  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again, unless an official announcement comes from Konami there are no Silent Hill projects in development. Although when it comes to Silent Hill the fanbase seem to continue to be wildly over optimistic and have zero capacity to think things reasonably despite rumours of a new entry in the Silent Hill franchise turning out to be false countless times. They just jump right on the bandwagon over and over again, I don't know what to do anymore.

  2. You know what, let's just be honest here, even if Konami do announce another Silent Hill game, is it REALLY worth getting excited about? Konami's track record since Kojima left has been, frankly, fucking appalling! Every game release following MGS5: The Phantom Pain has been a critical and commercial disaster. Seriously ask yourselves, Do you even want the publisher behind Metal Gear Survive, Contra Rouge Corps and eFootball anywhere near Silent Hill?

  3. This is an interesting list of games banned in certain parts of the world. Some example from the article below are; Fallout 3 is banned in India because of there being two headed mutant cows, and I guess in India, cows are very sacred animals. Another example is Pokemon Go, which was banned in Malaysia because of, and I quote: "The game promoted the search for power". What that means I have no clue, and neither does the article writer lol. Even Animal Crossing: New Horizons was banned in China because people were able to make clothing items that were against China and people can go to other islands wearing it, and so they decided to just outright ban the game. There are others on this list, but you can read the rest here - https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/banned-video-games Any of these odd to you?

  4. Hi everyone. I was looking for a new community to settle down in and found this place via Google. I enjoy RPGs and adventure games, particularly games where your choices affect the story like Mass Effect and Detroit: Become Human. I got into Shin Megami Tensei games recently and I'm currently playing through Devil Survivor: Overclocked on my New 3DS. Aside from gaming, I also like to binge-watch older TV shows like The Sopranos and The Wire, but I haven't had much time to do that ever since I got into the SMT-binge. Oh well. Feel free to ask me any question so that we can know each other better. 🙂 I hope to see you guys around soon.

  5. They could be fake. Seeing as how Tokyo Game Show is happening in a few weeks, this could be some idiot's idea of poking fun at the fans. As if we haven't suffered enough disappointment in recent memory. It's a cruel world. People do do this crap. However, Dusk Golem maintains that the remake is still happening... I guess we don't have long to wait to find out what Konami's unannounced game will be. Regards, from Candy Stick.

  6. I don't. Usually what I do is wait a few weeks for feedback and gameplay videos to filter out so I can see if it's something I'd even want to buy. Then if I still want to buy it, I wait until it hits $30 or less. The only games I don't wait for a price drop on are first-party Nintendo games, since Nintendo rarely if ever drops their prices.

  7. Whilst I don't agree with what Sony has done, this price increase in no way vindicates any theory that the sacristy caused by supply issues through the pandemic was a part of any plan from Sony or anybody else. That microchip shortage reached and affected just about every manufacturing industry from games consoles to waste refuse vehicles.

  8. IGN's editor gave Cuphead an 8.8 out of 10, and I'd say that closely matches the text of the review. They've also rated Xenoblade Chronicles 8 out of 10, and both games were reviewed by different people. If we're going to bash people or projects let's do so with appropriate examples and not use that to tar others with the same brush. The whole "too much water" meme from IGN to give one such example is funny when taken in good humour... which most do not because they didn't read the article. This isn't exclusive to you nor is it a telling off, it's just a suggestion for improving the discourse seen here. It does not take long for a circlejerk to happen on this forum, and I'd prefer to prevent that than have to divert it afterwards. Having said all that, the gameplay in that video of it looks fairly decent. Makes me want to get back into JRPGs, which I know I love but just cannot bring myself to play that often. 😣

  11. Speaking of david vs goliath I'd be curious how Club Brugge is going to perform now that they are in a group where they have chance for third place and maybe second place, i'm considering of getting tickets for their home game against atletico madrid if i can my hands on them. eventough i doubt they will get very far Ac milan is a team i'm looking forward to see them playing especially now they have an influx of belgian players now that their record signing is the most exiting talent we have in years, Charles De Ketelaere is probably going to be heir to eden hazard. I'm also kinda curious how divock origi is going to do, as he seems to have a nose for scoring important goals.

  12. I'd say collecting videogames altough nearly everybody who is into videogames seems to do it these days but i still get shit for it every once in a while, like dude why are you still buying all those games or how the heck do yo keep affording it all or why the fuck do you collect japanese region video games or it's time you grow up the fuck up, you know that sort off comments and in most cases even those comments even come from family and friends.

  13. I subscribed to Xbox live in order so i could watch youtube on my tv, in the early 360 days youtube was a paid app, they later reversed that decision and made it free, nowadays i just keep gold around for the games with gold you get every month other then that i have no real use for it since i don't game online. Also I don't really want to have anything to do with gamepass and all the other game services out there because i like my games physical.

I love that Amazon, which owns IMDB btw, deleted the 1-5 star reviews on IMDB. Also love that House of the Dragon got low review scores as well for its "diversity"- oh wait, that didn't happen. HotD did well in spite of its diverse cast. Guess diversity was never really the issue, huh?

  17. Believe me, that's not the only ones - there are whole host of IGN reviews that are so wide of the mark that you'd think they were talking about a different game.
    1 point
  18. Thanks man but IGN's reviews aren't exactly the greatest or most accurate. I'd much rather ask fellow gamers than these journalists who can barely play Cuphead.

  20. Even Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, Bleach and many of the more mainstream anime have some very insightful lessons that you can apply to your own life - Boruto is trash (sorry - had to put that in before anyone accused me of liking that crap).

  21. The pandemic is a very huge contributor because just prior to that, people used to go to cinemas pretty often. Adding to that some major studios such as Warner Bros getting into the streaming game - movie theaters will definitely go the way of Blockbuster.

  22. Anime is so ridiculously diverse that I jsut don't see why people have this perception of anime watchers. They do tend to oversexualize some things in anime but that's not why we watch them (maybe I should say I instead lol).

  24. I've been wishing for that since the early 2000's but Nintendo values their franchises so deeply and the money they make from them that even just holding an unofficial event commemorating those characters can end up with you being sued by Nintendo. They want their properties to remake on Nintendo platforms only and that's why they always go after Emulator makers and others like that.

  25. They'd probably need to come up with a unique service not currently offered in the gaming industry for that to happen. Either that or when they gain a big enough reputation in this industry, they'll be able to hold their own against Sony and the others...somewhat.

  28. The Nintendo one is kind of mandatory for downloading games to the Switch and having online access in most titles. Gamepass gives you a whole host of games for a relatively affordable price per month. I don't use EA Play for obvious reasons and if Ubisoft or any other of those companies have one, I still wouldn't get it either.

  29. I'd want this to be a success but because Konami is the one developing it, I'm keeping my expectations pretty low and I know I'm still going to be disappointed afterwards. Now if it were someone like Kojima or Capcom...I'd be through the moon about this as the Silent Hill series is something I grew up playing as well.

  30. When it comes to something like gamepass for example. It's cheap and gets you a ton of games at a single price. Not only that it gets you Xbox live as well, at least with ultimate it does. I don't buy games that often these days. That's one other reason I like gamepass, because it allows me to play all of these games I never would have otherwise. And with me, I tend to play a game once. And then never go back to it. That's another reason I like gamepass, because I can pull from a bunch of games, play them, finish them, and then grab the next one. I don't think I would purchase most of the games on game pass either. It saves me a lot in the long run.

  31. In some cases they offer WAY better value than paying for games outright. For example, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is £54.99 on Origin, but you can play it via EA Play which grants access to it and a ton of other games on Console and PC for £3.99 a month or £19.99 for a year... It's a no brainer!

awww, that's a bummer, raft is good, but I mainly watch content creators getting creative on YouTube. Maybe you should try the forest, it has a good story, or maybe rust, since it's a survival multiplayer. 😁

  33. Even if it’s early pitch concepts, it doesn’t look too bad. I hope they don’t use the warm colour palette, as SH2 has a very cold and damp feeling with the blues, greens and greys… almost like a corpse. Seeing as Bloober is working with Akira Yamaoka, and it seems like Masahiro Ito is working on another SH game, I hope they’re involved with the rumoured games to a great degree.

  34. Tbh, what exactly were you expecting out of this remake? I find it weird to buy a remake and go “it’s the same game!” after buying it. Was it advertised as being different?

  41. The thing is Luna's launch was pretty poor and yes they have their own gaming studio but didn't they have that game that literally bricked Nvidia graphics cards? I think it was New World? Amazon isn't going to go much further than Netflix because they're both up against Xbox Gamepass and Playstation Plus, both of whom belong to companies that have huge reputations in the industry so they'll need to overcome that hurdle.

Agreed. It was impressive for the time and I'm amazed at how memorable and heartwarming the soundtrack is. You just can't beat Aquatic Ambience, especially its chorus at the 1:20 mark. Space Invaders was developed by Taito and published by Atari, at least it was on consoles. Taito had developed games for Nintendo consoles at times, and some of their games are on a Nintendo Switch collection. While Taito were acquired by publisher Square Enix of Final Fantasy fame, Atari these days exist only in name, their past glories a sad footnote in the pages of gaming history. So in answer to your question at long last... no. 😅

  44. I don't think I can be engaging on Reddit, the administrators there are too strict and the, they can ban you anytime when they feel you are rigging the upvotes. I hate it when I get banned when I'm not cheating the system. Upvoting regularly to what I love isn't bad, that's the reason why the feature was added there.

  45. I think the main reason people don't know, is because they don't really advertise them anywhere. You'd think they would put a small ad on their Netflix app to promote them at least. And I see someone mentioned ads on Netflix. I'm for it. I don't mind ads before and after programming. Just as long as it's not in the middle of the program.
