  1. If this is short and dumpy the world would be a much prettier place XDDDD

  2. The apology is too little too late. He never should have said something like that. It's nothing but body shaming. She can't do anything about her height, but even if she is a little overweight (which I can't see at all) he has no right to call her "dumpy". This asshole needs to be fired and blacklisted.

  3. The video game awards will be back this December, is anyone excited? I'm more interested in the reveals more than anything, but they will be adding one new category. That new category being best adaptation, as in video games turned into movies, tv shows, comic books and other such media. So you probably won't see the likes of The Last Of Us make the list, but I'm sure they will include the Halo show, that Resident Evil show and I imagine there are a few other game adaptations I'm forgetting. Anyway, feel free to discuss what games you think will also make the Game Awards this year. https://www.ign.com/articles/the-game-awards-returns-in-december-with-a-new-category?utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A Trending Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2m5-9UI_yYzXZZyrHagCYvSDPw72xVk0kngiZAT4HNrUsHweM7QVLMY0Y

  4. https://www.ign.com/articles/foxtel-ceo-apologizes-for-calling-game-of-thrones-star-emilia-clarke-a-short-dumpy-girl Before a House of the Dragon screening, TV exec Patrick Delany described Emilia Clarke as a “short, dumpy girl” while attempting to make a joke about his ignorance at the time of Game of Thrones. Naturally, fans were incensed. The Foxtel Group has since apologized on his behalf.

  6. Eating with hands is quite normal in man parts of the world though. I have had the opportunity to eat some street food and to honest they test really good, I have eaten the bean cake, massa made from baked rice and eaten with a vegetable sauce really tasty and many too numerous to mention. Some are made on the streets but around areas where it is quite clean looking but some are made near the sewers and drainage paths and places like this is where it becomes quite irritating to buy some street food from.

  7. I wouldn't describe myself as "Being on the Hype Trian" as such but the build up to the release of the PS4 and XBox One was certainly entertaining.

    Playstation is being sued

I don’t understand how they claim this is ripping off consumers. Wouldn’t that mean that games would be more expensive digitally than they would be physically? If anything the 30% take would be a rip off to publishers. Also they claim Sony has a monopoly on digital PlayStation games because the PlayStation store is the only place to buy them. That’s like saying the Pokemon company has a monopoly on Pikachu.

  9. It depends on the game. In a game that's more gameplay than story and where there isn't too much focus on dialogues I don't mind it at all. Skyrim's approach is - altough it takes getting used to - still bearable for a game with lots of story because your character still 'talks', it's just not voiced. Other times it's just hilariously bad like in the newer FarCry's where you have constant dialogue with lots of story but your character is completely silent. Everyone talks in a way that doesn't require a reply from you which is just off and not how conversations work. It's like every npc in the game knows that guy who never talks a word but does everything you ask him to do without questions.

  10. This has always been true, it's just super hard to remove the idea from esports because grinding is what got every player to where they are now. Asking them to change what worked forever, especially since the initial change will likely result in a drop in perceived skill, is super tough. It probably won't change until we have more robust youth esports programs that teach kids how to properly practice at a young age

  11. Just for the sake of context this is the figure of the woman that this idiot described as "dumpy". I think he was trying make a sort of ironic kind of statement in the same way you might call a tall person "shorty" or something, but this was just stupid.

  12. Yeah. And that. To me those 4 and Ardyn are what carried it for me. I would have probably stopped playing if it wasn't for their fun brotherly road trip dynamic. I think more JRPGs can take cues from this and have more games where the party only has about 4 characters since that's part of why their dynamic works well.

    Gamescom 2022

On Topic The Outlast Trials Most definitely The dud for me. Spin-offs of horror/survival games never turn out well, so I have no faith in thIS whatsoever. Dead Island 2 Not really my sort sort of thing, but it does look quite good for what it is. I'll keep an eye on that one. Dune That short cinematic didn't really tell us anything, but i feel movie licenced games are at least taken seriously enough that we see something quite good out of it in the end, but I'm gonna keep my expectations low. Where Winds Meet If this isn't quite as close to an AC rip of as it looks in this trailer, then it has real potential. One thing for certain is it needs some serious work and polish as the graphics were a bit muddy and the game was very choppy in that trailer. Hopefully, in the final game those issues will be addressed. Lies of P As a storytelling experience, possibly the most promising game I've seen so far from Gamescom. The world is cool, very steampunk in it's aesthetics, but I am a little concerned that combat and action might not be up to snuff. If it is, then this has real potential. Atlas Fallen By far the most promising game I've seen from Gamescom so far. I'm getting Horizon Zero Dawn/ Forbidden West crossed with Platinum games style action vibes. The art style was striking, the combat looked empowering and the set up for the story looked very interesting and I already want to know more about that world. The team behind Dune must feel a little shat on with this game announced with such a good trailer at the same show. Trust me, this is the one to watch out for, I promise you.

  14. Oh you should like totally send me one if you're not using it, lol. Just kidding. 😄 I've heard bad things about the lite models, but I wouldn't mind picking up one. But I do worry a lot about joycon drift on those. Is it as bad as actual joycons?

    Gamescom 2022

It's quite possible to discuss these individual games on the Gamescom thread as well. This just makes it easier for everyone to see what was revealed at Gamescom without having to move in and out of individual topics. If it's OK, I would to do my job and make a decision for the the forum without getting talked back if you don't mind. We can look at individual topics for these games as the release dates, new trailers and so on get revealed.

  16. Till I drag that your tounge in that your emoji 😂!! Well, you're right about the way PC allows you to multitask when using it unlike when it's on consoles, you only have one option which is play the damn game 😂.

  17. With me, I'm just lazy and prefer the ease of use that comes with digital purchases. The ability to download them a week or so in advance for some games. It's just an overall faster process than buying physical. But if it's a game I really want to add to a collection, I may add it one day. But digital will be fine for now.

  18. Don't get me wrong, I want him to succeed here, I truly do, but I'm also a realist and thus I believe he is going to fall on his ass because I don't think he fully understands how this works. Whether Sony are right or wrong in this is irrelevant, what matters is that, as far as I can tell, how Sony charges commission is the basis for his whole argument and it doesn't make sense. Not only is that a weak argument to make on behalf of the consumer anyway, is it also pretty much the exact same thing that happens throughout the industry, so either everybody is guilty of this or nobody is. Even retailers selling physical copies of games charge commission, that's how they get a cut. This would make sense if he could prove that Sony was consistently charging more for thier games on PSN then on anywhere else. I decided to test this by looking at how a random game was priced across the board and after just that on game this this theory is already looking shaky. The game I choose was Stray. Here is how much Stray costs on the British PSN Store right now. This is for the PS4 and PS5 version And on Steam... OK, it's £1 less. And I'll say, I don't think Sony can justify that. They probably would have some sort of bullshit excuse lined up, but it's starting to look like Alex Neill has a case, until you take a look at GAME, the high street retailer that operates in the UK. That's important because that is where this law suit is being filed. (BTW, I have no idea why GAME is still listing this as a pre-order when the game is already out, but I promise you this fresh is a screen snip I just took for this very post.) How on earth is Alex going to prove Sony are ripping people off when the country's most prominant video game retailer is charging a full £10 more for the same game? You see, he has not thought this through.

  19. No dude thats not what the thread is about. If you were a super hero, what would be your tragic backstory? Like what made you become a hero or what gave you your powers Like for example batman lost his parents so he became a hero

  20. If I am a super hero as your thread title implies, I wouldn't worry much about my career endeavour, because I got the super power to transform anything I want and avoid anything that will cause me sadness. I'll gladly make a career in football to fulfill my childhood dream.

  21. You also don't want to waste too much time in one division because competitive play for games outside of fighting games can often have several limitations. Several years ago, most of the COD tournaments in the Advanced Warfare era really just focused on one type of gameplay mode. Fighting games generally let you pick whoever you want, with whatever tools you want, and you're aloud to play any way you want. Some newer people might think that they can just cheese their way through an elite tournament with spamming but that doesn't work because fighting games are based on math and frame data. There's math involved in throwing out a fireball or projectile, for example, and all a pro has to do is know how to counter that math with better math and touch you one time with a full combo punish that could result in 40% damage or more each time they touch you just single time (depending on the fighting game). That means that someone could just open you up 2 or 3 times clean and your entire bar is gone, whether you try to spam or not. So in that sense spamming is generally welcomed in tournaments, but frowned down upon in certain circumstances as people are looking for a showcase of skill and its quite frankly easier to beat people with combos.

  22. I am sold already. Technically speaking Oddworld Strangers Wrath (original and HD remake) had weapons you used that were all alive and they did said some stuff in unintelligible gibberish when equipped, so this game reminds me of that. Only thing I don't like about it is that it appears to be download only where I like to physically own my stuff in general. The shooting mechanics and stuff look pretty solid, although they didn't show alot of the tools besides the different talking and what appears to be a device similar to Zelda's hookshot. Taking down the drug cartels also sounds like fun. Maybe I will try clutching the #1 Rank in the World on this game if possible. I will likely go for it day 1 and see what I can do.

    Anyone plays splitgate?

soooo, I went looking for splitgate mobile and all I found was "it's in development." 😐😂 Source: https://www.inverse.com/gaming/splitgate-mobile-port-release-date-ios-android-nintendo-switch a news article from late 2021. and I found one other guide for splitgate "mobile" which was recommending using GeForce Now to stream the game through my phone, which was not an option, as I don't have the fastest of internet speeds. 😐 https://en.gizchina.it/2021/09/come-giocare-splitgate-android-iphone/ maybe I should just try this on my potato GT630 🤣
