  1. It doesn't really matter to me, as long as I'm not paying extra for a fancy case. The PC I'm using now has one side that's clear and neon lights on the fans. But I would be happy with it if it was in an old white case from the Win95 era.
  2. Covers are incredibly boring. It turns me off on a lot of games. My typical logic thinking is that if they put so little effort in making an attractive cover, then what is to make me think the game will be any better? Or even good for that matter. Back in the early days, game covers were all artistic as hell. beautiful drawings. I mean look at these: Beautiful, right? Now look at this. Cover art has seriously gone down in quality.
  3. Biden and Harris have a lot of work to do to fix all the fuckups that Adolf and Adolf junior implemented. They destroyed this country as much as they could, and made us a laughing stock. Our allies all abandoned us. The UK was hanging by a thread in our favor. But we couldn't call on them simply because of Adolf. Even Canada told us to fuck off. Now that both Adolfs are out, our former allies may give us another chance.
  4. Adolf is out, and Hero Joe is President! The nation can finally be fixed and run correctly. 4 years of hell under a nazi dictatorship are finally over.
  5. Nope. I keep them all. I know for a fact that I’ll regret it instantly if I do, so I opt to keep them.
  6. From the little bit of open world games I’ve played, it’s a difficult toss up between RDR2 and Skyrim. The Witcher just couldn’t grab me, nor could BOTW. I’ll give them another shot at some point in the future, I’m sure. But right now they just don’t do it for me. Now taking into consideration that I’ve always been a major fantasy nut, Skyrim would seem to be the obvious choice. But RDR2 has a family setting that I have longed for, for damn near 39 years. So personally I just can’t pick one over the other.
  7. @DCauctioned off 2 of them. Otherwise a pillow works in a pinch.
  8. Cameras when I was a kid cost a lot more than they do now. The pics were low resolution, and having to have a steady supply if flash cubes was an expensive pain in the ass.
  9. Not construction. Some like to make art with wood. My sperm donor was a master craftsman. There’s nothing he couldn’t do with wood. The man may have been a drunk piece of shit, but he was able to build some of the most beautiful things with wood.
  10. No I'm not published yet. I haven't found a publisher that I want to go with. I have considered self publishing, but I don't really like going that route. If and when it happens, I'll definitely post to let people know.
  11. Do you have a Switch? I bought a cartridge a year or two ago that is both FF7 and FF8 on it. Now that I have it portable, I play it too much. The FF8 is the remastered version with items like Ribbons, Friendships, and others unlocked. On the PS1 you had to have a pocketstation to get them. Now you just have to let Rinoa's dog Angelo search for them in battles. My way to get them is to get in a battle with something (preferably hexadragon) and set Zell with firaga junctioned to his attack and counter junctioned to him. That way when Angelo counters for Rinoa, zell can continuously heal him. Then I leave it on overnight and just farm items. Whatever you fight can't be something like a bite bug. It has to be strong. To do it this way, you also have turn on the invincibility. But either way, a Ribbon is worth it. It makes you 100% immune to all status abnormalities, including death. I think it's the best item in the game personally.
  12. I thought once about trying out, but wouldn't have qualified. It's called paralympics not disabledlympics. I'm in a wheelchair, but I can still stand up. So that would have qualified as an unfair advantage. Either way, I don't plan on watching. I never watch the regular Olympics either. The only sport I watch on TV is hockey.
  13. I'm on the fence about Netflix. It's rare that I can find what I'm looking for there. They don't even offer any of the shows that I watch. Granted they have their own originals, a lot of which are actually good. But when I'm trying to find something, it's never on Netflix. For example I love Family Guy and American Dad. The only place I can find them is Hulu. I like that because I can watch seasons that haven't hit DVD yet. I have almost every season of both shows on disc, but not the newest ones. Also Law & Order: SVU is another favorite. But it's not on Netflix or Amazon Prime. The only actual thing I watch Netflix for anymore is their stand up selection.
  14. They do a "polar plunge" as they call it here every year. And every year at least one asshole stays in too long and ends up with severe hypothermia and has to go to the hospital. Apparently, Americans still haven't figured out what "common sense" means.
  15. I'm not lying. I found this post yesterday. https://columbiamo.craigslist.org/vgm/d/columbia-new-ps5-disk-edition/7224296555.html
  16. I have multiple copies of FF8. Both original black label and greatest hits. I also have collectors editions of the guide. I have roughly about 20 PS1 memory cards, and just as many PS2 cards. It can be a real pain in the ass finding the specific file you want to play with that many cards, but if you end up playing big games that take multiple blocks, then it's virtually required. One that I've seen going for a lot online that's in my collection is Castlevania SOTN. Another thing I have that seems to be rare is the Assassins Creed edition of the PSP. I lost the game LONG AGO, but still have the machine somewhere around here.
  17. Many times. I've woken up to a game over screen more times than I care to count. It's frustrating as hell.
  18. Yes it's art. It's no different than music or movies. It's a medium that people use to show their artistic side. Some do other things. My art is the written word. I've written 2 novels, several short stories, and a hell of a lot of unconventional poetry. Some prefer a brush. Some prefer a saw and hammer. It's art from those that have the drive and knowledge to create it. There are games I personally just aren't into all the way to others that I despise. But my feeling on those games does not negate the fact that they are still art.
  19. I don't use a headset, but if anyone is interested in earbuds that have a microphone I recommend getting Raycons. The sound quality is perfect, and the microphone is perfectly clear. I use them a lot when I'm driving so I don't have to worry about trying to handle my phone and can just take care of the call. They're bluetooth and seamless. They're also comfortable as hell, and don't fall out.
  20. I have to give nakano.io a shout out. They're a small indie developer, but they have put out some really great games. I have several on my Switch, and no complaints whatsoever.
  21. I don't know your son obviously, but depending on his age, image can be everything. He may just want it to either keep up with his friends, or have some false sense of superiority. If he has what kids his age have determined the best, it will elevate his standing among his peers. Unless childhood has significantly changed in the last 30 years.
  22. The only game like that that I can think of would be Campaign '84 on Colecovision. Nothing recent comes to mind however.
  23. Depending on which platform you're wanting to play on would help narrow down games. I have 3 on my Switch that are fun. I don't know what all platforms they're available on, so you would want to look into that depending on what you're playing on. These may not really be what you're looking for, but here's the trailers anyway. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ American Fugitive +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Earthworms +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thief Simulator
