantly, it was a no-brainer for me to pay it.

I was actually going to post this in another thread, but it was bit off topic, so I'll post it here. I had mentioned the Kinect in that thread then remembered this video, and I think everyone deserves to see this video. This guy is hilarious. I know the video is an hour long, but trust me it's worth it.

  20. I don't see this making any difference. EA football or whatever they plan to name the series from now on will be same, toxic pile of slime as least year's game, like it is every year. The only change to expect is to perhaps see another developer/publisher making the official FIFA game in the future, and I wouldn't expect much from that either. If anything FIFA care even less about the quality and ethics of the EA Sports FIFA games than EA did. They were happy for the games to that toxic pile of slime so long as that topic pile of slime make them money. @Withywarlock may have described this a "The End of Era", but to me it sounds more reminiscent of that time somebody in 1918 said "That was the war to end all war.". Just a prologue to more misery and disappointed.

  21. That's to say, nothing last forever. EA tried in the past to handle the FIFA license soccer series, but their recent edition of the series aren't what it supposed. So, lots of gamers expressed being disgruntled with what EA offered with FIFA series. I think is the best thing they did with the trademark name 'FIFA, to end agreement. I'll looking forward seeing better version of the FIFA soccer game in the future, when a better video game studio takes over to continue with the brand.

  23. I'm very certain that the cost factor of hiring them is not a wise business idea because on the long run, it might not be beneficial to the company. Yes, I know they might pull some fans over to the game but not all fans loves the same celebrity.

  24. Try The Dark Pictures Anthology series. Man Of Medan is a really good one. They're RPG's and every single little detail of what you do affects the entire story of the game. Even if you walk up stairs or make your bed. It's available for up to like 6 players if I remember right, but you pick the characters you want to control, and the game tells you when it's someones turn. So I highly recommend it.

  25. The money factor is always going to be very big challenge for the gaming company. The figures those celebrities will ask for can either make or break the company. Look at how much Cyberpunk 2077 cost for its development.

  27. I usually go with a rouge set with a bit of magic, but I also like to focus on a character's ability to craft and improve weapons and armour. In most games you can manufacture better gear that what you'll find laying around with the right skills, perks and so on. In shooters, I always value accuracy and single shot power over a high rate of fire. Attack at longer range and save ammo.

  28. They take more money and helps the publishers make more money from the game in return which leaves only the gamers bleeding more.

  29. Celebs should stay away from videogames, we don't need them, their presence in my opinion is detrimental to games. For example Cyberpunk 2077 was extensively re-written to give an earlier entrance and more significant role to Keanu Reeves. Which I think has made the game much worse than it could've been had they stuck to the original pacing of the story. Celebs are bad for gaming because: They take a huge paycheck that could be better utilized to make the actual game better. They stifle artistic freedom because artists instead of creating any character they imagine they have to re-create the celebrity's likeness in the game They hinder writing, because characters played by celebrities, get preferential treatment by the writers. They prevent modding, because most celebrities would not allow people to use their likeness in any non pre-approved way. They take jobs from dedicated voice actors who have been in the industry long before gaming become a multi billion dollar industry. While the advantage of having them is singular: Marketing value through name recognition That's it.

  30. Worst games are those where you are being told that you should churn and pay for the character which is strong for the game, buy and play it. well that is pretty disturbing in games.
